Flight delay (3h), booked with Royal Caribbean. Airport to Ship transfer did not show up (non refundable). Having paid for transfer, I had to pay additional for a Taxi, so I would not miss the ship. Made it just in time for the safety drill (1hour there). On top of that, bad weather (but that's not RCI fault). In order to hear the announcements, I needed to keep the door open, since the speaker was not working. The stateroom toilet had a 2-3 minute delay, and the non-smoking stateroom smelled like Benson & Hedges. I am supposed to be a Platinum Member with Royal Caribbean, and the only thing I got was additional raffle tickets. And I did enter my Crown and Anchor #. I think I will stop cruising for a while. The bar personnel was great, but I did not go there exclusively for drinking. This was a 4 day Bahamas cruise, and they changed our table 2 times, so I do not even know the names of our dinning room personnel. Read Less

We cruise with RC all the time so much so that we are almost at Diamond Status. So it kills me to say this but we had a terrible time on Enchantment of Seas. We stayed in room 3599. Unbeknownst to us this was directly below the Centrum. We heard EVERY party thru our ceiling every night ALL night. So got zero sleep. Our room did not have a fridge which we needed because husband has meds that need to stay cold. Drink machines were either flat or completly out. Quest services was very rude stating they didnt have time to deal with us and tp call 1800 number. Bathrooms werr old and falling apart, activites limited, staff was rude, room attendant told us we had to be out of room by 630am so he could clean for next cruisers and that we could wait on fifth floor. All 10 of our party sat on 5th floor for 3 hours before we were able to leave, guest services closed out BIL account but not my sisters so on last day they had to wait ANOTHER hour in line to close her seapass card. They are in same room and married..the attendant that was letting people off ship said oh well you should have paid your bill...which they did, the night before and in cash. While waiting outside I attempted to go back in and us restroom and was told that I could not amd that I would have to use restroom across the street! Seriously. This is at the miami port. I also want to note that the nightmare rooms we got were at full price and NOT discounted. Never again. Read Less

My travel agent booked it. We had never sailed on Royal Caribbean and want to see what it was like compared to our other experiences. Rooms were nice and the staff tried so hard to accommodate you but there wasn't enough of them to go around. Trying to get a beverage at pool was tough. My husband had to get up and get them or wait a long time before someone could get to you. Ordered breakfast in our stateroom for the first morning on the ship and it never came. We ordered for 8:00 am and by 9:00 I finally cancelled it. They tried to make it up by sending cupcakes, a bottle of red wine, and chocolate covered strawberries, nice gesture but I am a diabetic. Got sick on ship and wanted some Imodium which they wouldn't give to me without seeing the doctor and was told repeatedly there was no charge but on my final bill there was a $144.00 medical charge for 4 pills!! my comments are based on having taken over 30 cruises on multiple cruise lines over the last 40 years. windows terribly dirty throughout the ship and in our stateroom which affected your enjoyment. we paid extra for large cabin window and could not see out clearly. need to clean the windows or park the boat. could not hear announcements on ship so missed activities music and microphone in atrium way too loud effecting guest rooms near it. food was worst quaility i have experienced as to taste and selection. windjammer menu not changed enough dinner menu had expensive items that use to be free few good choices and the food presentation was weak chicken cordon bleu was frozen dry and little flavor. The seafood linguini had very little sauce, flavor, and seafood in it was rubber tasting. no choice of egg rolls or baked potato on menu which never experienced. Caesar salad made from ice berg lettuce which is not common. entertainment was weak. only 3 main singers who were given songs to sing that their voices were not capable of. no magician; acrobats, hypnotist, or really funny comedian. did enjoy the seating in main theater which was stationary individaul seats with good view and cup holders. ship began crusie from Pier F in Miami then returned at end of cruise to Pier farthest away from Pier F in other direction. had to walk a mile pulling our luggage to the garage we parked in. no communication from the ship about significant change in pier. Should have had staff there advising you of this as you walked off ship and provided complimentary buses as you exited to take you to distant garage. Read Less

Our first time cruising, last time with Royal Caribbean. i actually wanted to do 1 out of five but decided to do 2/5 just because of the hard working staff. Do yourself a favor, and don't waste your money on this cruise, you are better off spend your money on a nice resort. Here is why I gave them a poor rating: *The main reason that we booked this cruise is to go to Cocokay island. But the ship did not dock there for "safety" reasons. All we got is just apology, no compensations or partial refund. I guess they had the same problem docking at this island multiple times before on previous cruises yet they still put it on your itenary. ITS A SCAM and false advertising folks. * Rooms are extremly small, even though I paid extra for the "bigger Room", I still got a room that barely fit a bed and a night stand and it make you feel clusterphobic. *Bathrooms are extremly small and they are almost the size of an airplane bathrooms. the shower area could barely fit me and I am a skinny guy. The bathrooms smell like sweage. Discusting. *The entire second deck looks very dingy. *The food in the dining room is subpar, and it's bland to say the least. it taste like it has been prepared long time ago and just got reheated. *The pools are very small and overcrowded. however, the worse part is the pool water was freezing cold eventhough it was sunny and 85 degree every day. * The excursions are overpriced and crappy. they just want to charge you the maximum possible. * The Guest Service desk if always busy and you have to wait about half an hour to talk to someone. I guess that what happens when you have two attendants working on a ship of 3000 people. * I am not a gambler but they let people smoke in the Casino. So if you are a non-smoker and you want to gamble then you are out of luck. * The immigration process took for ever and it wasn't organised. * getting our sailing pass took forever because the line was stretch for a mile. * They add service charge on every bill even though we PRE-PAYED GRATUNITY on the total amount of the cruise charge. * Most of their onboard shows are boring and they talk bad about their competitors. The only good thing is that the staff are very nice and helpful but they are overworked. Read Less

It is one of the worst vacation that we took. The first time on a cruise ship and the last time with royal Caribbean. If you are reading this post, don’t waste your money. The only reason that I gave the 2/5 is because of the hard working staff onboard the ship. Here are some of what experienced onboard the ship: 1. Long waiting lines to get your sailing card 2. Very small rooms even though we thought we paid extra to get a bigger room. The room does barley fit the king size bed. 3. The bathrooms are extremely small. They resemble airplanes bathrooms. The shower are could barely fit me and I am a skinny person. The bathrooms smelled like sewage when we checked in. The couch is nasty. 4. The ship missed one of the Coco island one of destinations due to “rough seas”. The main reason we booked the trip just to go see the island. So we spent an extra day on water. They just gave us a small apology with no compensations whatsoever. 5. Rust everywhere. This ship needs a major remodeling or decommissioned. 6. The food in the dining room is subpar. It taste like it had been cooked days before and just got reheated. The lunch buffet was just ok. 7. The shows were ok, nothing special there. 8. The pool water was freezing cold. I don’t know how they managed to keep the water cold even though was 85 degree and sunny every day. 9. the whole second floor looked dingy 10. the excursions were overpriced and boring to say the least. On the flip side the wait staff in the dining room and the restaurant and the housekeeping are hard working people. Read Less

Let's start by saying that I am a seasoned cruiser and have been on many voyages with different cruise lines and on different continents. Chose this ship for the dates sailed and number of nights. Booked the cruise as a surprise for my husband's 50th birthday. Ordered room decorations, strawberries and champagne and a cake prior to departure. None was actually done. Disappointing! Very tired and unkept ship. Staterooms dingy, bathroom mirrors old and peeling, rust on the outside decks makes you wonder if the ship will fall apart. Strong odor in the hallways. The carpets in the stateroom dirty and damp. Water pools in the shower and does not drain. Toilets don't flush properly. Balcony doors between adjoining cabins don't open. Chairs and couches in staterooms stained and grimy. Beds are worn out. Everything on the ship is extra. Want decent coffee? $5, tips included with options to add more tips. Pictures? Pay twice if people in the pictures are in 2 separate rooms. Umbrella on the private beach? $25. Water bottles? $20 for 6 small bottles. Win the "grand prize" of $50 on shore? It's a discount coupon if you spend extra... Want a steak or shrimp for dinner? It's extra $ in the main dining room. The main course choices were so poor that I did not even bother with the main course. Luckily, our wait staff brought me a few extra appetizers... The staff is overall just ok, with the exception of our wait staff who were outstanding. The shows were nice, comedians, dancers and singers very talented and entertaining. Our last evening on board, we came to the room to find urine on the toilet seat, white goop all over the bathroom sink, hairs (yuck!) and a drill on top of clean towels. Gross!!! Reported to security. Cleaned the bathroom ourselves. Were offered a minor discount for a next cruise of we choose to sail within 12 months. In one word: Very disappointing. Read Less

Cruise started out okay but went down hill from there. 1st stop was in Nassau Bahamas which was good. Next day was to be in Cococay Bahamas woke up to recording advising we would not be going to Cococay water to choppy to disembark from ship, stayed at see all day didn't get to Key west any earlier and was given a extra hour at Key West Florida. Problem was during our extra day at sea there weren't many activities for kids, (sons 9 and 17) and too windy and cold to enjoy the pool. Didn't receive any credit for not visiting Cococay. Over priced drinks were water down and I don't drink and had 3 drinks didn't get a buzz and my husband said we were drinking flavored juice or water. Arrived late at dock waited 1st in line for over a hour past disembarking time to get off ship. Worse cruise ever, 2nd cruise with Royal Caribbean won't be returning. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the destinations (Bahamas) but the impression of this ship was not good, not as clean and not as friendly stuff like the other Royal Caribbean cruise (Freedom of the Seas) we did 2 weeks before. Due to our previous experience with Royal Caribbean we were expecting luxury, respect from stuff member and professionalism, which unfortunately for short cruises this was not the case. The ship was old, you could see rust all over, and widows were not clean. There were some efforts for restoring the ship (they were painting before we embark) but i thing the cleanliness could have shadowed this. Cabin size was very nice, comfortable and had very good services. Dining and generally food was excellent. Since it was a 3 day cruise, entertainment was mostly designed for spring breakers and adult teenagers who just wanted to get drunk and party - stuff were part of that. Shore excursions were pricey, not always good value of money, however, there are some shore excursions worthy of every price, since stuff were super professional and got the chance to see more than expected. However, RC is still one of our top selections and definitely worthy of being one of the best Read Less

Booked this cruise because we were getting off another cruise that day (it was a Monday) and wanted to cruise to finish off the week cruising before having to fly home on the weekend. I didn't even think about it being Spring Break and a 5-day party cruise until after we had already booked. My Bad! The ship was FULL of 20-somethings doing what 20-somethings do on a cruise on spring break. Not the ships fault, my fault for not putting 2 and 2 together before booking. Luckily there were no at sea days, & we could get off the ship and do our own thing during the days. Embarkation was easy. Access to rooms was around 1pm. Hallways to the cabins were literally closed off by locked doors. There was a fun Calypso band playing on the pool deck while we waited to set sail. Ship: Overall Enchantment is worked! We had a Jr. Suite, room 8118. The room itself was extremely spacious with a full bathtub. The view in the room was what I would consider the space of 2 full sized sliding glass doors. There was a full vanity with TONS of storage. A full couch, and two chairs with 2 ottomans and a coffee table and still lots of room to move about. That was Excellent. The balcony chairs were standard, non-reclining. The balcony's are NOT private, with opaque glass that you could somewhat see through at night if your neighbors lights were on. The glass was also angled at the top corner so that if standing by you railing, you can easily see your neighbor standing on their balcony or look into their room. Also, if I wanted to leave my curtains open while we slept, our neighbor could easily look into our room and see our bed via the placement of large mirrors in the room. Poor design. Also, our particular balcony, being on the 8th floor, was located next to a 9th floor bump-out by the ping pong tables, so anyone standing at those 9th floor windows could easily look into our balcony. Drainage was also a daily issue on our balcony as the daily maintenance pressure washing water pooled up in the edge gutter on the floor. So a few days my shoes, I left on the balcony, got wet by that drainage water. I used bath towels to soak up the extra water each day. Since we were on the 8th floor, I could easily hear the staff pushing their carts on the 9th floor pool deck with each wheel hitting every bump in the decking. Poor location. Something to consider when choosing a room. Also, the cabinets in our room were worn, like REALLY worn, where the finishes were just wearing off. There was fading on the wall above the bed where a picture once hung and has not been replaced and there was a non-removable smudge on the vanity mirror about 2-3 inches long and wide as well. Almost like hot glue that dried and couldn't be removed and was smudged. Drainage in the tub was very, very slow so I stood in a few inches of water with every shower. But eventually it did drain. Food in the MDR felt & tasted mass produced, which, obviously it is, but since we'd just gotten off another line, we had a good, recent comparison. The other line, nothing felt or tasted mass produced even though we know it was. Enchantment felt like things were sitting under a heat lamp for some dinners. Although some dinners were very good I must give some credit. Buffet was so so at best. There was a Starbucks onboard, and with our non-alcohol drink package, we could get Starbucks included with that package. Our non-alcohol package also came with a refillable soda cup that we could use at a few self-serve soda machines around the ship. That was very nice not to have to wait in a bar line for soda. Mock-tails were also included with this package and were very yummy as well. Entertainment was really good. The cruise director & assistant director were excellent! Brought lots of energy to the shows. Could always find a seat in the theater, although I contribute that to most of the 20-somethings were not interested in the shows on this particular sailing and that was most of the population on this particular cruise. Every evening there was a fun game or activity happening in the atrium, and typically a very loud, and fun-sounding sail away dance party on the pool deck. We didn't attend this dance party but could easily hear it from our balcony. But since it didn't last long, the music was fun to listen to and didn't bother us at all. Staff was VERY good. Everyone was happy and in good spirits. They did a wonderful job for what they have to work with, which in my opinion, is a ship that is in desperate need of renovation EVERYWHERE. But it is what it is, this seems like a ship that is mainly used for short, party cruises and when things get trashed, they don't seem super eager to replace it, knowing it'll just get worked again and I really can't blame them for that. Disembarkation was odd & slow. Even though we carried our own luggage, there was a huge line that wrapped around 1/4 of the ship and took us about 1/2 hour to get off once we got in line. Again, just had got off another ship, with more passengers, with probably a 5 minute disembarkation. So, not sure why the delay. Overall, this ship is what it is, a short, party cruise ship. If that is what you are looking for, this is a fine choice. You will have a great time. If you are looking for a more adult experience with a bit more upscale amenities, this may not be the ship for you. But like mentioned before, my bad for this major oversight. Read Less

So to preface this review- I'm a single male 30 years old (almost 31!) are Loyal to Royal, and have been on half a dozen cruises. This was my first cruise on a smaller boat since 2007 or so with Radiance of the Seas. Port of Miami was a great port. We parked at the port and had no trouble boarding the ship and getting everything going through the "Diamond Plus/Diamond/Platinum" line. I just recently became a platinum member from my Nov 2017 8 night cruise on Freedom (btw 8 nights is too many with the eating and drinking haahaha). This was my shortest cruise at 4 nights. Upon entering Enchantment, I quickly proceeded to the bar to get a double gin and tonic- only to be told that the ship doesn't do doubles on the drink package and I'd have to do one at a time. Disappointing because on Freedom they encouraged doubles!! After getting my beverage, I sat down on one of the couches and saw that it had an enormous stain on running down the front that looks like it could've been wiped up easily with a cloth. This was not the first time that I looked at something that could've been cleaned and it wasn't. Enchantment was BY FAR the direst ship I've been on. And I don't really notice these things. Enchantment needs to be taken care of better than she is! Additionally, I knew we'd hit a spring break crowd- which we did. It wasn't too too bad. Actually, the Spring Break view was great. However, the pool music was much more geared towards the EDM and it grew very very old after a while. I would've liked to have a change of pace of music- the ragee steel drum band wasn't the change of pace I was looking for. Also, it was the first cruise I've been on that requires signatures on ALL receipts for the drink package. I was also inadvertently charged for a drink on my room that was covered on the package!!! I didn't find that out until I received the check out notification with a bill. SAD! The biggest perk that I was looking forward to was receiving robes with my new Platinum status. I did not receive these robes and was disappointed. SAD! Chops was good. Definitely great service! Just like I remembered on Freedom and Indy. Overall- I prefer the much bigger boats. More to do and the crew seems to care more about the ship. The crew seemed to be tired of the Spring Break crew and was very laggy on service. I can't blame them- but it wasn't the service that I remembered on my other cruises. I have scheduled another cruise April 2019 on Allure. So glad to already have that booked from the deal that we received on the ship. Loyal to Royal as always- they can always be a 10/10 experience! Read Less

I was disappointed with this cruise. I will have to think long and hard before I would agree to next Royal Caribbean cruise. The theme of the cruise was to sell, sell, sell. From the minute you enter to the ship, they were trying to sell you something: drink packages, excursions, beach apparel, artwork, dinners in the restaurant, next cruise, etc... Constantly on every TV channel, daily newspaper, flyers, and daily activities they are selling you something. Food was mediocre at best. We ate all our meals at buffet or in the main dining room. Selection of the food in the buffet was good, however, it was always crowded. Seating was limited and we would have to wait sometimes for 20 minutes to get a table. We had to do self-service from getting our own beverages to clearing our dirty dishes. We had some of our dinners in the main restaurant and we were disappointed. I honestly think they went to the buffer to get our food. The selection in the dining room was about the same as in the buffer but more limited. I expected to see more seafood options than cod, salmon and shrimp. You could BUY a lobster tail with a steak for additional $40... Service was slow and it took two hours to get 3 course meal. Needless to say we did not comeback after two dinners. By the way, dinner rolls were delicious, I must have ate dozen of it. We had a good time regardless of all of it. It was our Anniversary and a Valentine week after all. By the way we did not get any acknowledgement from the staff in our special day. Reflecting back, we could have spent our money elsewhere in more appropriate romantic atmosphere. Read Less

I originally booked a cruise on Majesty of the Seas cruise over 10 months ago for a sail date of Feb 1 2018. They cancelled that date and I rebooked the 3 rooms I had reserved for Feb 5 201, 8, still Majesty of the seas from Cape Canaveral. October 2017 we were informed they were taking boat of the line, we chose to go on a cruise from Miami and our prices would be price protected. Enchantment of the Seas had less amenties. No johnny rockets, no pizza restaurant, less nightlife. After we booked RCL added another port and then had their money out for port taxes. Our cruise was cancelled twice, we signed up for a comparable cruise and then bait and switched and forced to pay extra. RCL said that they would pay the airline change fees for our ticket to Miami instead of Orlando. After several hours of phone calls and faxed receipts of 3 airline tickets, no money was forthcoming. Feb 5th 2018, boarded Enchantment of the Seas, the arriving cruise got in late, rooms were not ready til later in the afternoon. I brought the airline change fees refund issue to guest services desk immediately and Lorena took note. I also inquired as to why 2 ppl in our cabin received $50 cruise credit and I did not. Lorena didn't have an answer. Everyone in my reservation purchased the beverage package, we ordered a drink and when we to the bar to get another drink within 5 min(it is a girls trip and we had started the party) he inquired if we had finished our drink already. It was none of the bartenders business, I purchased a bev package. The food was fine, nothing outstanding. We did find an outstanding bartender in Boleros named Melody that was pleasant and efficient at making the drinks. The rest of the bartenders were really slow and unpleasant. Our assistant server in My Fair Lady restaurant was Jayson and he was outstanding and anticipated our needs and was very pleasant at every interaction. The entertainment on board was good each evening, a singer, a comedian, an entertainer named El Gaucho and a cast of singing and dancing. The disco night was the best night for dancing, and that was in the Centrum area of the boat. The ports were enjoyable, even Key West which they added. Coco Cay was probably the most fun, the dj on the beach and the beach games made it a fun day. There was too many fles on the food but the food tasted good. Any fun that was had that day was quickly vanished when the guest services desk tried to charge for excursions that were supposed to be paid with our room credit. The man telling me that the credits were not there had no explanation for the 2 cards in my hand that stated on board credit confirmation. I tried to cancel my cruise when they were not giving me my money during my many calls but was told I would take a penalty. I wasn't expecting alot from RCL so I didn't put my card on the account, I settled with cash at the end. After waiting in a line the night before arrival back in miami I was told I would have to return back to the line in the morning to see my account reflect any changes or updates to my account and that I should return to the guest services desk at 6am on departure date. I waited in a line 12 deep so I didn't have to wait in the morming. The guest services desk had 3 ppl helping check our a line of 45 ppl. Most incompetent company and thieves. I had the best girlfriends with me or the trip would have been horrid. The line to disembark was also infuriating, to get off the boat you have to tour the whole boat. A process that takes at least an hour. I must have shook my head in disgust at least 10 times a day. I dubbed RCL Suck of the Seas. The prices are cheap enough to attract you, (greyhound on the water)no but don't let them have your credit card number, make sure you check and keep all receipts for your case when you have to dispute a charge, buy the beverage package. ***The ladies room by My Fair Lady on the 5th floor was the stinkiest bathroom. From the first day to the last day it always smelled like urine. It was gross! Good luck Read Less

Any time some making was making a presentation from center on level 4, it was hard to hear. We were sitting on level four 30 away and could not under what we being said. People around us all agreed. We are all asking each what was said. Very poor accoustics!!!(sound) (sp). Your director, Michele was good, but she thinks she better than everyone else. She sounded that nothing would have happen without her!! We ate the Chop House. Nothing special. Tables were only about 15% full and felt rushed to get out of the place. I had problem with bar staff on first day. Our bar staff jump ahead of other staffer to get the order. Once we got the order, we waited on two other people. When I came time for me to sign the bill, he look at me for about 30 seconds before giving me the slip. He must have realized at that time given my card to someone else. I did not realize I had the wrong card until the mustard drill. When to customers service as soon as could after the drill. Customers service was closed. Told to come back in 30 to 60 minutes. Came back, line was about 30 minutes long. I do not waste my vacation time standing in line waiting to solve a problem caused by YOUR staff. Enjoy the stop at Key West, but not listed for comments. I woke up the last day after a rough night of the ship rocking, couldn't sleep, woke up and stepped in a flooded room with what looked like raw sewage! My husband called the room attended and told him our room which was a Junior Suite on the 8th floor, was flooded. Room attendant started throwing towels all over the floor, and we asked as to how we can shower and wash our feet, the attendant let us use a room about 8 doors down from our cabin. We took quick showers, and were disgusted wearing our shoes which were also wet with whatever was flooding the room. I went to guest services, and woohoo! they offered us 30% off our next cruise, then upped it to 60% off. Their argument was that we did had 3 good days that we enjoyed our cruise. If it were not for bartenders Renford Williams, Ray (from the Philippines), bar manager Mr. Franklyn, and my cabin attendant; this would have been the worst cruise I have been on with RCCL. Only these employees (especially Mr. Williams) went out of their way to make my cruise as comfortable as possible. In fact, Mr. Williams (during his breaks) attempted to find the Next Cruise employee to help me when I told him of my aborted efforts below. Instead of relaxing, Mr. Williams tried to help a passenger – me. That type of dedication is not typical of RCCL employees and I was greatly impressed. But then there was the mess. Where to start? Boarding I had surgery last summer and still walk with a cane. When we checked in at Miami the staff took our picture and gave us our key. We walked to the ship and tried to enter. The key (both my wife's and mine) did not work and we were not allow to fully enter the ship. We were told to wait in the hour plus line by the ship cruise desk. Eventually we were told it would be quicker if we left the ship and went to the entrance again to get new keys. We did but by the time I returned to the ship I was so tired and sore that all I could do was lay down for hours – a horrible start. The room The weather on this cruise was unusually cold. As a Diamond Plus member, I am fully aware this is not within RCCL’s rectification capabilities. However, the stateroom (#8630) was not set to accommodate for these conditions. The first 36 hours of the cruise found my wife and I in Siberia – freezing cold in our room. We were required to keep the balcony door open simply to allow the ambient air (about 15 degrees C) to warm the room. The second day we had maintenance come to adjust the temperature and they worked on the regulator. Quickly we became comfortable, then toasty, then hot, then steaming like a summer in the Caribbean. Once again it became necessary to open the door to the balcony; but now to cool off. After 2 maintenance attempts to fix the problem, it was not until the last night (after leaving Key West when the ambient temperature was a wonderful 26 degrees C) that we had a descent night’s sleep. Windjammer Usually we eat in the Windjammer and this cruise was not much different; however, the quality of the food was not up to RCCL’s standards. The bacon was severely under-cooked. I know that cooking large quantities will always have some pieces not fully cooked; but on this ship it was the norm. Also, there was never enough seating. I have been on Radiance, Voyage, Freedom, and even Oasis class ships which had many more passengers, but never had this seating problem in the Windjammer. This was not abnormal for this ship (it appears) since the crew was constantly rushing everyone out of their seat so as to get someone new in. It was not like a cruise ship, but tantamount to an in-and-out restaurant. In fact, it became so uncomfortable that we would rush eat, leave, and go up to the Diamond Lounge to drink our coffee in peace. Furthermore, I am allergic to orange juice so normally I drink apple juice in the morning. All windjammers have apple juice; but not one day on this ship. In fact, one morning the machines did state Apple Juice but when pressed it was only cold water. I do not mean diluted juice, but pure water. Next Cruise I was going to sign up for another cruise while on this ship. I waited for the opening time behind 3 other guests. 93 minutes AFTER the stated opening time for the next cruise desk, two of the other guests and myself left. I never returned and did not make the booking. This was horrible and while this ship does not have anyone in the Diamond lounge that does next cruises (like on the larger ships) it is still completely unacceptable that crew do not show up at stated times. I am loyal to the RC brand and have had overwhelmingly positive experiences up until the 2017-2018 New Years cruise on the Enchantment. And it wasn't just New Years Eve, it was the entire cruise The average wait time for a drink (time from bar arrival to order to delivery to receipt sign) was TWENTY minutes, even longer if you sat and ordered from wait staff. And even LONGER on New Years Eve. Every single passenger was complaining, but the bar staff was indifferent and rude. I've never experienced such a lack of engagement and passion from service staff on any other RC ship. On the positive side, the entertainment was some of the best I've experienced! The comedian was funny, both in his family and adult shows. We enjoyed the Broadway and Movie review shows, for both the talented singers and dancers. One female lead sings Whitney Houston and doesn't miss a note! Read Less

We didn't have a terrible time, because we had each other and can make the most of everything, but we have been on quite a few cruises and this was the lowest quality, even lower than a Carnival Cruise 5 years ago. Everything seemed to be out of order: beverage machines, ice machines, bathrooms, ice cream machines... not all the time but often enough that I immediately regretted buying the soda package. The dining room was anything but a fine dining experience, not because of the food, but because of the atmosphere. It sounded like a wild party with all of the boisterous (often drunk) diners around us. We couldn't hear the music being played at all and we had to raise our voices to hear each other. The first night our room was like a walk-in freezer at Sams Club. Some guys came to fix it pretty quickly and we were very thankful, but for the rest of the trip we were uncomfortably warm in our room, which made sleeping difficult. Finally, debarkation was a mess. After waiting in the lounge for our turn to leave, we spent another half hour (at least) standing in line on the stairs in a mob waiting to be scanned. THere were only 2 crew scanning cards, so someone messed up in the timing of everything. Once we got off the boat, everything was fine. Customs were a breeze, but the getting off process was painful. On an unrelated note, we were disappointed in guest relations. We made a mistake in our reservation. The purpose of our trip was to travel with friends. However, we realized, after booking our trip, that they were actually on Empress of the Seas, leaving from the same port at the same time, returning the same time, with the same (minus one) ports of call. Our mistake, completely, but despite being loyal RC cruisers, they wouldn't change our reservation without making us pay again. We hoped they would try harder to make us happy. Read Less

I usually go on Royal Caribbean cruises, and until this cruise have always been very satisfied, but Enchantment of the Seas, needs to be taken out of service. Its has lots of maintenance issues. Toilets and showers not working. A/C units not working. Restrooms not working. Soda machines not working. Windjammer buffet was always out of napkins and silverware. Every room in our party had issues, we had family and friends on cruise and we had 6 rooms. Everyone had simliar issues. Im not sure if Ill go with Royal Carribean again or not after this cruise. Ive been on quite a few of Royal Carribeans cruises, over 10, and this was the worst one Ive been on. Crew members were very nice and tried to be helpful, actually I felt sorry the crew, to be put in such a terrible situation. They did all they could to help, but can only do so much with an old ship that needs alot of work. Read Less

The ship was in disrepair. Had a JS and the balcony was very badly rusted, burn marks on the balcony table ..gross. The furniture in the cabin was in poor condition, the doors and wood finished furnishings were in bad need of refinishing. Not up to RC standards, very sorry to have to say this, because I like RCI. The tables in the WJ too close together can't sit without bumping into another person. The food in the WJ was also not up to RC standards. We were very disappointed in this cruise, the noise in the Centrum was loud and the cabins mid ship were very loud, unable to sleep at night until after midnight.. Ship is ready to go to dry dock I hope it helps. The ports were nice, but not much else was good about this four night cruise. This ship needs lot of TLC keep an eye on the dry dock. Read Less

Cruise was planned by a group I am part of. I had no say in choosing. I was very disappointed with the cabin. When we opened the door to our cabin we thought there must have been a mistake.... and then I realized that we WERE in the upgraded room!! The ship was old and rusty. The food was horrible. Out of the four dinners I would rate only one as good. I could not eat the salmon -- it was very dry and tasteless. The fried fish was something akin to Mrs. Paul's frozen dinner. Even after I removed all the soggy breading it was still not edible. Will never sail with Royal Carribean again. And I was so looking forward to it. Why didn't they paiint this ship? When we were in port the other lines were painting their ships. It was embarassing to return to this ship. Read Less

The best thing about this cruise was the cabin. It was quite comfortable and spacious. Although the furnishings weren't the most modern, it was very well maintained and clean. The service was hit or miss. Sometime good other time exceptional and then other time quite bad. I don't understand why there was always a long line to get into the main dining room when there were set time for dining and the my time was on a different floor. Also, I don't think they made good use of all of the lounges available on board. Seems we were always squeezed in the Centrum while other lounges were empty and unstaffed. The public rest rooms appears to be a struggle for them to maintain and keep tidy. The food in my opinion was below par in the main dining room and the buffet. The only way to have a decent meal was to dine in the Chops Grill. Room service was surprisingly good though. The ports were good as were the shore excursions. All in all, I would pass on this ship in the future. Not a good value. Read Less

If you like Golden Coral you will like this cruse. A belly flop contest...really? How about pig wrestling. How about frozen sausage links? How about no craft bear. How about fine dining where the server stands on the other side of the table and wants you to shout out your order. How about a piano bar signer whose voice makes you want to drink (may be this was done on purpose). Or the most delicious culinary delight - queso made with unknown cheese and NUTMEG. Why sail all the way to Coco Cay and then say the weather is too rough and change course to Nassau. Didn't they have anyone on Coco Cay that could have given them a heads up? So we sail to Nassau and the next morning the Harmony of The Sea (also Royal Caribbean) was docked next to us. It made Enchantment of the Sea look like an old tug boat. I'm going to another line next time. Not based upon the ports, the entertainment, the price, the activities, or any other reasons listed in this survey but based on customer service. Just basic service over and above that which you would receive at McDonalds. Read Less

Night 1- The muster drill was far more chaotic than what we’d experienced on other cruise lines (previously we travelled on Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Lines. It took a long time to organize everyone, and then to finally deliver the message. That night we decided to have a “they serve” dinner, versus the buffet meals we’d always had on other cruise lines. It took a full 2 hours to get through dinner, so slow that we missed the show on the first night. That was a big letdown. Day 1, Nassau. We saw other cruisers recommend going to the British Colonial Hilton. Best suggestion ever! We had a $40 meal credit each. Sounds like a lot but we got 2 sandwiches and 3 alcoholic drinks for that, but since they served us on the beach we were very happy. We had 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella right in front of the ocean. Hardly anyone was there and we stayed for a few hours. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the pier, and along the way we passed the straw market (which we wanted to see) and other shops, so we had a fruitful day relaxing and shopping. Day 2, Cococay. This is a tendered port, and the waves were too high so this ended up being an at-sea day. Apparently this happens frequently, it would be good if the cruise company (that owns this island) could build a dock on the island to avoid this problem. Royal scheduled some extra events to fill in our day, which was great, but they ended up cancelling other pre-scheduled events, such as trivia games, at the last minute. So this was a rather disorganized approach. One thing about Royal that is true of many cruise companies, they are always looking for a way to make money, on alcohol, soft drinks, casino, charges for food delivery (there was no charge when we travelled Norwegian last year though). With all that, you think Royal could be a bit generous when it came to winners of trivia contests but no. Winning teams got to share a single pen, which is a bit awkward when teams can be 6 people or so, not all of whom knew each other before the cruise. C’mon Royal, spring for at least a single pen per person. If I am being nickeled and dimed, at least give me something back for it. The Elton John impersonator show was great that night. Day 3, Key West. Nice port, bought some souvenirs and had to have some genuine Key Lime Pie. Another great show at night. Disembarking day. This was not well run. After being specifically given a time, location and process to leave the ship, when we showed up a bit early to our designated spot, we were told that everyone could just leave the ship at the same time. A bit confusing to say the least. We were also given an envelope to give extra money to the cabin steward. I recall years ago the cruise industry had a lot of flak for charging gratuities per person per day. Now it seems they are literally pushing the envelope since $14 per person per day isn’t enough. I recognize that staff don’t make a lot of money on the ships, but after being squeezed for my money on board at every turn, it was a bit much to be asked for yet another tip. We ate most days at the Windjammer where the food was meh. While the Indian food was great, the other foods were not so great. As a big dessert person, I didn’t have a single enjoyable dessert the entire cruise. I was even tempted to pay for a treat at the Starbucks, but figured if the same baker was making those treats, I’d better stay away. My biggest disappointment was that there was no in-cabin coffee maker, and brekkie didn’t start until 7:00. As a morning person, this was a deal breaker. While I did order room service in the 6:00-6:30 timeframe, it never came before 6:30 and as desperate as I was, I could barely choke down the incredibly strong coffee. I did ask for weaker coffee for my second and third days, but got the same sludge on those days as well. I have to say of the 3 cruise companies I’ve travelled with, Royal is definitely the worst. I recently went on a family cruise on Royal Caribbean starting Oct 9th. I was very unsatisfied overall with the staff on Enchantment of the Sea, in my opinion the staff all seamed as if they were ready for this cruise to be over. I truly wonder if they are close to the end of their contract and almost time to go home. Also, don't waste your time or money at the spa, the Manager there is absolutely rude! I attended the ladies pampers party and it was a complete waste of time and the Manager led the hour long (do it yourself) event and never smiled and completely shut people down for talking. I felt as if I was at the principals office NOT a pamper party! I also got a massage while on the trip and I felt worse when I left than when I walked in! One word sums up my experience "DISAPPOINTED". Read Less
