Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Armonia

Chose this cruise due to very reasonable price. Never sailed with MSC before and heard that they had fantastic food. Our experience was that food in main dining room was mediocre at best, and not up to par with Norwegian or Princess cruiselines. Had a steak fiorst night, it was tough as shoe leather. Buffet selections were OK, but scrambles eggs were cold every day. Stage performers worked very ...

MSC Armonia review Each person that cruises will have their own set of criteria for evaluating a cruise. Complaints by some are rejected by others. I accept that. Having been fortunate enough to have traveled on many cruises across several cruise lines, I will do my best to be objective. Overall MSC is a very successful company for cargo transport that has expanded into the passenger cruise ...

No comedy shows, Never been to the cruise ship doesn’t have comedy shows. cafeteria level of food at the main buffet. There is no soup in buffet. Food is so so in dining room.Too smoky due to smokers even inside the shop. Liked itinerary but the time at the every port was too short not enough time to explore the port or shopping. Crew Staff will give 10 stars for their quality service. Walking ...

Disappointing, If You Like Feeling You're On a Ship at Sea

We were all underwhelmed with this particular cruise line, the ship, and the itinerary, which our family had chosen primarily for the planned stop in Cuba. Unfortunately, that port got cancelled due to the current political situation, and the second most-anticipated port, Costa Maya, where our grandkids were especially keen to see Mayan ruins, got cancelled at the last minute—with the pier in ...

This was our second cruise with MSC. As we live in Southwest Florida, it was wonderful being able to arrive early to begin the embarkation process. Once we used the self-service machines to load money onto our board account, we wandered around the ship a bit before grabbing lunch at the buffet. The buffet was chaotic and the food was not to our tastes. My husband is European and I am American and ...

Went on the Armonia Oct 21st! Have been on 15 cruises, first MSC. Upon reading the reviews, I was not expecting much as this is an older more basic ship. Here is my review. The ship itself was VERY CLEAN. No issues there, it does need an update but I think it is going into dry dock soon. We had an Oceanview room on the 9th floor which was fine. Our room steward was excellent and although ...

Chose cruise because of price and we have never been on MSC. Overall was just ok. Food did not even come close to expectations. We quit going to the dinning room after three tries. Never had TOUGH lobster before, fish overdone and dry, shrimp which I love, could not chew them, roast tough and stringy. Buffet, same, over cooked, poor choices, hamburgers were bone dry not a drop of moisture left in ...

We usually cruise other cruise lines but wanted to try MSC. The ship itself was clean and well maintained. Our inside cabin had a lot of storage space but the shower had to be one of the smallest we have ever seen. The food was OK with only a few bad spots. There was nothing on the menu that was outstanding. The officers and crew were extremely friendly and accommodating. Our embarkation and ...

Mediocre 2 week cruise for a family of 5

First time..2 week cruise for our family of five. My husband and I have already been on 2 Carnival cruises which were fun and decided to book a 2 week cruise for us and our 3 children (first time on a cruise for the kids 18, 16, 14). CONS: - Food was mediocre. Luckily my kids are really easy to please and were content with pizza, burgers, fries and gelato. The buffet was average, normal ...

Tidbits of the good and the bad

I decided to keep this review to some of the highs and lows of the cruise. The cruise was extended two days due to the hurricane and two more days for free on a cruise ship was pretty nice. I stayed in an interior and the room was very well designed with a real chair to sit on in front of a little desk area--better than other lines I have been on. However, never again will I complain about a ...
