We loved our cruise on the Enchantment of the Seas. Getting on and off the boat was a breeze and we never felt bored or as if there wasn't something to do. We were entertained throughout the whole week! The staff was excellent, from our stateroom attendant, to all the bartenders and severs, as well as all the entertainment staff. My perception on cruises had always been that it was for retirees that just wanted to snooze on the deck and play shuffleboard. Being a younger couple, we always thought it wasn't for us. But when we decided to go as part a group event, those perceptions were quickly changed! We found out that the cruise is really more like Vegas on the seas! The food was excellent and we loved the excursions and time in port. Unfortunately we ran into some not so great weather, but no fault to Royal Caribbean. We were able to make the best of the weather and still had a complete blast! We can't wait to book our next cruise! Read Less

We selected this cruise for the dates we had available and having no prior experience it did not matter to us which ship. Other reviewers mentioned that this was a smaller ship, but it seemed large to us. We really enjoyed our experience on the Enchantment of the Seas; both the customers and the staff were international and friendly. The food was excellent in the dining room and the buffet had good choices. The buffet was crowded, but the dining room often had empty seats. The entertainment was very professional and impressive, with an interesting variety of shows. The cruise director, Bobby, was extremely enthusiastic. We enjoyed touring Nassau and Key West. We stayed all day at Coco Cay and waited out the rain to enjoy an hour of sunshine at low tide. This fall they will complete a docking station on the island so the tender ships will not be needed any more. We arrived the day before and stayed at the Hilton downtown. Some people missed the cruise and flew to Nassau to join the ship. In Miami my husband insisted on using the free monorail to Freedom Tower and then walking over the bridge to the port, and it is doable with rolling luggage if you are in good shape. The only disappointment was the line for the immigration process, which seems disorganized on the ship while we were in Key West. Rated the cruise four stars because the weather was not the best. We are looking forward to going on another cruise in the future. Read Less

The ship's facilities (rastaurants, bars, club, pools, casino, stores, staterooms, public areas..) each place in general is very beautiful, very well equipped and clean. The food was spectacular, very varied, a lot of options and deliciuos taste, as well as the drinks and cocktails. Excellent also the maintenance service of the staterooms. The activities during the nights were also wonderful and varied. The animation team and artists are very talented. Congratulations to the Royal Caribbean team in general, for the human quality, for the exceptional work that you guys do!!!! and the most important, thank you very much for making the client feel, all the time, like part of a great and beautiful family. The women of the family take a yearly getaway vacation. This was our second time on the 3-day cruise to Bahamas with RC. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!! Our cabin steward was Devanie and she was great! Our waiter in the dining room, My Fair Lady, for our 6pm seating was Aries....I love him! I wasn't feeling well the first night and left the table. He was so concerned for my well being, honestly and sincerely concerned for how I was doing! His assistant was Kimberly. She was wonderful as well. Devanie, Aries, and Kimberly took care of our every need. Did I mention that THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!! The activities were fun.....really enjoyed karaoke! And the cruise director, Bobby was hilarious! We had a great time partying and dancing on the lido deck.....wobble baby, wobble baby!! As I said this was our second time and we'd do it again. Did I mention that THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!! A BIG THANK YOU TO DEVANIE, KIMBERLY, AND ESPECIALLY ARIES!!! We had a great time and their kindness, welcoming spirits, and overall great attitude enhanced an already awesome trip! Read Less

I chose this cruise because of dates and destination met my needs. I was extremely disappointed with staff service. The boat is visibly out dated. The rust and broken parts of the banister were an eye sore and concern for sturdiness. The bathroom towels were ripped and thin. The bathroom had a horrible smell the entire trip. The main dining room staff were the worst on our last night. The steaks were extremely overcooked. 1 steak was asked to be prepared medium and the other medium well, they both were extremely well done 1 dryer than the other. My son was not served his juice until after he finished his meal even after reminding server he was still waiting for it. This was my sons graduation gift from high school and I wish I had chosen a different cruise line. At 17 the ship didn't offer much for him at all! Thank God snorkeling was available that made the best of his time! I doubt I ever travel royal Caribbean again. If so I will definitely do more research on their ships. This was entirely too old they need to redo the whole boat! Read Less

We totally enjoyed this particular cruise three years ago, and wanted to experience it again. Coco Cay was the highlight of the trip for us. I traveled with my two adult sisters and adult niece. We had a fantastic time! The dining room staff in both the Windjammer Cafe and My Fair Lady Dining room were EXCELLENT! The Cruise Director was Outstanding! My sisters, niece, and I plan a family get away every year and this is our second return to Royal Caribbean, and definitely not our last!! The ship is kept clean, safe, and beautiful. The food was phenomenal, from breakfast, lunch, dinner, to "snacking", every bite was absolutely delicious! I did not have one negative experience on this cruise at all ~ everything was superb! At the end of the cruise I hated to leave the bed, the shower, and the scrumptious food!! Even though they say that all good things must come to an end, I can't wait to go on yet another Royal Caribbean cruise. Matter of fact, I plan to start planning the next cruise as soon as I finish this review! Thank you Royal Caribbean, for a wonderfully memorable experience aboard your Enchantment of the Seas. My husband and I are pretty loyal to Royal Caribbean and each cruise we've been on has exceeded our expectations. Our most recent cruise was in May to the Bahamas for three nights. We typically book a room with a balcony, but since this was a short trip (and I got a great deal!) we chose an interior room on the third deck. My stateroom was perfect! My husband is used to his balcony, but honestly, this interior room was perfect. It wasn't too small, had a TV and some walking space along with a good-sized bathroom. And I think the bathrooms have recently been updated, so that is always a plus. Per usual, ALL the staff on the ship we excellent, especially our stateroom attendant (Jorge from Dominica, I believe) and main dining room servers (Anthony from Goa, India, and Jinling from China). Whatever I wanted, they made it happen. I was never told "no" - from asking for specific dishes that weren't on the menu to my husband ordering Indian food for dinner every night. Our ports of call were Coco Cay and Nassau. Coco Cay was beautiful and well-maintained. Nassau was great, too! But, don't get hustled by the cab drivers. and I wouldn't recommend going to Atlantis. It's just another over-priced hotel, and honestly, you're already on a cruise, so explore other options in the city. Read Less

We love Royal Caribbean and have sailed with them several times. Each time we have had superior service in all aspects of the ships. We always stay in a balcony room and it is so much more enjoyable. You have the option of eating breakfast and dinner in the dining room which I recommend. The Windjammer is another option for meals. There are also great prices on jewelry and alcohol on board. Staff is always very friendly and are always willing to answer our questions with a smile. There is always plenty of options for things to do. The private island is also very enjoyable and relaxing and they serve lunch on the island. We rented snorkeling gear and saw beautiful fish and stingrays. Good shows on board as well. The music is fabulous and a real enjoyable time. I recommend you exit with your own suitcase, you can leave earlier and beat the crowd. We used an offsite cruise parking which works out great. Leave the transportation to someone else and it’s reasonable. Alot of hard work is done so that we can have a good time! Thank you RC❤️ Read Less

So many activities to do all the time and for all ages! We enjoyed all the theater performances and the poolside activities! The food was great and the staff was even better! Our cabin was cozy. The bathroom was a little small for our liking but did fine for 5 days. Our favorite ports were Coco Key and Key West! Our boat was supposedly one of the smaller boats so it did get a little rocky at times. We were told you could get a patch from guest services; however, that was not true. Also, previous cruises I had been on had complimentary room service.. this cruise had a fee (not much but still). We put our drink pass to good use, the drinks were not very strong though! Overall, we enjoyed our experience on enchantment of the seas! The staff made our trip an enjoyable and exciting time! Great trip! Read Less

My sister-in-law did all the arrangements and organized us setting up this cruise. We had a blast. I have nothing negative to say about the ship and the staff. Everyone was extremely nice! We were able to snorkle with my entire family and we rented the snorkeling gear at CocoCay first. It was so beautiful and calm. We couldn’t believe that we swam the entire water twice! It was exciting to see a Sea Turtle and Stingray. I do wish that the Reggae Night and the Captians Ball were different nights. I was really looking forward to the Reggae Night and was bummed I had to cancel because my entire family was prepared for the formal. The Dolphin excursion at The Blue Lagoon was not to miss. Being kissed and hugged by a dolphin may have been the highlight of the trip!! Bring money for pictures. You will want to have great memories. Read Less

I had an excellent experience on this cruise (this was only my second cruise so I don't have alot to compare it to). I traveled with two of my sisters in law and we all had a wonderful time. The entertainment and activities were very good. The evening entertainment in the Orpheum Theater was especially good. There was a comedian who I thought was quite good/funny (Carl Banks?). The Royal Caribbean singers and dancers were super talented. All the staff on board who I had any interaction with were so, so helpful and generally went the extra mile. The ship itself was fine, no complaints (except see my comments on the cabin. Our servers (Uri from Ukraine and Henry from Peru) in the dining room were fantastic. So pleasant, friendly and accommodating. I'd rate the food good, not great. We also ate other meals at the Windjammer Cafe (buffet). Food there is plentiful and decent. I was pleasantly surprised to find good Indian food there. We enjoyed our excursions. One was a conch tour in Key West and the other was a bus tour around Nassau. The tour guide/driver on the Nassau excursion was great. HIs name is Julius or Julian (if you go on a tour with him, you will find yourself going "woo hoo" alot). He was so entertaining and funny (and nice too). Some of the activities were hokey or silly (I accept that as part of the cruise experience). For instance there was a belly flop contest and sexiest man on board contest. The tribute on the last night to the many nationalities represented on the cruise was really great. You could tell that the crew and passengers really connected. My favorite port was Coco Cay, the private island owned by Royal Carribean. Beautiful sand and water, If you get there moderately early there is no problem getting a beach chair in the location you want. We also enjoyed Nassau and Key West. But the experience would have been enriched if the ship had offered some kind of information about the locations (e.g., history, current situation, etc), besides the usual cruise hype. I'm sure some passengers wouldn't be interested but I'm guessing alot would. One suggestion - they should have more people at the guest services desk. There is usually a line. Read Less

If I wanted to spend my vacation in long lines I would have gone to Disney World. The Good: I'll start by saying that the staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was great (aside from the bread). We had a really great time aside from the long lines. The stateroom was wonderful, you couldn't hear the engines or any ruckus, I would have thought I didn't even have neighbors if I hadn't seen them! The Bad: This was my 5th cruise with Royal Caribbean and begining at embarkation we noticed plenty of disorganization when trying to coordinate guests for the muster drill, I had never experienced that before and initially thought it was just a one time issue. My mother was traveling with me and she is not disabled but she is elderly and can't stand for long periods of time so when she noticed that we had to stand outside in the heat for the drill she requested to be allowed to sit. The drill was very long and could have easily been conducted while seated indoors. My mother later told me that she would have likely fainted if she had to stand outside for the drill. There should have been an announcement notifying guests that can't stand for long periods of time to go inside for the drill after checking in at their muster stations, most first time cruisers don't know that they can request to sit for the drill if they are unable to stand. Going through customs and immigration when we arrived in Key West took over an hour and a half. Key West was the port we were looking forward to most and the itinerary said we would be there 10am -6pm but because of the long process we didn't get off the ship until almost 12 significantly reducing the time we had to enjoy the island. The line was very long and we didn't know when it would end, luckily there were a few chairs along the way so my mother could sit briefly. Disembarkation was also very long and uncomfortable. We chose to carry our luggage off the ship since we have experienced that it is normally faster than having it taken for us. We skipped breakfast to disembark faster and when we reached our disembarkation area we found a very long and winding line that went out onto the deck of both sides of the ship, it spanned nearly the entire length of the ship and had us directly in the hot Florida sun for most of it. Since the line led outside on the decks of the ship my mother had nowhere to sit. I am not likely to recommend Royal Caribbean to any of my friends and family who are elderly, have disabilities or are unable to stand for long periods of time. Read Less

There was some construction and restoration of the boat going on and a few bad odors on board.... But overall good, entertainment was great! Embarkation was fantastic, disembarkation was okay... Can't wait for construction completion of Coco Cat! It will be nice, I'm sure! Shops too expensive in comparison to quality and photo packages too pricey! Joined a group of friends who had already booked. We are partial to the Enchantment because we were married 11 years ago on this ship. After sailing a few larger ships and a Mega-ship, I much prefer the smaller crowds and short lines on the smaller ships. I will definitely sail Enchantment again - as long as we go with a group of people, the lack of activities available onboard really doesn't matter. This was a great vacation, the only negative was the transfer from the ship back to the airport - we had to wait for one hour while the driver filled the bus completely, then another half hour for him to drop most everyone off at American Airlines before he dropped us at the Delta side of the airport...We will definitely taxi it next time! Coco Cay was not very impressive, we decided we just wanted to relax that day and reserved a lounger. The location where the loungers are placed have only ankle-deep water...we walked out about a quarter mile before deciding to turn around - I have no idea how far the shelf extends. It would have been nicer if we could have bobbed in at least waist-deep water. In addition, the location of all the loungers is on the leeward side, so there are no ocean breezes. It was hot, sticky, and not very fun or relaxing. We walked the shore, and didn't spend much time 'lounging'. We left before lunch was served and went back to the ship to have lunch. On Key West we did a kayak excursion, I'd never kayaked before, and it has been thirty some-odd years since my husband has. There was no instruction, just a 'paddle right to turn left and left to turn right'. This excursion was not good for a beginner - spent most of the time trying not to crash into other kayaks or the tangle of mangrove branches. It might have been a good excursion if I'd known what I was doing... Pleased with the friendliness and hard work of the crew onboard Enchantment. Read Less

My wife & I went on this cruise as part of the Tribe Tambor House Music Cruise 2018 as we missed last year's inaugural event. This was my 1st cruise ever & my wife's 2nd cruise experience. The Enchantment of the Seas is an older midsize cruise ship but considering that this was my 1st cruise it appeared huge to me. Ship was well maintained and clean. Our cabin was located on the 2nd deckr port side forward. I've read previous tips that being that close to the anchor would bother your sleep but honestly my wife & I never heard the anchor being dropped. Guess we were too tired from the late night activites..lol. Overall we were very pleased with our stateroom. Overall dining experience was pleasant. The buffet selections at the Windjammer were pretty good. The only issue we had was trying to find a seat when everyone is trying to eat at the same time..lol. The dining experience at My Fair Lady was top notch from the courses offered to the service provided. Overall we were very pleased with the experience, so much so that we're planning to go on an Alaskan Cruise for our 60th birthdays in 2020. Read Less

This entire trip and cruise was amazing! Top notch customer service throughout the ship. Great people on the ship! and my cruise was FREE!! I plan to be taking a cruise from here on twice a year! I prefer Royal Caribbean ships due to the ages of those cruising on RC ships opposed to other competitors. The entertainment on the ship was great! The dining experience with our wait staff was superb! We loved the last night at dinner; TN was recognized and thanked as the dining staff sang a song to us all. The embarkation's were pleasantly quick, and easy to get on and off the ship! The temperature throughout the ship was also perfect! We were nervous about taking a 4 year old on a cruise. It turned out so much better than expected. The staff that runs the kids activity club did a great job keeping out daughter happy for a couple hours each night. She also had a great time hanging out with us at night seeing shows in the Centrum area and playing bingo. I didn’t have to worry about cooking or cleaning and the activities, pool and island beach kept everyone in the family entertained and happy. We are definitely booking another cruise for later this year. Next time, we want to have a room with a balcony. We did not book any excursions which turned out fine. We had plenty to do without them. However, next time we will buy drink package. We didn’t think we could drink enough to make that worth the $$. Turns out it was as our bill for drinks was more than the price of the package would have been. I was really impressed by the service we received from the staff. Read Less

Please forgive me, i forgot my cleaning lady name. She was as excellent as excellent can get. My dining servers Rowena Mendoza, Anoushka Somary and the manager Joshephine went far beyond of what was expected in making my dining experience on a cruise ship one i would never forget. With a host of many more members i've met with, i'm looking forward to many more cruises with Royal Caribbean. My bags were at my cabin door as told, and the departure experience was flawless. We choose this cruise for its Monday through Friday dates that worked with our schedule. I did read the review prior to making plans, so I do agree with most of the previous review in regards to food, and the ship is older. The ship is smaller and outdated of which I hope RCL does pay attention and make plans to revisit their smaller older ships with make-overs. With a smaller ship, you do get fewer options regarding on ship activities. The food was average. The coffee in the main dinning room is not strong, when we asked why one young lady attendant said its because they believe "people don't want it strong in the morning." I noticed three staples items everynight, mash potato, Cesar salad creme brule (spelling, not sure). Lobster used to served on one of the nights but now there's a charge. Only two specialty dining options Chef's table or Chops grille. Of course, I'm comparing our first RCL on Allure of the seas to Enchantment. Boarding is better on a weekday than a weekend. Getting off was easier with no Customs to go through on the last day. However, the shows, cast, the Cruise director, plus the crew made up for all else. They were very friendly and attentive, fun and engaging. We did miss out on the Coco Key private island on Wednesday due to rough seas. But we made the most of that day at sea. Being our first to Key West, it was neat to have rented bikes and explore KW on our own, conveniently located right off the ship. This is just a nugget of information for moms out there with kiddos our kiddos age.I noticed that this ship would not have been good for our kids as far as activities. They had one rock climbing wall of which was not open for most of the cruise due to wind and weather, I did not see things on Enchantment that were on the Allure, Oasis or the newer out of the dockyard. Again, with my observation and slight experience, bigger and newer would accommodate my 16,14 and 6-year-old had we cruised with them. I hope this small bit of information helps :) Happy cruising. my comments are based on having taken over 30 cruises on multiple cruise lines over the last 40 years. windows terribly dirty throughout the ship and in our stateroom which affected your enjoyment. we paid extra for large cabin window and could not see out clearly. need to clean the windows or park the boat. could not hear announcements on ship so missed activities music and microphone in atrium way too loud effecting guest rooms near it. food was worst quaility i have experienced as to taste and selection. windjammer menu not changed enough dinner menu had expensive items that use to be free few good choices and the food presentation was weak chicken cordon bleu was frozen dry and little flavor. The seafood linguini had very little sauce, flavor, and seafood in it was rubber tasting. no choice of egg rolls or baked potato on menu which never experienced. Caesar salad made from ice berg lettuce which is not common. entertainment was weak. only 3 main singers who were given songs to sing that their voices were not capable of. no magician; acrobats, hypnotist, or really funny comedian. did enjoy the seating in main theater which was stationary individaul seats with good view and cup holders. ship began crusie from Pier F in Miami then returned at end of cruise to Pier farthest away from Pier F in other direction. had to walk a mile pulling our luggage to the garage we parked in. no communication from the ship about significant change in pier. Good itinerary. Staff is very warm and friendly and make every effort to make this a great holiday. The staff is Royal Carribean’s biggest reason for success. Due to bad weather 1 of 3 port of call (Coco Cay) was cancelled and shore excursions on Key West was cancelled. While this was no fault of Royal Carribean it did make the vacation a little less exciting. Dining options at the windjammer were excellent especially in terms of variety and freshness of the food. Coffee could use a little bit of an upgrade. Soda machines are available at floors 6 & 9 but you have to go all the way to floor 9 every time you want coffee. It would be nice to have coffee machines on more than one floor Laundry service is good and priced reasonably. They do not overcharge you. We sail frequently on two different lines. This was No. 7 for RCL. We traveled with five adults and two small children on this short 4-day Bahama and Key West tour. It was the first cruise for our family and we were hoping Enchantment would give them a positive experience. DH and I had an aft Jr. Suite. Dining room food was very good. Service from Shereen was excellent; best dining stewart we have ever had. Windjammer was always busy; meal offerings and desserts - okay. Nothing special but it was a short cruise. Entertainment was your typical production show. Comedian was good. Cruise Director was a high-energy guy! Loved the Love & Marriage show. I had several problems with Guest Services. Maybe it was a loss in translation, but nothing was settled nor understood. I made 3 visits to the desk and still had to call RCL's customer service department from home. Embarkation, along with the disembarkation went well. Nicely organized. Cabins ready when we boarded. Staff was friendly. Ship was in good shape. Nice small size ship. Good overall experience for our new sailors. Read Less
