We picked this cruise based on dates and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Everything was clean and well maintained. The service in our cabin, in the dining rooms, and throughout the ship was wonderful. We had balcony rooms on deck 7. They were comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and having the ocean breeze. The meals were amazing. We loved all the choices and never felt the need to eat in any of the optional restaurants. The fruit was always so fresh. We had a great time in all the ports. We especially loved the dolphin encounter in Nassau. The private island of Coco Cay exceeded our expectations. In addition to the clean, well maintained beach, the barbecue was very good. We enjoyed the shipboard activities we went to, and we were impressed by the level of talent aboard ship. Overall, it was such a wonderful relaxing time. We all agreed it was our best vacation ever. Read Less

We travelled with 2 other couples (our cousins). Everything went smoothly. It was very easy to go through the embarkation process and disembarkation process. Royal Caribbean obviously has this down to a science. It was all very organized and easy to follow. The ports of call were outstanding. The onboard shopping expert was excellent. He provided wonderful shopping insights and shopping tips. The beach day at Cocoa Cay was spectacular. We rented Waverunners and had a blast! The Waverunner guides were wonderful regardless of the participant's experience level. The dining experience was outstanding. We did the MYTIME option, which provided the flexibility to eat anytime. We had a favorite server team, Gabriel and Avelino. They were such a pleasure and did a wonderful job catering to our varied dining requests. We also dine at the Chop House one evening and we are so glad that we did. Although there was an added charge, it was well worth it. Our server, Theresa, was a hoot. We had a truly memorable evening thanks to her. Additionally, we had the opportunity to meet our chef, Jameis. In fact, it was his birthday on June 13th and when he came out to check on how everything was, we all sang happy birthday to him. We closed the place down that evening. Additionally, the entertainment on the cruise was top-notch. We saw several shows and the talent on the cruise was exquisite. There was one singer (I cannot remember his name but he was a tall, thin African-American gentleman) and he was unbelievable. I truly expect that he will become a star and household name some day. His voice and stage presence was phenomenal! The dancers were also spectacular. Overall, this cruise was truly special and yes, we are already planning our next one. Thank you Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Sea crew!! Read Less

Amazing amazing amazing. Best staff and service we have ever had. I have been to some nice places, 5 Stars in Vegas, DC and California, Ritz, 4 Season but wow Royal Caribbean is a must do in life. It was our first cruise and we are already looking at another for Thanksgiving. We are hooked and your service made that happen, first class all the way. Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience. The shows were great, we saw them all. It was a three day cruise and we were only in the room to sleep as their is so much to do. Comedy, singing and dancing. The food was top notch. Really enjoyed the shopping at Bahamas and did a self tour of Atlantis while we were there. The ship staff was excellent would do anything you needed, nothing was out of reach always willing to assist. Read Less

The cabin attendant was extremely attentive, his name's Bryson and he was going above and beyond. After hour lounge was awesome, just wished they played more club songs. I went with family and cousins and grandparents. I'm a single woman around 25 and wished there was an event for single people on the cruise. The beach of Cococay and Nassau were absolutely lovely. The rock climbing attendants were great with instructions and the rules. I believe their name was Joe and Caylen. Also, went to jump on the trampoline but it was kind of boring since you can only go up and down. The attendant was very helpful, his name was Jackson from Scotland. Dining room experience in my Fair Lady was absolutely wonderful because of my servers, Conny from the Philipines and Mickerson from India. They were swift with getting our orders of 11 people in my family and were precise on delivering the food in a timely manner. Read Less

We had a really fun weekend on the Enchantment of the seas. The ship is in good shape, but can use some new furniture, especially dinning room chairs. With that said, I would definitely go back on the ship again. We ate dinner in the main dining room every night. We had a standing 7:45 PM reservation. I can honestly say that the food was very good on this ship. We also had excellent service in the dining room. We have been on many cruises, especially three day where the food was just OK? This ship has a good chef and it shows! . The Windjammer had decent food, but it always seems like chaos and unorganized. Our cabin lived up to our expectations for a three day cruise. We had a window cabin on deck 3. It was clean and very sufficient for a three day cruise. My only real complaint is that the trip was too short. Read Less

My wife and I booked this cruise less than two weeks out from the departure when I was unexpectedly able to take some time off of work and our 3 kids were away from home for various adventures of their own. Our previous cruise experience was in 2011, also with RCCL on the Liberty of the Seas, so we boarded the Enchantment with a few, but not many expectations. On the whole, we were pleased in most areas and disappointed in a few others On the positive side, the crew is friendly, eager and fun. Of note were our waiter (Blue), our stateroom attendant (Juan) and the entertainment director (JP). Blue was excellent about making spot-on recommendations for dinner. Amusingly, on the 2 evenings when I deviated from his suggestions, he insisted upon bringing me both my choice and his. His choice was consistently better. Aside from that, he was attentive, but not obtrusive. As the entertainment director, JP was outgoing, hilarious, and infectious with his enthusiasm. The audiences really seemed to respond well to him. The other musical acts we saw were equally good. The bands featured in the centrum area were very skilled and pleasant to listen to. Our ocean view stateroom was on the 4th deck towards the fore of the ship on the port side. It was small but comfortable. The lavatory was also small but everything was in working order. Juan kept our cabin clean and tidy. He was also friendly and pleasant to chat with. A few misses that bear mentioning: • Expect to be bombarded every time you board the ship and several times a day by someone pushing you to make a reservation at the specialty restaurant or some other add-on. Upon our initial embarkation, I had to fend off at least a half dozen waiters trying to push a menu for "Chops Grille" into my hands. After the 10th solicitation in 24 hours, I found myself avoiding the centrum area. The solicitations for wifi packages, drink packages, art auctions, shopping "deals", and spa treatments were pervasive and distracting. My wife had a 50 minute ($150) bamboo massage that ended with a 15 minute sales pitch for $700 worth of various health products. In the gym, I spotted a "metabolism analyzer". This device is about as scientific as a dowsing rod. I made the mistake of allowing myself to be tested during our 2011 cruise. I will not be making that mistake again. • The running track is closed and apparently has been for some time. A wall has been erected at the aft turn-around. Looking into the walled off area revealed a lot of rust on the deck and no signs of construction or maintenance. Fortunately, during the hours that the climbing wall was closed, they opened the gates in the very aft of the ship which allowed the dedicated to complete their laps. This closure was not mentioned in any of the pre-boarding literature, and none of the onboard signs alerted guests of this outage. That seems a little deceptive. • Despite what the Ship Compass and other documents say, there is no dress code in the dining room, even on "formal night". It was both alarming and amusing to see couples in formal cocktail dresses and tuxedoes sitting next to couples in bikini tops (albeit with translucent coverups), sleeveless tees, and short shorts. In any case, if you're reading this and worried about packing enough clothes for the dining room - don't. Wear whatever you want. • The food quality was somewhat spotty and certainly not as good as we remembered from our 2011 cruise. My wife, for example, ordered the "Manhattan strip" the first night and was served two slabs of very well done beef that reminded me of the quality one would expect at a Sizzler's or Denny's. On another occasion, she ordered the fresh catch of the day and was given two cold pieces of swordfish that lacked any kind of seasoning. In contrast, the beef tenderloins we ordered on the formal night were cooked precisely, very well seasoned, and amazingly tender; the desserts were consistently awesome. • Our shore excursion to RCCL's private Bahamian Coco Cay was a highlight and much improved over the private Haitian Labadee visit that we endured in 2011. That said, it is important to go into these captive excursions knowing that you will be nickel-and-dimed at every turn. Consider: $45 rental fees for sunshades (which retail for $50-$75), $18 rentals for floating mats (which retail for ~$100), and $8 for any drink beyond water, iced tea, or lemonade. While all of this is surely a point of pride for RCCL's shareholders and accountants, it is, imo, a bit abusive to the guests. Overall, and despite the criticisms above, it was a great trip and a very relaxing getaway. Read Less

We love Royal Caribbean. The food is wonderful, and everyone makes you feel at home. We enjoyed our CoCo Cay experience. The glass bottom boat was a fantastic tour. The crew Cardinal and Quick Draw McGraw were very entertaining and informative. We took the tour to Atlantis and really enjoyed our guide. We also had time to do some gambling. The entertainment on the ship was very good. We saw the Tony Tillman show. He is quite the entertainer. The crowd was really into his show. He made you laugh, and sing a long. We were very glad we went to the show. It is easy to get sidetracked at the casino. We enjoyed our gambling time. Gambling is a big draw for us. We had one dealer named J who made us laugh and have a really fun time. Overall it is an older ship and could use a paint job, but we had a great long weekend! Read Less

We chose this cruise because it was a quick weekend getaway for our family for a reasonable price. The staff was extremely friendly and made us fee like we were still at home and they were there to take care of our every need. The Food was AMAZING! Every day there was something delicious and new for our taste buds. I don't think there is any restaurant that we can go to a home that offers such a wide variety as this ship had. Shore excursions were a lot of fun. Coco Cay was clean, and everything from food to activities was very well organized. It was also a lot of fun exploring the Atlantis resort. The Aquarium is world-class and there are fish, sting rays, and turtles in the many pools that surround the resort. Our room was very clean and the staff made sure that all of our needs are taken care of. Read Less

Bilingual and friendly staff, Many time frames and options for dining. The activities have something for everyone lots to choose from. The quality of food was good no one got sick :) The Pool Party was fun, however, they requested for us to wear White, but unless they tell you before for you to prepare when packing, how is one to know? The Explore Atlantis tour was great. The tour guy (Peter) was very informative, I personally learn a thing or two about how handling Fish encounters emergencies situations. They also, 2 added a bonus to our tour, to go meet the dolphins and or stay at the hotel the whole day. The check going getting back to the ship was ease and fast (sea pass and Photo ID ) done. no lines no waiting. The only thing I did not like was the room service fee charge of $7.95 for each time you requested. I think is Should be for the day , and not each time you call. The Quality of the food is great and the timing is ok. Other than that my overall experience was awesome. Read Less

Since we were first time cruisers we chose the 3 night Bahamas Cruise to learn about the experience, plus to celebrate our wedding anniversary . The ship, our cabin, dining and customer services were excellent. We had lots of entertainment and activities including lots of dancing and more than enough of fine dining. The cruise allowed us to meet people from Atlanta, Orlando, Detroit, India, Ukraine, Italy, Colombia and China. We enjoyed every port and enjoyed beautiful clear water beaches. We loved the Caribbean culture and the Caribbean music. There were some rust area on the ship, but it did not impact our experience on the cruise. Our housekeeping service was excellent and the main dining room head waiter, Fransisco and Assistance Waiter, Ijor were extremely helpful and friendly. They took the time to get to know us and we got to know them as well. Thank You Royal Caribbean you truly provided us with an Excellent experience.!!! Read Less

This ship is old and outdated. Activities director should be fired. Unless you want to watch a belly flop contest, attend a crappy art auction, or watch her host a crap version of the newlywed game, you WILL be disappointed. My room had mold everywhere. Mattress was so old it was worn in in spots and springs would poke me. Absolute nightmare! Dining was fine but the food was like eating in a hospital. Drink service was unbearably slow. Two pools and they are both so tiny. No meal service offered after dinner except for in the cafe and the line is always about a mile long so be prepared to wait. Service was slow by the pool and people are so rude. I actually felt bad for the bartenders there. In slower bars, the service was much better. The entertainment was the most disappointing and the filthy old cabin was second. The best part of this cruise? THE END! Read Less

I chose this cruise because it fit the time frame I needed for departure and return. I was a little disappointed that the ship was much smaller than previous cruises I have taken on RC. I guess I could have done better research and found out the size and age of the ship. It would be nice if there was a system that explained or indicated this during the booking process. If there is a system already in place it needs to be showcased better. I really do like RC and probably won't venture out much if at all to other cruise lines. I purchased the beverage package but didn't find out til after the cruise that it could be used at Starbucks on the ship, this would have been helpful to know, as my wife loves their coffee. Nonetheless, RC is a great company and they run a clean and professional operation. They are an excellent choice for family's and friends to experience new places. TOn our most recent trip we had a party of 15, we will be back soon on a newer ship. Read Less

We have always booked with Royal Caribbean. My husband and I chose to do the four night cruise to the Bahamas. Based on our experiences with previous cruises, our expectations were high. It was easy getting on the ship, but as soon as we were on board we noticed some rather big issues... The room we booked was nothing like the pictures we were shown. We were under the assumption that we were in "the owner's suite" when we booked over the phone with the RC rep, but it was as small as any other room we had been in, just more expensive. The food is always phenomenal, and this time was no different, however, nothing was open on the ship past nine except for a small cafe that served small snacks that were not very good. The pools all closed at 9pm which was a huge disappointment, but not only that, the pools were closed during the day as well. Every time we got ready to swim, we would walk up to a pool and see that it was closed "for cleaning". The Enchantment of the Seas is outdated and does not compete with the other ships. Now that we know that not all Royal Caribbean cruises are held to the same standards, we will pay more attention to the ship we book on. We paid a lot of money to make our honeymoon unforgettable and unfortunately, it didn't turn out that way. Read Less

Would love to take another cruise soon and would absolutely take the same one. Made friends with the crew who would call us by our name. The food was so good, never had a meal outside of the ship. We choose this cruise due to the date and the price of the cruise. We should have chosen a larger ship but overall we made the best of it and had a nice time. I feel that when a person is disabled (wheel-chair bound) the excursions are very limited. The cabins were so outdated that anytime a person wanted to get their balance on their account (televisions in room didn't display information) they had to go to the customer service desk. Sometimes I would walk past that area and the lines was snaked around the area where they were taking pictures. It seemed as if they didn't have enough people working in that area. The security going and coming on the ship before and after excursions were rather rude with the "I'm all that mentality." I feel they need some customer service training, "you catch more flies with honey then with vinegar." My advice to someone who has cruised before is to never downgrade on your cruise. We made the best of it because we cruised with a group of 14 people and despite some of the inconsistencies and we overlooked some things and had a good time. Read Less

We've been enjoying cruise with R. C. We had good experiences and wanted to come back to cruise with R.C. Dinning service is excellent, Mr. Gabbrial and Avelino (spelling) were the best ones I've ever experienced on cruise. They were courteous, efficient, patient, they served us with great respect and went beyond their call of duty. They represented R. C. employees so well, we even gave them extra tips to thank them for their best service for the four nights we had dinner on cruise (My Fair Lady). The ship is a little small but it has very thing I would like to enjoy on a cruise. Again, the service overall is very good, and the service is what brings me back to R. C. The entertainment is just okay, the singers were not that good to my expectation. But the Cruise Director, Michelle was excellent. Overall I had good experience and would come back to R.C. This was our first cruise on Royal Caribbean. We have cruised many times on Carnival, MSC and NCL and this rated as the worst. We didn't expect much from an older boat with a short itinerary but were disappointed with the lack of friendliness and service. We understand after cruising as much as we have that the better employees typically bid for the bigger boats but it seemed generally that many of the staff simply didn't want to be there. We had a party of 10 and all of us had the ultimate beverage package. When ordering drinks either at the pool bar or inside, there was rarely a thank you or even many times eye contact at all. Service was fair to poor other than the cabin steward Ivan who was exceptionally friendly and the main dining room servers Joseph and Hannah who were also exceptional. I came on the boat with a lower expectation than I would have on any NCL boat or the larger RCL boats but was still disappointed. Hopefully we caught them on a bad week. Read Less

Weekend cruise - overall not positive experience. the room was weathered and worn No amenities in mini bar Rust all over in bathroom Tissues non existent. Room Attendant was best ever. Love cruising but this was a huge disappointment to us. We have travelled with RCCL; Celebrity and Azamara and never have we seen a room that was so weathered and of serious need of repair as we have seen with this cruise. Rust and patches were evident and the inside of the drawers were very unpleasant to have to put things into it. The individuals servicing the Starbuck, Icecream area was less than pleasant as were the individuals that were in the Windjammer restaurant. The saving grace was Gabriel at My Time Dining. Our experience for our excursion was awful - it took us 30-45 minutes to wait for a tender with no advance information as to needing to get on line on the 4th floor. We rented beach chairs and canopy. The last time we rented them we were given water and fruit and a floating mat. This time nothing. Trams were nonexistent when we needed to eat or return to the ship when we were told that they come by every 10 minutes. Just overall disappointing experience. Will consider different cruise line in the future. Read Less

Average experinece in royal carribean: for exploring the island of bahamas and experience the serive of royal carribean. However , the vegeterain food option on board was very poor in comparison to other asian cruise lines like star cruises. The entertainment options inlcuding shows were also average in my opinion. I would highly recommend any travellers not to get fooled in to buying beverage packages and i personally belive that after charging the customers for the cruise the intention of royal carribean should not be to milk these customers in to buying and paying for services like beverage, 9even non - alcholic ones) internet . The rates for off shore excursion was also seemingly prohibitive. In fact the porter service at the pier was in bad taste and most of the porters were not very well behaved. There was no senior ofiicial from royal carribean to hlp the customers.i seriously feel royal carribean neess to have a re look at the pioints mentioned by me. Read Less

Disembarking for the carry-on luggage group was disorganized and not well run. The dining room wait staff and the the food was outstanding. The Windjammer food is second rate and the Italian foods are terrible. They need a better Italian chef and help. Seating when embarking is a disaster. Food was not very good there. We chose this cruise for our honeymoon based on the ports of call and were very happy with our experience. The ports were great, the length was perfect, great staff, good food, and great variety of things to do aboard the ship and off! We're exploring our next cruise now! There were indications that the cruise ship was older, as rust is visible and some aspects are worn but it didn't have any real impact on our experience. The windows at breakfast (Windjammer) weren't clean and had gnats in the corners of them. Totally ruined the breakfast experience, BUT this was a minor issue as we simply relocated. If there were any recommendations for improvement, this would be one of ours. Additionally, I would have loved more seafood options at each meal. Being on the ocean and around water, had our expectations high for seafood options. That was a little disappointing. Otherwise, our first experience as pleasant and set the standard for our future cruise experiences. Read Less
