We wanted a short cruise for my mom and brother. They were first time cruisers. They loved it and the staff was excellent. The dining room experience was very good and all the food was well prepared. We left out of Miami and parking there at the port was $22 per day but we were inside a secured parking deck. The shows on the cruise were great. The performers were talented. We got off the ship in the Bahamas and Coco Cay. I enjoyed the Bahama experience best. Coco Cay was nice but the ocean had too much sea weed floating in it and I didn't like swimming in that. I would rather be in the pool on the ship. The photographers were very friendly and encouraged our group to make lots of pictures. I didn't do any excursions because we just did things on our own to save money. Read Less

family reunion- great for family gathering I would like to have special activity for senior citizens, providing the fact that they do not get to move around as quickly as others. Adult children with senior parents should be given priority boarding the ship and they should have some kind of assistance by staff to make certain that their love ones get to see as much as possible. The ship overall was clean. the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty and I enjoyed tasting International food. This was the first time my partner went on a cruse and they had lots of fun, Took a group photo but there were lots of people in the background photographer said that this could not be prevented. The price of the pictures were rather expensive, Did not care to make a purchase. Cruise Line should include at least one photo with cruise package. Read Less

This was the worst experience I have ever had. I have been on several cruises, but this was by far the worst. The food for was terrible- all 3 meals times, nothing but dried up pizza after 10 PM. They took gratuities right on the bat without any decision of the guest, including when you ordered a drink @ 18 percent. We pay 43 dollars per person x 8 people for 3 days for house keeping service, and the rooms look at if they had not been vacuumed, toilet cover seat was full of dust-look as if had not been dusted for several months, sheets were not changed, only the bed covers were throw back over the bed. I pay over 12,000 dollars for 8 people and had to pay an additional 600.00 before leaving the ship-GRATUITIES. i can not understanding why these companies will not pay their employees. They are taking all the money for themselves and we have to pay the employees-it's not my company. They said the housing keeping gratuities is in the contract in microscopic writing-they knew this information could not be seen by most guest. I am so disappointed. 1st time going on Royal Caribbean and the last. The rock climbing nor the bouncy cord was in operation during all 3 days. The kids were looking forward to the rock climbing and cord. They had to contend with swimming in salty sea water-all day. Please do not waste your money on this cruise line. Read Less

We choose this cruise, because of the affordable price, the various ports and the overall convenience. The dining options were very diverse, even for two of the pickiest eaters I know. The ship runs like a well oiled machine, from the time you get on, until the moment you disembark...Enchantment of the Seas is non-stop action. My kids loved the night club, the 70's show and the line dancing. My husband and parents loved the evening entertainment. I loved all of the above, plus the Rum Punch and Pina Colada's. Our fine dining waiter Ecko was amazing, he remembered everyone's name and added a personal touch to our cruise. The head waiter called us by name every time he saw us, be it breakfast in the morning or dinner at night. The staff made the cruise enjoyable. Everyone was very accommodating and they went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied. I am so glad we choose Enchantment of the Seas to celebrate my daughters graduation from high school. #class2018 Read Less

We chose this cruise based on the fact we had time on land as my oldest daughter gets motion sickness often and this was my families first cruise. (I cruised on this ship in 2015.) It turned out to be an amazing cruise and lots of fun for everyone. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly and so did going through customs in Key West. Going through customs in Key west was simply done on the ship and only took minutes. Dining was wonderful. We have 4 celiac and 2 of us have an intolerance to dairy and the food was still amazing. Both the main dining room and buffet were wonderful. We were stuck with a dining time of 8:30 because of the large group we had (13 total) but the night we needed to eat earlier we just went to the windjammer. The buffet was great. At breakfast and lunch there was a separate gluten free corner completely separate from the main buffet line so I didn't have to worry about cross contamination. There were tables close by but we took our food into the main dining area to eat with our group. At dinner time this area was closed but a chef took us around the buffet and told us what was safe and if we wanted something he cooked it for us matching our dietary needs. The gluten free corner had at least 3 entrees and several sides and even dessert on it. We got to taste a different flavor of cheesecake every day. My kids loved having a place to go and know they were safe to eat. We had a rainy trip but on the last day the skies cleared and everyone was able to climb the rock wall and bounce on the trampoline. The kids loved the teen and kid adventure zone so much we barely saw them this trip. As for us grown ups, the entertainment in the centrum was fun every night. The kids would pop in and say hi and even remarked how fun it was. Ports of call were fun. Since several of us had cruised before I found a tour of Nassau that hit the highlights and had tastings. At Coco Cay we rented a bungalow and it was well worth the expense. Kids played on the inflatable playground for the hour and then moved onto volleyball and such. No one ever said they were bored. Key West was HOT! We got off the ship for a couple of hours, saw some highlights then headed back to enjoy what the ship had to offer since the day was clear. We are frequent visitors to Key West so we didn't feel the pull to stay to see more. All in all it was an amazing trip for everyone. Kids and adults all said the trip went by way too fast and we are looking forward to our next adventure. Read Less

Kudos to Kumar and Kenroy for their service at dinner. They were so patient and treated us like kings and queens!! This was our first cruise and is was great. We loved getting to know the staff and their family stories. We definitely appreciated them knowing and calling us by our names. The only concer was that at checkout, there was not as many staff members working the guest services desk as I would have thought. This slowed the process down when trying to catch flights in time almost making us late. We were blessed that with a party of 18, we were able to do things individually as well as the cruise was able to accommodate us when all going to events on and off the boat. Read Less

Royal Caribbean (RC) team goes above and beyond to create a memorable experience. We absolutely loved it! From day one until disembarkation, it was a fabulous experience. We usually prefer and enjoy land vacations and flexibility to come and go as we please BUT the fact that there were a variety of activities and amenities that are included in the package made it so awesome. We are ready to plan regular family cruises in the near future. RC will be the preferred cruise line in the near future because of the superior customer service. The ports of call were very nice - Nassau, Bahamas, CoCo Cay, Key West and Miami! The five day/four night cruise is perfect for a significant getaway - not too long, or too short. It is just enough time to unplug, relax, and unwind. The ship size was nice as well, Enchantment of the Seas. We highly recommend it. Read Less

Took my family (4 kids...3, 11, 13, 15) and my wife on the cruise. The program for the 3yr old was great. She loved going to their activity center. For the other kids, I would say activities were lacking. They have a teen club, arcade (2 games and some claw machines), and another club for the 11 year old. Those activities were definitely underwhelming. My oldest hung out with us after the first day which was fine and the 11 and 13 hung out by the pool most of the time. They have a lot for the adults to do at the different bars but not a lot of options for the kids. It's either the one activity they have listed or else they are on their own. Ports- Nassau - I would definitely recommend Atlantis. Everyone in the family had a great time and the staff was excellent. CocoCay - Eh, we did the snorkeling which wasn't good. They told us an hour for that, which I think we snorkeled for about 20 minutes tops. They took us to a small cove where we floated around on rafts for about 40 minutes. I would NOT recommend that excursion. Royal Caribbean is supposed to completely make over the island next year so hopefully that makes it better. The rest of the island was very clean and I thought it was nice. Key West - Choice of activities offered by the cruise ship made it sound like there wasn't much to do in Key West. I would highly recommend lining up the excursions directly with some of the local companies. We were told parasailing was booked so we just booked a small tour only to find out that there were about 5 companies that offer it when you walk off the ship. Wasn't happy about that. Other than that, I thought the cruise was great. Friendly staff but you want to make sure you do a lot of research before you go. Read Less

This was our first cruise with RCL and we all really enjoyed it. The food was great, the service was impeccable, the ship was really clean, and it was an overall wonderful experience. We had a balcony cabin and that helped quite a bit with not feeling claustrophobic, esp. with 4 of us in the room. Each day, they would put up the ceiling bed and fold out couch for the teens and each night, they would come in and make those beds. While all ship bathrooms are small, this one seemed well laid out. I was also surprised as to how many storage spaces that were provided. I would still recommend bringing some magnet hooks for drying swimsuits. Everything went pretty smoothly, even when we travelled through 2 storms, nothing missed a beat. We were on the 8th floor towards the middle of the ship and we really couldn't feel too much difference in the rocking as we went through the storms. We were able to keep on schedule for the different ports. Read Less

We have always chosen Royal Caribbean for our cruising needs. The cleanliness is superb. The food selection is delicious. The staff is so warm and friendly and at anytime, any staff are always saying hello and have a good day to us. The rooms are clean. The shore excursions are fun and timed just right. I wish they had more of a selection in their clothing and sizes in their on board shops. More T-shirt’s with the ports of call that we are traveling to. Not everyone onboard is a size 2x or smaller...add bigger sizes and more practical clothing. If our port of call is Nassau, then offer those T-shirt’s in various sizes and reasonable prices. We didn’t have time to shop because we were enjoying our excursion. Nassau the town, closes at 6pm but we were docked there until midnight. If stores are closed then what excursions could we do? Too scary to venture out on our own. That was the most disappointing part of the trip. EVERYTHING was closed st 6pm in Nassau!! Also, the cost of snacks were too expensive..$7.95 for a bag of gummy whales was ridiculous!! Please lower the prices of your snacks and have a better selection. I’m sure you’d sell more of these items. Sometimes we just crave Pringle chips and a Reese cup but not for $10!! Read Less

I cannot say enough about how great our cruise experience was. My family really enjoyed it and there were plenty of activities on board as well as in each port for all ages. The entertainment on board was incredible and you could tell the staff loved what they do. The food & beverage team were spot on and service was quick and accurate. The un-boarding and boarding at each port was extremely easy. The staff on guest room floors were pleasant and were all very courteous. I must say that going with a beverage package is the way to go. I feel if you do not have it may be quite a hassle and become fairly expensive. The check-in and check out process were extremely easy and we had no issues. The ship is a little older and could use some updates but at the same time the ship was well maintained. We will most definitely sail with Royal Caribbean again in the future. Read Less

The shows are fun and very elegant theater. For guys please bring dress pants or a suit since they make you wear formal clothes one night, which I dont like and in my vacation through the caribbean i prefer to be in shorts and flip flop but for some reason at night some restaurants want you to wear pants and shirts. The service and experience were amazing. The kids had an amazing time as well. There were plenty for them to do, that kept them busy and happy. We had the most awesome time, relaxing out by pool, swimming, enjoying great drinks at the many bars. Music was great. Exciting parties and shows. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we did not want to depart. Looking forward to future cruises with Royal Caribbean. Cannot wait to plan our next cruise. Thank you RC for such an awesome experience. We found this cruise to be somewhat disappointing. The ship itself is very dated, rusty and wood trim scaling. The cabin furnishings are dated, worn and chipped. The staff was dismissive at times, especially if you declined the "upcharges." Some staff members wouldn't even respond when spoken to or acknowledge your request. Casino needs better ventilation, smoke smell was horrendous! The food was average-except in the main dining salon and the specialty restaurants. Beverage stations were inconsistently available. We didn't like having to ask for amenities like shower gel, lotion and conditioner. Bathroom was only stocked with shampoo and bar soap. I guess we are used to a higher level of cruising. (Disney) Our main dining staff was a bright spot in our cruise. They were very attentive and pleasant, they went the extra mile to make our experience nice. We really enjoyed our evening meals with our dinner companions. I'm afraid we will really think twice before booking again. Read Less

Staff was not very helpful when asking a question. Many times once they realized you were not purchasing one of the add on products the staff would simply walk away. Communication while on board the ship was lacking, confusing and not very accurate when you did receive some communications. Just did not appear the crew knew what was going on around the ship. Also did not appear to have a positive attitude. Not service oriented but rather more interested in selling the add on products. The Coco Cay island had way too much 4 wheeler traffic. You had to continually watch for the 4 wheeler when walking around the island and the noise level was not relaxing. Some sections of the ship are in need of some refurbishment. The staterooms are in need of new furniture and refurbishment. Our bed was hard and the furniture appeared to be very worn and reflected damage on some of the furniture. Read Less

My family and I chose this cruise because we’d previously sailed with Royal Caribbean and Carnival and preferred Royal Caribbean because of its service and cleanliness. My husband and I traveled with our children, ages 11 and 6, and our mothers. The ship, Enchantment of the Seas, is outdated but very clean. The food options were phenomenal, as always. Eating dinner in the main dining room is a must and there are so many delicious options to choose from! A few of our favorites were Steak Oscar, Tiger Shrimp, and Lobster Tail. We didn’t get a drink package since we were traveling with children. Be prepared to spend $10-$15 each for specialty drinks (+18% Gratuity.) The ports of call were okay on this cruise but Nassau isn’t the best. The city is very poor and rundown. We went on the Essential Nassau excursion which is a bus tour of the city. The first stop was a rum cake factory which is just a small shop in a rundown building. Second stop was at the Fort which there is a $3 fee to enter. There’s also a quick stop at the Queen’s Staircase which was carved into the rock by slaves and is a beautiful site. There are a few stalls to shop at here. The next stop was the best and worth booking the excursion. John Watkins Distillery is an old rum distillery in its original building and the best kept premises on the whole island. The “factory” is now modern and is not much to see but you can sample the rum and buy drinks. The Pina Colada there was by far the best I’ve ever had. The last stop was at a Fish Fry where you are led into a restaurant and seated to order. If you don’t want to eat, you have about an hour to look around the area. The summary of this excursion said 3 1/2 hours but it took us 5 1/2. Not really worth the cost but you definitely get to see the city. Read Less

Our attendant was very nice and made us fun animals out of towels every day. FUN!! We really enjoyed CoCoCay!! It was a nice, relaxing island that offered a LOT of food options at lunchtime. We chose this cruise for a family vacation. We took a group of 11 ranging in age from 3 to 50. We chose this ship because it was a 3-day cruise. This was a factor because our children had never sailed before, and we weren't sure if they would get sea-sick. Our children enjoyed themselves. They enjoyed everything from the activities to entertainment, but they hated the beds. But, as people who have cruised before, this ship left something to be desired for the parents. The staterooms seemed small and dated. It looked as if the bathrooms had been updated, but all of the other features of the stateroom had not been. Since there are only a few dining options..the Windjammer café is where most people eat. It feels like a cattle-call. There doesn't seem to be nearly enough seating to accommodate the number of passengers onboard. Royal Caribbean has a good product, I just think that this ship is one of their older ships. Perhaps it should be retired. Read Less

We cruise with RC all the time so much so that we are almost at Diamond Status. So it kills me to say this but we had a terrible time on Enchantment of Seas. We stayed in room 3599. Unbeknownst to us this was directly below the Centrum. We heard EVERY party thru our ceiling every night ALL night. So got zero sleep. Our room did not have a fridge which we needed because husband has meds that need to stay cold. Drink machines were either flat or completly out. Quest services was very rude stating they didnt have time to deal with us and tp call 1800 number. Bathrooms werr old and falling apart, activites limited, staff was rude, room attendant told us we had to be out of room by 630am so he could clean for next cruisers and that we could wait on fifth floor. All 10 of our party sat on 5th floor for 3 hours before we were able to leave, guest services closed out BIL account but not my sisters so on last day they had to wait ANOTHER hour in line to close her seapass card. They are in same room and married..the attendant that was letting people off ship said oh well you should have paid your bill...which they did, the night before and in cash. While waiting outside I attempted to go back in and us restroom and was told that I could not amd that I would have to use restroom across the street! Seriously. This is at the miami port. I've cruised 5 times. 4 on RC. Its lost its magic. Staff constantly talking about rating on surveys, obviously worried about losing their jobs. Pushing staff too hard on these. As a Crown and anchor Gold member, I expect to feel a little more special. Nothing on this trip, not even a welcome back... Not coupons, savings, additional services, etc. This ship needs another overhaul or selling. The rust on the main deck (5) is very apparently. Also shows on the pirt windows (outside on deck 3). Just didnt seem well maintained from the outside. Inside was better. Scheduled entertainment times and days need to be reviewed. Badly timed, including the last night, when you struggle as you have to put your case out by 11pm with the clothes I'm wearing, so not entertainment possible unless I go in my next day clothes, shorts and flip flops. Cococay is undergoing major work. No mention of this until the night before. Half of the island is not accessible. Appear to be making hotel rooms there and a large dock. Key west is boring. Not much to do there and nassua is all about paradise island and the cost is simply crazy. No access to water on the ship unless I bought a drinks package. I shouldn't have to pay for water. My husband and I went straight from the airport to the ship. Once on the ship, we had a great time all the way through. The ocean view room we has was great and well maintained throughout our stay, often being cleaned several times daily. The food was so far above my expectations that I truly felt like it was some of the best food that I've eaten, as a self proclaimed foodie. There was always something to do - we attended several theater shows, a jazz cabaret, a comedy show, the flag show, and some really fun and interactive game shows. It was great! I am a stickler for customer service, and the service on the Royal Caribbean ship Enchantment of the Seas was EXCEPTIONAL!!! We did snorkeling in Nassau and a trolley tour in Key West (we did the Hemingway Run distillery tour there as well), and were quite pleased with both excursions. I would definitely cruise with Royal Caribbean in the future, and I would highly recommend them. My only regret is that we didn't purchase the drink package, because the drinks were expensive and a bit weak - a deadly combination. I stuck to wine, as that's my preference anyways; but, my husband was disappointment. Read Less

I had never experienced an experience on a cruise. We were going to leave Puerto Cañaveral and for maintenance in the port we had to take this Cruise. All the services, from the cleaning of the cabin, the drinks bars, the restaurant, all of excellence. The person in charge of serving the table in the restaurant and his assistant, did his work with a dedication, contraction to work and unusual affection. They made us feel special to them. I want to highlight that. The places where we have landed are dreamed. The possibility of managing our stay in them is something to highlight.ç The food, both in the quick service area, as in the menu of the restaurant was of excellent quality, exquisite dishes. The boarding process, the mock exercise, very good, except that people, after the instructions were given in English, began to chat and make noise, not letting them hear well in Spanish. Read Less

When we boarded, we learnt there is no trained staff available for that cruise. The main dining room menu is very limited and the dishes we tried are not so tasty. We got bored of the food on the third day as the menu was pretty much same all the three days. The timings of the youth programs and infant programs are little off. The positives are the stateroom service and all the crew on the ship. These people are hard working people and really passionate to provide the best service.
