Caribbean Cruise on the Jewel

This trip consisted of two six night cruises back to back. The fist one did Costa Maya, Cozumel and Bimini. The second was the same except Nassau was substituted for Bimini. We had not been to Bimini so this was a treat as we have been to most ports of call in the Caribbean many times. It would be good to go there again and take a taxi into the town rather than going around to the various ...

I booked this trip whilst onboard Jewel OS in November. My hubby was working so this was a solo trip. Lovely cabin 7022 with oversized balcony - decent location. I love this ship and her sisters, perfect size and not popular with kids! The ship was spotless and in excellent shape (obviously six weeks offline were put to good use). I had a good time but there were a few differences than last ...

I read a lot of reviews for the Jewel of the Seas before sailing, and on this 8-night Eastern Carribean cruise, the ship mostly met my expectations, with two exceptions. Let's go through the good, the bad, and then the unexpected. Me: 8-night Eastern Carribean cruise; third-time cruiser in my late-20s, on a family vacation. THE GOOD First, the good. As multiple reviews mention, the ...

Let me begin by stating that I travel solo and have done so since 2013. This was to have been my first post pandemic cruise, but was too excited to wait and sailed the end of September on Allure. I had the at home covid test from the previous cruise and called e-med to ensure that it would still be valid. Luckily it was. This cruise was going to be a bit different due to mobility issues. I ...

Wanted a short cruise to breakup winter in South Florida. Older ship , balcony room ok, but dated. Comfortable bed with good steward Iputu. Noisy neighbors. Staff was very friendly. Buffet was good, better than dining room. Food over all was good. We had 3 specialty restaurants that we enjoyed. Steak, Italian and Japanese. Very good wait staff in all venues. Weather did not permit watching ...

Meeting with a group on this ship. Very ornate public spaces but not a very convenient layout. Elevators have some kind of foreign logic. We were passed by many times in the Atrium area by empty elevator cars going the way we wanted. After a few of these episodes I switched to stairs. The climb from my cabin on deck 4 to the gym made a good warm up for work outs. The people who served in the ...

PROS: -Our kids (4 and 6) loved the kids clubs as well as the kids pool area/waterslide -The staff throughout the ship were, as has come to be expected on RC, friendly and helpful -Overall the ship was very clean -Windjammer was good and on point with other Windjammers -The (basic) Wifi was not overly fast, but I found the coverage throughout the ship to be good -Labadee Wavejet ...

Although I am not a fan of the short cruises we had a chance to go on the Jewel of the Seas for a Friday to Monday 3 night cruise. Not a regularly scheduled cruise it was a one time chance to see this ship. Since we live in Ft. Lauderdale it is an easy trip to the Port of Miami. We booked this cruise 2 weeks before sailing. We have been on several cruises with RCCL before but never sailed the ...
