I received a really good offer from a travel place and had never sailed Norwegian so thought I would try it. The food and the service were both awful. We tried several restaurants and each time the food was luke warm at best. We actually had to go to the buffet after leaving one restaurant because my husband never got his meal. Our room steward never cleaned our room until late in the afternoon even when we were gone all day. He never vacuumed and rarely replaced the coffee or tea bags. They broke my husbands suitcase and after being told I could use my onboard credit for gratuities. I was charged the full amount and told I couldn’t. I lost $100.00 in onboard credits because of misinformation. Do not recommend this cruise line. It took us hours to go through embarkation. While this cruise took place during the beginning of the Coronavirus, the ship sanitization process was very unpredictable. We couldn’t play mini golf, but the casino was wide open and machines/chips were not sanitized. Overall the worst cruise experience I have ever had. Read Less

As a scuba diver the wife and I found this cruise superb. Nice evening stop at San Juan with a morning dive at St Thomas then Nassau with a final surprise dive site Ocean Cay marine sanctuary a virgin dive location. If not for the excellent price for a balcony I would gripe more about the food quality. For some reason I ate pizza most of the time GOOD pizza. First stop Puerto Rico was a bust due to bad weather, a front followed the ship to PR a bumpy ride. St Thomas brought better weather with a good 2 tank dive. Next Nassau for a 2 tank afternoon with Stuart Cove. I consider Nassau as 1 of the top 10 dive sites in the world. Biggest surprise was MSC Ocean Cay marine sanctuary seldom scuba dive site. Better than good floor shows NO live orchestra though? Single bingo game for single big bucks wife loves it Read Less

Overall, I loved the MSC Divina and I would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to take a cruise on it. However, it has its pros and cons in each category. Cabin: This category has no cons, my cabin was incredible. I had a balcony room and it was a great size for a cruise ship, even bigger than some hotel rooms I have stayed in. The bathroom was also great and the shower had a great design where you could push the doors in if you want more room when you are not showering. Overall, the cabin was one of the best things about my cruise. Dining: The food on the ship blew away my expectations. I keep hearing so many bad reviews on this topic meanwhile it was incredible. The buffet was insane, the other restaurants look excellent, and even the Black Crab, the main dining hall, had some amazing dishes. Now, there were some dishes I ordered that were weird and that I didn’t like. However, the dishes that were good totally overridden the bad ones. The New York Serlion Steak was one of these amazing dishes that I would highly recommend. In addition to the restaurants, there were also many other food spots in the ship. I loved the one in the Plaza del Doge. There was a bakery there that gave complimentary desserts. The pistachio cream cake there was the single best item I had on the cruise and cake that I had in a long time. As a result, the food itself was a huge factor in my good experience on this cruise. Embarkation: Ok, this was horrible. We were standing in a 3 hour line to get into the boat and they didn’t even offer the guests anything to compensate for this. The people that have ridden MSC said that this has never happened before so I don’t know what happened. In addition, the muster drill was crazy since there was direction and nobody could hear the announcements. Lastly, there was a ferry accident in the Miami port, which delayed our ship until 3am to depart. This was not their fault but they did not do a good job communicating the matter to us. They really need to improve on this. Activities and Entertainment: The cruise line did a great job in both categories, as they had so many activities and entertainment all over the ship at all times. I would highly recommend this cruise because of this. Recreation: This cruise shop has great facilities, including amazing pools, hot tubs, workout machines, and even a sports arena. I loved these facilities and I hope that other ships have facilities as good as this ship did. The one thing I would improve on is the water slide because I got stuck in it due to it being too flat. Public rooms: This ship had many great bars and beautiful public areas with many different varieties of entertainment in each of them. I especially loved the black and white lounge and the atrium. Service: Like the food, there are many bad reviews on the service. However, the staff treated us very well. They were very helpful and attentive. Overall, they made my cruise experience much better. Private Island: This place was beautiful. The beaches were incredible and the food on the island was great. In addition, they had amazing activities and excursions on the island, including jet ski tours, parties, and even a lighthouse light show. It was probably one of the best things about the cruise. Value for money: If the cruise was this good for the low price I got for it, it was obviously worth it big time. As a result, I recommend this cruise for anybody who thinks of taking it. Remember to not reflect what the cruise could be like based on only bad reviews and take all of the reviews into consideration. Read Less

Whoever designed these ships most have been on some drugs. When you hold all your games and talks in the Atrium, which has future cruises, guest services and and tours, you are asking for trouble. You have to yell at the person you are talking to. For a show in the Atrium, they put out folding chairs, pay all that money to sit in a folding chair. They have a very nice theater which is underused. Why not show a movie on a sea day. Food is now right bad. No taste, weird things and slow service, even if they remember who got what. We had 8 of us and they either forgot things or gave them to the wrong people. The paid restaurants were not much better, Japanese was good and Ocean Blue, might have been the best restaurant I have ever been in while on a cruise. Service Fantastic, food better then any other place on the ship. Footloose was great, the other shows not very good. Worst comedians that I have ever seen with the female comedian disgusting. Nice things, the cabin, although it was dirty when we arrived, the bathroom great. The crew very nice. When it takes an hour to board and close to two hours to get off there is something wrong. Our tour of LA was cut short. The tour was suppose to leave at 9 and we left at 11:15. Come on if you had a tour let us off first. Last time for this line. Just the little things that they make you pay for. Try another cruise line, if you want service and better food. Read Less

I chose this ship to be my first ever cruise, and I certainly was not disappointed. I was on this cruise with 3 other friends whom 2 of them been on carnival at least a few times prior, and the other was also their first. It was a 7 cruise. The food in the buffet was absolutely fantastic, they definitely had variety as time went on in the week, and remained extremely consistent in the taste. The quality and atmosphere of the ship was breathtaking and was exactly the style I wanted /loved. The crew was extremely respectful in my opinion, and very hardworking. I didn't once see trash or something gross anywhere I was on the ship, because the workers were so on point, I was blown away. I thanked them often and tipped extra because of how hard they worked. My only complaint is that they keep the pools and spas open later for us adults, past 8pm for outside and 10pm for inside. 8 and 10 is just too early to close! Also, not sure if it was our cabin cleaner, but they came in a couple times with our DND on while we were away to clean. However, those are not negative enough to bring the review below 4 atars. I would definitely cruise on this ship / line again. Thank-you MSC for showing me the time of my life. I was borderline depressed when the cruise was over as I was walking off the ship, God bless you all. Read Less

I just returned from a cruise on the Carnival Horizon and had an amazing time! It absolutely exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to book another! Embarkation can be hectic as you are carrying your luggage and the attendants want you to keep moving since, of course, there are so many people to board. Once you get on and get settled, its amazing! Public Areas: There are so many places to lounge, indoor or outdoor enjoying a drink or soaking in the sun. There are staff around constantly cleaning and making tables or chairs available for you. Entertainment: There is so much freakin stuff to do on this ship!! Of course the waterslides, sky ride, ropes course, clubhouse, basketball, mini golf, spa, but also the shows and music around the ship was 10/10. The acoustic guy in the Artrium was great, the band that played in the ocean plaza- GREAT, Country band in the Pig Anchor - AWESOME, and the violinist in the Atrium OFF THE HOOK! They hired extremely talented people that I didn't think would be on a cruise ship. The comedian Chris Wiles was OK to me, probably hilarious to others, but not really my type of funny. There is always something to do. Moreover there are seminars for every interest all day long. On the 6 day long cruise, we didn't even get to do everything available on board! And dancing everywhere! So much fun. Dining: The lido buffet is just abut always open with pretty good food. The main dining room is also free and the sea brunch was good too!! Delicious fresh squeezed juice and the chia pudding was my favorite. The lox also tasted good. But, really, the Pig n Anchor BBQ spot was soo good. I can't say enough. Its a great size portion and only $8 for a meal. We also ate at Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse, another delicious dinner and superb service. It is on par with Alexanders steakhouse, and better than Flemings or Mortons. You are treated like royalty. There is so much food on this ship, of every kind. Any kind of food you can think of - its offered. Room: The Havana Premium Balcony room is huge, and balcony even better and spacious. It comes with lounge chairs and gorgeous views. The stateroom steward, Muh, was the most friendly person I have ever met! You immediately feel like best friends with him. He remembered our names the first time. He also knew my BF's birthday and sang a little song; and I did not tell Muh that it was my BF's bday! He just knew and remembered. He took care of us and provided everything we needed for our room. I also loved the towel animals that were in our stateroom every day. Excursions: Unfortunately 2 of our excursions were cancelled (glass boat tour in Grand Cayman and Blue Hole in Jamaica) due to weather/ rain and uncontrollable reasons. I believe we will be getting our money back for those. However we still had an enjoyable time, or came back to the ship early to do more FUN STUFF. Cruises seems like an affordable way to vacation and see new places. I can't wait to do another. Overall Carnival exceeded my expectations and I really felt did a 10 out of 10 in every aspect. I would absolutely choose Carnival AGAIN! Read Less

My BF and I were short on time but desperate to get away so the 5-day Western Caribbean itinerary to Belize and Mexico was perfect for us. We booked just prior to Christmas and got a great price. Food: We generally ate in the buffet in the morning because we wanted to control our portions and wanted lots of choice. The aft outdoor location (Great Outdoors) was perfect and since we were up and at it early, it generally wasn't busy. This opened at 7:30 but sometimes we would grab specific items on the inside location and just take our plates outside. Overall the food would get a 3.5 - 4 out of five. We are super fussy, however I always found something to enjoy and generally was very pleased. My only complaint is watching people feel the need to carry two stacked plates at a time. We ate in Le Bistro at additional charge and it was well worth it. It ran about $100 CDN for two, gratuities included for three good courses. Cagney's was fully booked so we didn't get a chance to experience it. Indigo was very good and the atmosphere was much nicer for us than the main dining room (Summer Palace). If you do the buffet for lunch, don't miss the Indian/Indonesian food station. Some of the better butter chicken I've had, made very well and super fresh. Entertainment: For me, I would give the entertainment 5/5. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the performers and shows. Big kudos to Orly Penate and Alex Ortiz as well as the NCL person responsible for booking them. Absolutely fabulous! The final evening we took in the Legends in Concert show in the Stardust Theater. Great acoustics and lovely set up, comfortable seats. This show also wowed me in the quality. Don't miss it! Staff: Overall, the staff was very good. I think when some people think they are poor quality, they don't understand that for some, there is a bit of a language barrier and their job is incredibly hard. Eight months on, two months off is a tough gig. I wonder if NCL should consider different options or opportunities if they can find a cost-effective way to manage. Activities: If you can't find something to do that interests you on this ship... it's you, not them. I was disappointed in some of the guests and their need to do nothing but sloth by the pool, drinking too much. However, we found a great location every day and very much enjoyed the sun. We also signed up (at extra cost) to have full access to all of the classes at the fitness centre. Big shout out to Jared and Suynesh (sp?) for their attention, professionalism and knowledge. We very much enjoyed our interactions with both and it was worth the extra cost. Shore Excursions: For me, this is the chink in the armor on this trip. I found both ports to be pretty much a waste of time because I like to experience the authentic side of a country. They are overly commercial and a bit of a money grab. We did enjoy both beaches however and in Costa Maya we took a taxi to Mahahual where we found a great stand for empanadas and sopas. We ended up going back to the ship early and very much enjoyed how quiet it was on board lol. Overall a very nice experience with great people. Read Less

This was a cruise that my wife and I took. We had been on the Oasis of the Sea in 2019. The infinity was nice but quite a bit smaller than we were use to. There was limited things to do on the ship compared to the Oasis and the open areas where small. The food was ok and selection was small. The staff were very professional but not super friendly. I think we were spoiled last year. On the Oasis our cabin staff, our dining staff and our pool staff where all our friends by the time we finished our week. On infinity they kind of left you alone. Some people might like that. We had the consigner room but not sure what that really meant. Never met anyone who explain what the difference was? Probably try something new next time. Caribbean cruise to San Juan, St. Thomas and Tortola with NCL. Overall okay but not worth the money. The pool was either closed or half full of water. When open, the water was ice cold. The big water slide was closed on the entire cruise. Paying an extra $1000 for family access to the Mandarin Spa, you would NOT expect it to be overfilled with people and the toilets not working. Paying through the roof for unlimited streaming WiFi, you would expect it to be streaming and not below 1Mbps 99% of the time. Paying full price for the virtual reality section and then discover that hardly half of the things we're working and the staff just giving excuses. Have cruised on Escape and Bliss, we found that the selections in the Garden Cafe were minimal. Some staff extremely friendly and helpful but this time we discovered more staff than earlier who was not very friendly. The outside bar on deck 8 had one waiter and a long line, then suddenly he walked away, and nobody came back for more than 30 minutes. Not a big deal as there are plenty of other bars, but it's just not what you expect. The ship was rolling all the time as we have never experienced before, but maybe their stabilizers were not working (as many other things) on this trip. We have this sneeking feeling that Norwegian is trying to save in a lot in different areas. We love the free style cruising and the fact we can eat when we like. On this cruise we were not alowed in one day to the Garden cafe for a late lunch. They explained the Garden cafe was closed but would open later for dinner. We never had that experience on Escape or Bliss. The wait time at the go cart track came to about 45 minutes despite reservation. The safety breefing was done by a staff member sitting in a cart with all drivers outside the fence and we could hear nothing. The carts despite being electric was fast enough and it was fun to try. However we think that there is too much go cart track on the ship and too little open space for guests in the pool area that most of the time was over crowded. On the last day we tried to get information about disembarkation procedures and times but could find nothing in the cabin or on the TV. We called Guest Services multiple times, but they never answered the phone. But no worries, we did get off although it was a heck of a walk through the ship and terminals and took more than an hour. We spent like $8,000 plus for three people and did not feel it was worth the money. NCL emailed a survey today, and after answering for 20 minutes and being 65% finished, they asked if I would give a review on Cruise Critic and when I answered yes, the survey was terminated abruptly, and I was sent to the NCL homepage. No "thank you screen" for spending time giving them honest feedback. Overall it's hard to see why we would choose Norwegian again. Read Less

I like the telephone number for our cabin steward. A nice touch. We went on the Escape Room challenge & had a blast with a family who were all very smart. Enjoyed Cafe Promenade & Sorrentos. It was nice to get a drink & snack any time we wanted it. My next cruise is on Symphony with one of my female friends. And after that I will be on Empress. On Armonia 6 weeks ago & decided to go again as a treat. BIG mistake! Embarkation found us in a hot hall with disposable rubber gloves and plastic garbage bags trying to remove our clothes from my husbands bag which was covered with grease... crew was un responsive & said we did it...SERIOUSLY???? Disembarkation was hours standing in a hot lounge with people cutting in line & blaring "music" . In between we were given paper bags for our clothes (we bought luggage in Honduras) crew was unhelpful & did not listen to what you said. We requested to speak to the "hotel manager" several times after spending hours waiting in line at guest services but were never afforded the opportunity to speak to him. There was food & grease on "clean" silverware and cups in buffet, we were served iced tea tainted with some type of chemical that burned the back of our throats in the dining room, I was hit by a crew member who was bussing tables because she wasn't paying attention, crew at carving station was more interested txting on phone than doing her job ( did not clean hands before touching food). There was rusty water running onto the floor at the drink station near burger station. Crew members fill drink pitchers at drink station & they touch the pitchers to dispensing tubes ( not very sanitary) they wring out dirty cleaning rags into the drink station overflow. The chairs in the buffet had food spilled on them constantly if you could even find someplace to sit. Food quality and selection was poor. There was nothing exceptional and quite a bit that was just bad. Communication of activities and show reservation procedures was lacking. Did not receive our onboard credit we were supposed to receive. We have been cruising for over 20 years & know what to expect. VERY poor experience, from the disrepair of the ship to the attitude of the crew to the cleanliness to the quality of the food. It was just all bad...Was never so happy to return home from anything in my life. The best part of the cruise was getting off the ship in the ports & they even managed to make that uncomfortable. I must say the gust services gave us a $40 on board credit ( the Nike sports bag they ruined was worth MUCH more) to replace the bag...only thing is the only bag they had was $49 and huge... so that is why we had to hunt around Honduras for something that would suffice. The one thing that was in abundance was the delusional and insincere double talk from the crew. If this is the "best crew on all the seven seas" as the captain was constantly stating on the public address system, then the seven seas are in a world of trouble. We will NEVER sail on Armonia again & it will probably be some time before we are bold enough to go on another cruise regardless of the cruise line after this experience. From conversations with other passengers our experience was the norm not the exception and some people were treated worse. Read Less

I like new ships - had to try. Glad I got to try before this virus shutdown. Gorgeous ship with lots to do. We took a 7 day western Caribbean and never were bored. Loved the junior suite - big enough for our 16 year old to come with us. It had a walk in closet that was perfect for changing. Had our cabin on deck 6 - most convenient to the bar. We loved the entertainment. We are not theater people, but we enjoyed Hairspray and first in flight. We caught the comedian and he was hilarious. We also saw 1977-the skating show - excellent. Also, the piano guy was a neat surprise - we ran into to him at the elevators. We also had the restaurant package but if you want a yummy, included lunch - Central Park has a sandwich shop that has the BEST roast beef sandwhiches.- Even my teen loved Wonderland. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful.(the food needs to be explained) We were not aware of the $14 p/p upcharge on the Japanese steakhouse, but it was well worth it. If you get a restaurant package - make the reservations right after you embark as soon as you can - they fill up fast. Oh, and the seafood restaurant was very good. I still taste the homemade cornbread/hushpuppies. We previously sailed Allure and didn't think it could be outdone - but I was wrong! I hope these ships can sail again without too many changes. Kindness and courtesy since we entered through the doors. Especial mention to the waiters at Marco Polo Restaurant, Kosih and Renelyn, excellent service. In the service area of the room, Mr. Marion Garcia, far exceeded our expectations. The entertainment Kevin and Moises and their group are wonderful, original, dynamic. The shows at the Fenice Theater, compare with Circo de Soleil, or Brodway, incredible talents. The BR Beats band, wonderful, excellent musicians, and great singing. The cruise director Miguel and the captain (I don't remember the name) are high-class professionals. The crew - all of them - were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The head chef was great; he showed care, consideration and understanding for my vegan companion's dietary needs, and was genuinely interested in our dining experience. He even explained how she could use the signage color coding to determine vegan vs non-vegan food offerings. Speaking of which - the Breakaway has the best dining experience I've had in over 10 years and 15+ cruises. The variety, taste, quality and presentation was fantastic no matter if we ate in the buffet or any of the specialty restaurants. We had a 2-person occupancy balcony room that was more than adequate for our needs. The bed, however, was very firm - fine for me but too hard for my Significant Other. Our cabin steward also made our cruising experience excellent. I cannot say enough about how wonderful her service was. There was plenty of entertainment options on-board the ship, along with activities for adults, young adults and children. [The kids and teens will love deck 16 aft - water slides, obstacle course, I ran into several of the "unseen staff" - the engineers, maintenance personnel, etc. - thanks to my insomnia. They were all professional, friendly and helpful. They even gave me great tips on shore locations, ship events, etc. The art auction staff was very helpful and pleasant. They were incredibly helpful with information on appraisals for my existing art purchases. [My only "complaint" - can you please stop pushing the Peter Max artwork? Please???? ;-)] The ship appeared to be well maintained, clean and organized, with just the right level of lighting throughout. There were plenty of shore excursions and port shopping. [Unfortunately, I cannot comment with any authority on the shore excursions as I didn't take any this trip - I was taking a "complete rest" vacation cruise for a change.] There were a couple minor complaints: 1. This is the first ship I've been on where there were no locker rooms/showers available for users of the gym. I was not the only passenger that commented on the lack of shower facilities at the gym. 2. The H2O adult-only deck needs shade - desperately! This deck area is awash in sun - too much sun. [This was area that other passengers commented upon; makes this deck area undesirable.] 3. Jimmy Buffet's seemed like a neglected afterthought by the ship's designers when they discovered they had unused deck space. The lack of activities or events there was palpable. And, IMHO, a waste of a great name, trademark brand and NCL investment. No Happy Hour. No "Kid's Only" non-alcoholic events (a pity since Buffet's is located adjacent to the kids recreation area). No special events/tastings/demonstrations/celebrations. Why is it this venue even there if NCL isn't going to take advantage of the Jimmy Buffet "island/laid back/soft partying" experience that is the Jimmy Buffet experience? 4. Bring your own coffee/cold drink container: I forgot to bring my cold drink bottle, so I broke down and bought one from the ship's stores. Someone at NCL needs to find new suppliers for this merchandise. I bought one cold drink cup and its lid broke within 3 hours. A second was defective. The third - exchanged the evening before disembarkation - broke its lid right after leaving the port building. I wouldn't comment if I did something stupid like dropping them, because they would be my fault and problem, not NCL's. But, they all broke on their own accord after little or no use. 5. Disembarkation: This seemed to take much longer than the entire check-in and embarkation process. I noticed that disembarkation was often held up by long pauses as certain people passed through NCL security; NCL Security personnel often had to take 1-2 minutes typing something into the computerized profiles of the just-exited passenger before resuming disembarkation. US Border and Customs Enforcement was not the source of any delays. 6. The safety drill prior to launch: Seemed a bit disorganized compared to the other ships I've cruised, including prior NCL cruises. In summary, these "complaints" are minor; no situation or facility is perfect. The overall experience was excellent. Read Less

My wife and I are avid cruisers. We're usually among the younger couples on a cruise, but we've literally cruise around the world on many cruise lines and many many ships. But, I had never cruised on NCL. After hearing some good NCL reviews from my inlaws, we all planned a family trip together and off we went... Let me start by saying our first day started with car troubles. It happens. But on our ride down to Miami we read our cruise documents and were a bit concerned with the 2pm deadline to be on the ship. The ship wasn't scheduled to leave until 4:30pm and having been on many cruises, we know some people take their sweet time getting on last minute. Still, we called NCL to be cautious (car issues we had made it a tight window to get there by 2). The NCL rep on the phone said 2:30pm was the cut off. Our in laws, who had boarded, asked and were told 3:30pm. It would be nice for NCL just to be honest and clear with this information. Despite best efforts, emergencies do occur and people need to know the honest time. If they cant make it, let them know and they can turn around before driving all the way there just to be turned around. The embarkation process was smooth as people mentioned. But no, there's no excitement, dancing or extreme friendliness. In fact, the security at the metal detector consists mainly of a group of gril gossiping about their lives and not really caring about the guests. I actually tried to make friendly comments and was ignored because they were too busy with non work related drama talk. But got on board quickly and our room was ready. It's true there was no guidance or assistance, just hop on and go find your room. Room: The room was a balcony and nice size. Plenty of shelf space. My wife LOVED the dryer in the room next to the TV as it actually warmed up and worked. Many cruises we've been on, she's left with wet hair as you cant bring one on board and well...cruise ships are notorious for weak hairdryers in the bathroom. Bathroom was larger than we're used to with plenty of storage. Shower was larger than normal and I liked the glass enclosure so you dont have to worry about water getting outside of the shower curtain because all is enclosed. Balcony was nice sized although I did have to make 3 requests which took 4 or 5 days to have the balcony sliding glass door tracks greased (it made loud squealing noises while being opened/closed which would wake the dead). Steward: a bit weird that he never came and enthusiastically introduced himself. I actually never met him but went looking for him about day 4 about the balcony door and I spoke into an opened room and he was in there cleaning. My wife said he DID check that we got all of our luggage on the first day but I guess we're just used to a formal "Hi my name is ... I'll be taking care of your room." We never had a talk, etc. But our room care was fine. Food: I researched a lot and we chose this for food quality. We were not disappointed. I never ate at the buffet (I'm over cruise buffets). Each night we went to either Taste, Savor, or Manhattan. Food was good and servers were friendly, good, and generally fast. We LOVED Manhattan. All 3 are free but Manhattan clearly shines with decor and dance floor with live music. I had some memorable deserts there. But memories of dancing with my wife were best. Taste and Savor have the exact same menus as Manhattan. Savor and Taste are the same, but across from each other. But are good. O'Sheehans: food was good. SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I'd try to each lunch here as the menu is tasty, it's not a buffet, and it's free. First day...fine. Second day: I waited an hour and a half and never got my food. People in all tables around me would get up and complain to matrade in white uniform about not getting food, no service, not getting meals although others at table were done already, etc. But there was no look of concern on the guy's face. I sat there and attempted to not add to the drama. He never checked on me once or asked how I was. Eventually I left hungry. I order a chicken sandwich which is all I ordered. Apparently an hour and a half for a chicken sandwich isnt long enough. I went to the hostess stand and asked to talk to him. She called him and asked me to wait. After waiting 30 minutes for a seat and an hour and a half for food that never came, I waited 5 minutes and he never showed. I asked that he called my room. I walked away and a server chased me and said my food was almost ready. I refused to return after 2 hours of being ignored. Btw: I'm 6'4"...I stand out. I didn't think I'd get a call so I called guests services. He returned my call and offered to treat my wife and I to dinner at La Cucina the following night, which sounded good. But the main thing is I wanted service at O'sheehans to improve and be acknowledged. I returned the next day and he was working hard to correct the issue. Seems it took this to get things turned around. Unfortunately, the service at La Cucina the following night was horrible. We never saw our server after our order. People around us left without ordering desert although they were still hungry. Our food was "ok" but not great. My wife thought the salmon was salty. My meal was cold. We weren't offered desert under the "apologized arrangement " so we left and went downstairs to another restaurant. While there we ran into the original matrade who was wondering why we had not had desert at La Cucina. We informed him that we weren't offered it. He insisted on bringing my wife tiramisu from the restaurant and she enjoyed it. Apparently there was another misunderstanding and we should have been offered desert. Anyways, his efforts were appreciated. But bare in mind that that meal would have costs us $120 had we paid (it's an ala carte restaurant) and all meals in free Taste, Savor and Manhattan were better. O'Sheehans is definitely a sore spot regarding service on this ship. Excursions: didn't do any. We've been to these ports many times and opted for walks or beach days. Pool area: full of all sorts of people who never get out of the pool yet drink all day. HMMM...pool was always packed never got near it. SHOWS: Saw Burn the Floor and Rock the Ages. Loved both. Also see Burn the Floor at Manhattan dinner one night. They're very talented. BANDS: Jamaican band in atrium and in Manhattan played hits from many groups like The Righteous Brothers and are great. Activities: didnt do many. The "escape room" isn't really an escape room. Its disorganized and doesn't make sense. We did mini gulf upstairs and it was fun. People did rope course and rock wall and seemed to enjoy. There's 4 water slides. Didn't do casino or bingo but theatre seemed full of bingo players. If you eat at the Noodle Restaurant prepare to SMELL LIKE SMOKE due to casino smokers sharing the space. DISEMBARKING: Great and quick. Inlaws got stuck for nearly 2 hours though. Guess its luck of the draw. Fitness Center: big for a cruise. Tons of cardio equipment. Dumbbells but no barbells. 2 Smith machines. A stretching room and a spin cycle room. I liked how they didnt try to jam spa packages down your throat like most cruises. Comedies: weren't very funny. Photographs: photographers seemed inexperienced and unsure of angles, people arrangement or what to do with rude guests who walk in front of their shots. But I do like how they don't annoy you with photo attempts the entire cruise. Also, the photo area is VERY organized with photos in individual cases, not laid out everywhere. Stores: same ole same ship stores with cheap invicta watches thatv you've seen on ALL CRUISES. Gave cruise 4 out of 5. Would have been 5 if not for O'Sheehans service and watching many people experience what I did many times and on many different days. It's an issue. Read Less

We had such a relaxing, wonderful cruise. Everyone was so great from check in to departure. The food, and staff in Blu, and at specialty dining(Murano and Tuscan Grille) were amazing. We loved our bartenders! Thank you Jede Astawa, Jose and Pedro. Hope to see you next time! We loved the gym, Persian gardens and sauna. The solarium is beautiful as well. We spent quite a few days at the pool. The sunset bar was great too. The staff at celebrity did everything to make the cruise so special. We celebrated our 34th anniversary. There was champagne waiting in our room. Every afternoon there was a delicious surprise waiting for us from cheeses and fruit to shrimp or different meats. The guest entertainers were wonderful. Ashlie Amber was sensational. The comics were very funny. We love to dance and there were so many opportunities to do just that.(especially “silent disco”) the pool party was fun and the dancers from the show did a little something to entertain. The band was wonderful! Read Less

This was our second voyage on the seaside within the last year. MSC Cruise lines was kind enough to give us discount credits since we were on the divina during hurricane Irma. I didn't care where the ship was going, I live in South Florida and Hawaii so I get my full share of palm trees! The seaside is an absolutely beautiful ship and very very well kept. The staff has come to understanding how to work on that ship and things flow very nicely. The drink packages and Internet packages that are offered by the cruise line are hard to beat. Even the easy drink package which doesn't give you top shelf liquor will do the job and get you all the soda, quality coffees, and sparkling water that you want. The best part of the cruise for my wife and I were at the dance classes and activities. Every morning on sea days there was an aerobics class and several dance classes available all the way into the evening hours. Also a highlight are the production shows. They are not your typical production show song and dance popular songs. They are elaborately costumed events involving singing dancing music and circus. I would say it is similar to a Cirque du Soleil with a different theme every night. And there is the Opera, it is shown in the afternoon during a sea day so if you're one of those that wants to oil yourself up and be shoulder-to-shoulder with a thousand other people on the pool deck you are more than welcome. However if you want something totally different that is extremely emotional and beautiful, go to see the Opera. The only thing that was disappointing throughout the entire cruise was the dining experience. The marketplace buffet is absolutely boring. It reminded me of my days in the Navy seeing hamburgers hot dogs and Pizza with overcooked meats every day over and over. There was always a mystery white fish available and some sort of sauce but it was always hard as a rock and tasting just like one also. The experience in the restaurants was a bit better. The foods were served up timely and presentation was very nice, however there was nothing ever really exciting about it. There was never that food item that said "I want to try that"! All in all it was adequate and it was put together pretty well, but it was not really a memorable experience. Overall for the price point it is very difficult to beat the MSC experience. I would only hope that they would liven up the food venues a little bit more so that it isn't so boring. Read Less

We arrived at noon to embark and due to the volume of people, we had to make a line for emigration and it took us about an hour and a half to embark. Our first dining experience took place at the Venetian restaurant. We had a good experience due the service and food quality. After our lunch, we received an induction on the safety instructions which are mandatory by an international regulation. On the second day we went through a bad experience because we found bed bugs on both of our beds which we reported to customer service. Mr. Cardenas made immediate arrangements for the appropriate personnel to revise our room and we were moved to another room. Our luggage was taken by the staff as a percussion for laundry and steam cleaning for which we remained without our belongings until the following day. I suffered stomach flu with nausea and diarrhea during that night. I visited the medical center which prevented me from going to the excursion. The doctor ordered confinement with a special diet during 24 hours and I spent all Friday in my room. I wanted to watch TV all day and I discovered that there is a very limited channel selection which includes only one movie channel. I discovered that on the main menu of the TV there was an option for pay per view channels ($10.00) which in an air plane would easily be included on the fare. The lack of movie selection and the fact that I had to pay per view was frustrating and inconvenient. When my mother and her friend were able to go to the excursion that day and their experience was not the best because there was lack of guidance and they did not know where they had to take the bus to the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins. There was a lot of people and thy were going to different places so due to the lack of guidance it seem very confusing. We received the Freestyle Daily informational bulletin and we observed that some events are indicated as free but once you arrive, it is indicated that there is a cost to participate on them. We had the opportunity to visit the Garden Cafe, Venetian, Aqua and Bamboo which had variety and good service. The swimming pool was very small like a jacuzzi and there were so many people there that it was impossible to approach. The room service staff was friendly and professional as well as the waiters and buffet personnel and the customer service desk this made us feel well.We disembarked very early in the morning after breakfast and it was very organized. . After looking into many questions before I leave for the cruise, I feel compelled to share my first cruise with our friends. After much deliberation we decided that some of the 50th birthday celebrations would be Cruise (for the first time). The date of the cruise was determined following family constraints for the Passover holiday of 2019 in April. Since this is the first time we make a cruise and after a thorough examination it was decided to go on one of the best - a large ship of Royal Caribbean. As stated, there were time constraints and therefore the cruise was chosen with the Allure Of The Seas, https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-sh…/allure-of-the-seas, Western Caribbean track, 7 nights with 4 anchors in NASSAU- BAHAMAS, COZUMEL-MEXICO, ROATAN-HONDURAS, PUERTO COSTA MAYA-MEXICO and 2 DAYS ONLY, Departure from Miami. Now it was left to choose which agency would invite the cruise. There are many opinions whether to order through an Israeli agency or through a foreign agency. After a thorough and thorough examination, I found out that the company Crozit, https://www.cruiseit.co.il/, with the agent Orit Cohen Rochov gave the best offer. As I mentioned, it was decided to order with a minimum risk and therefore the room with balcony to the ocean, on the 11th floor in the center of the ship (room number 11590 D2). The room is spacious enough, a double bed and a sofa bed, a shower with excellent water flow and a balcony facing the sea, television, storage closet, 110 and 220 volts power sockets. It is difficult to describe in words the experience of sitting on the balcony while sailing and sleeping with an open window and hearing the waves coming back - an experience! The ship is huge, really a floating hotel. Many different types of rooms, countless dining rooms, restaurants, cafes, 2 promenades with vegetation, casino, swimming pools, Jacuzzi, climbing wall, Omega, surfing and more. 2 notable restaurants for light meals: 1. Park Caffe - Salads, sandwiches, cakes and flag sandwich with roast beef 2. The pizza restaurant The ship has a wide range of performances, including Mamma Mia, acrobatic show with oceanAria, Ice Ice show, Blue Planet, Headliner Showtime and more. About 60-90 days before the cruise, the possibility of planning the cruise is open on the Royal Caribbean site, ordering an hour for dinner (17.30, 20.00 or "on my own time"), ordering the various shows on the ship and booking excursions at the ports. For convenience and schedule of performances we chose the time 20.00, we got a regular table in the dining room on the 5th floor and regular waiters. In accordance with our needs, we purchased in advance and at a discounted price Classic Soda Package, which includes soft drinks and cola and an internet package VOOM Surf + STREAM Voyage Package - 1 Device Additional alcoholic beverages, coffee, shakes and more can be purchased. It is also possible to purchase a 10-cup card or a 10-alcoholic card. Each room has the option of bringing 12 bottles of 17 oz and 2 bottles of wine to the ship. In the boat, at various meals, you will be served free glasses of water and juices. The ship anchored at the port of Miami in Terminal 1 of Royal Caribbean, we reached the port of the car rental agency in the city and left the port to the airport on a trip with uber. The check-in and check-out of the ship is carried out with remarkable efficiency with no queue and speed. The attractions we did at our ports were: NASSAU-BAHAMAS - taxi ride ($ 10 toward) Cabbage Beach on the island island Paradise Island, a beach with soft white sand and good water for bathing. You can rent 2 sunbeds + umbrella for $ 20, and there are street vendors selling drinks. You can walk to the beach of the luxurious Atlantis Bahamas and even enter the hotel grounds and be impressed by it. COZUMEL-MEXICO - A fun day of sailing to spectacular blue lagoons and dive snorkeling, booked through http://cozumelcruiseexcursions.net/cozumel-snorkel-tour-res…, at a cost of $ 50 per participant. ROATAN-HONDURAS - We booked a day trip to the island with a local operator named Francklin Gálvez, francklinalexisgalvezbonilla1@gmail.com, a nice guy who tries very hard to please the guests he accompanies. Franklin charges $ 20 per participant for a full day of pick-up and return from / to port and travel according to an agreed plan. ($ 10) Visit the Chocolate and Fun Factory at the stunning beach of West Bay Beach (one of the resorts, plus sun beds + umbrella $ 15) PUERTO COSTA MAYA-MEXICO - We ordered a $ 50 golf car from MAYAHUAL Local Golf Car, https://costa-maya-golf-cars.negocio.site/, marvin1907@yahoo.com.mx and drove to the beaches of the nearby village of MAYAHUAL Docking Port . In retrospect it is unnecessary and you can reach this coastal strip with a local taxi. The coast of the Costa Maya disappointed. Hope this summary will help others. I'll be happy to answer any question. Yaari Read Less

I ended up on this cruise to celebrate my sister's 70th birthday. Young at heart, we wanted a cruise that suited our personalities. So with 25 adventurers ranging in age from 13 and up, MSC Seaside seemed perfect. Embarkation - It's a zoo. Imagine 5,000+ people trying to check-in. Our saving grace was the Aurea package (an upgrade). Trying to figure out where our check-in area was located was challenging. Once in line, a very nice young woman provided assistance. We returned to check-in three (3) times because our card didn't work. A non-walker's nightmare. Dining - The buffet, as one of our friends, said, "By the time you make it around the buffet to find what you want and get to your seat, your food is cold." Day 1: Try to get a soda from the pay as you go machine, good luck. Ridiculous. Sell drink cards like other ships. Organization of buffet, where is the jam? It's on the Wellness Bar. Where is the bread? It's next to desserts or sodas (depends). The staff working in the buffet area just stood around - no assistance unless you flagged someone. The staff in white uniforms - no purpose. The soda machine process, go figure. Evening dining -The dining room staff are unorganized. Try finding a waiter to take cocktail orders. The dining room show, yes we clapped for the staff but our waiters were working. Friendliness - No introductions, good morning, smile. What gives? I am a frequent cruiser, Princess, Viking, Royal Caribbean. This experience pales by comparison. The music, theatre shows, Aurea spa, and ship decor saved the day. Read Less

To start, I would be consider myself a cruise junkie. I booked this cruise for the Cuban experience. Cuba was what I expected. Something of a visit back in time. Just a caveat, everyone seam to have a different opinion than me. Most travelers I spoke with seem to like Cuba. I didn't like nor dislike Cuba. Cuba was indeed different. I would consider myself someone who appreciate differences in cultures so the fact that it was different in many ways was enough for me to conjure up enough enjoyment to give it a passing grade. Cuba doesn't take the dollar nor do they accept credit cards. It has two types of currencies with two different values. As for the Armonia. I booked room 1106, This is a suite on the 10th deck. The first thing I noticed was if had an an obstructed view which was not advertised when I selected the room. The balcony does not have a functional handle to re open the sliding door once out on the the balcony. My wife had to leave the door partially open so she could get back into the room. I took two excursions. The dune buggy (Roatan, Honduras) tour which advertised "two" to a buggy. At the excursion we were told the excursion was oversold and 4 had to share 1 buggy. I conceded. The next day was a classic car tour "Cuba". The excursion advertise 3 to a car maximum. We were told at the start of the tour 4 had to share a car. The one absolute negative was the experience I had in the bar made so famous by Ernst Hemmingway. It was overcrowded and no regard to fire codes. I spent approximately 5 minutes in the bar and MSC tours kept bringing tourist in. It wasn't safe. I suppose MSC sanction these excursions and wonder if the're aware what their subjecting their passengers to. I didn't confront MSC staff about the issues. I simply relented. Again most the passengers seem to enjoy the overall experience. My enjoy came from the wonderful staff working so hard for my enjoyment. Read Less

I choose this ship for my family vacation because of the size as well as the variety of activities, entertainment and open air spaciousness of Central Park and the Boardwalk. Members of my family vary in age and interests and there was something on the Symphony for everyone. I first considered the Harmony until I discovered that the Solarium didn't have a pool. The Solarium is my favorite Sea day spot so this was an important feature for me. Dining: I read reviews about the food being average so we went to four speciality restaurants. Two for lunch and two for dinner. The service in the Main Dining room was amazing but the food was hit or miss. The food in the speciality restaurants was an all around amazing experience. Chops, Wonderland, 501 Central Ave and Hooked. We also had a Mediterranean buffet dinner in the Solarium which was also quite tasty. The only place that we would never eat at again was El Loco Fresh which was crowded, messy and did not have good food. Service: March Spring Break was a sold out sailing and a very full ship. The staff was on point and had everything under control. The waiters and bartenders kept orders moving quickly, the room attendant was pleasant and did a great job. Customer service was efficient and the ship was immaculate with the crew detailing the ship daily. World class shows and entertainment! This alone was worth the cost of the cruise. Casino: I wanted to try my luck at the slots or even play the lottery but I couldn't get near the casino because the cigarette smoke was so terrible. It also permeated the hallways, Dining room entrance and the entertainment areas on the fourth floor. Second hand smoke is a serious health hazard especially for people with asthma and those who work there. Royal Caribbean should do a better job on the air filtration or ventilation system. The Key: This is supposed to come with priority Embarkation & Debarkation, private time on activities, Internet, reserved seating at shows etc. The crew is still working out the kinks but things went smoothly in most cases so it was worth the added expense for this sailing. If I weren't on a crowded ship I would pass on the Key. Teen Center: My son only went on the first day, he had fun but preferred to hang with his older brother on the sports deck where there are tons of activities. Art: There is no shortage of spectacular artwork to discover around the ship. I sent my kids on a daily scavenger hunt and we still haven't found it all. On the last day we looked down the elevator shaft and noticed art in the elevator well below the third floor. Our family loves the Oasis class ships and Symphony of the Seas has all of the best features combined in one perfect ship. Read Less
