Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

Even the engineer in our group wasn't completely wowed by the canal, we've cruised other canals, know how they work...other than the history and kinda cool engineering of recycling the water it wasn't that exciting and made us wonder why it was a "bucket list" thing for some. There are other smaller canals around the world that are much more fun to navigate because there are sights along the way, ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Crystal Serenity

We were excited but apprehensive. We had decided not to sail the Symphony again because of the age of the ship and the HVAC issues. Given that this was a newer ship we decided to take the Jan 5 Caribbean cruise as we truly missed sailing on Crystal (had gone on over 35 segments). The positives: Rooms have been nicely redone and we paid up for the Sapphire suite which was spacious, well ...

We chose this cruise for several reasons. The Panama Canal crossing was of interest as was the embarkation city of Miami. Embarkation was seamless and disembarkation was also complaint free. By the time the cruise started we lost 4 ports and ended up with an extra night in Los Angeles and a trip to Puerto Vallarta. Not happy with the last minute changes that were attributed to "green energy" ...

This has been the only cruise line we have been on this being our fourth cruise. As with all cruise lines post-pandemic, They are cutting a few corners to increase their bottom line. less entertainment and reducing hours and variety at their buffet. That was all that I noticed. I believe every cruise line is doing that. The Panama Canal was a little boring. You are just slowly going through the ...

This cruise was my bucket list cruise. Leaving Miami cruising through the Panama Canal and ending up in Los Angeles. 15 days with 7 ports, going places I've never been. Embarkation went really well, things were very organized and it was a smooth process. The ship itself was very clean. The crew did an excellent job keeping things clean. The food was great, we did eat at the buffet most of ...

We recently completed a 15 day Panama Canal crossing trip on the NCL Bliss. Overall, this cruise was an excellent and enjoyable experience. That said, some improvements could be made: Two excellent plays, “Jersey Boys” and “Six” were each shown 4 times. However, the ticketing computers indicted all shows were sold out the first night of the cruise. Given the theater seats nearly 1,000 ...

We always wanted to cruise the Panamá Canal and for $1400.00 each for 15 days plus $150.00 onboard credit was very good value for a stateroom with a balcony. It was from Miami to Los Angelos. We flew into Fort Lauderdale which we are now glad about as apparently there are long queues at Miami airport and stayed at the La Quinta Inn. It was only $35.00 for an Uber to Miami from there, The hotel ...

My wife, mother (87 years old), sister and her husband, brother and his significant other, and I recently returned from a trans-Canal cruise, “Christmas on the Canal,” on the Regent Splendor. This was a bit of a “hail Mary” cruise after an utterly horrible experience on a prior cruise on the Splendor (see “Splendor? Not So Much”). What gave us some belief that service would be better was an ...

We chose this 21 day cruise, from Miami to Seattle, to traverse the Panama Canal, and stops in Central America (Panama City, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Guatemala). First, the positives: Check-in was fairly fast, considering the number of people; Disembarkation was very fast; the entire ship's staff was fantastic; the service was excellent; the selection and quality of food was great; the entire ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Carnival Miracle

The March 5 repositioning was excellent from Miami to the Miracle's new home (we hope) in San Francisco. Although there was some concern about the novel coronavirus, it was the best ship in the world to sail on. The Miracle was coming off of 15 days in dry dock in Freeport with replacement of many furnishings and plenty of time for any residual virus to die (published studies say maximum of ...
