RIPPED OFF AND HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED, DO NOT CRUISE

Do not i repeat, do not book an norwegian/oceana cruise. You have been warned we are on the around the world cruise currently. the cruise is 196 days from miami florida to new york. It is utterly a complete disappoint. If i was to write every disappointment, we have experienced up to now it would be 10 pages. We are going to try to condense it. First, they advertises the best cuisine at sea. That ...

The ship provided the minimum required. Compared to preCOVID cruises it appears cost cutting was the most important part of the ships operation.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

We needed a transatlantic ride to the Greek Islands, where we disembarked. Cabin care was excellent. The steward worked 24/7, which indicates low staffing. Fixed time dining service was excellent. The wait staff were in rapid motion all evening, again low staffing. Breakfast and lunch in the dining room was quite poor. The staff seemed to have little knowledge of American and British ...

Disappointing

This was a crossing that lasted 23 days. We chose it largely for the ports. Unfortunately we were closed out of several due to Covid or weather. I understand weather as a reason for not docking, but I don't get the poor transparency. We all had to jump through the Bermuda protocol hoops prior to embarkation but then we didn't go there- likely due to folks not understanding the protocols. ...

The most relaxing cruise we've ever taken

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Viking Star

We wanted to experience six uninterrupted days at sea to unwind and enjoy the food, the lectures, and the ambiance aboard ship. Viking didn't fail us - it was the best experience we've ever had cruising. We particularly enjoyed the fascinating lecturers with topics ranging from World War II Atlantic submarine warfare, to Antarctic explorers, to world-class ocean rowing; first-run movies each ...

We are incredulous about the service on this ship: friendly, attentitive, and conscientious. Each person we see greets us warmly and with authenticity. The waiters learn your names within a day or two and treat you like royalty. After five days of being at sea, there is no let up in the attention to detail and graciousness. The food is generally quite good; the sushi bar is excellent and ...

We have sailed transatlantic six times, this was the best experience in many ways. The five lecturers kept us busy two or three times s day with history, ecology and sports talks. Athens crew was friendly, helpful, professional, informal, consistant. The food was excellent in all venues. There is no extra charge for the two specialty restaurants, The public spaces are comfortable with many ...

I chose this cruise because it left from Miami where I live. The ship is beautiful and is keep extremely clean in all areas. Service in all area were polite, pleasant and happy to help in any way needed. I was a single traveler so my cabin was quite comfortable. For two people I think the drawers are not adequate.Shower was exceptional hot water whenever needed. The Manfredi's restaurant was the ...

Still the Best Ship at Sea

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

This was our forth Explorer cruise which pretty much shows how much we love this ship. We have sailed over 350 nights on Regent (on all the ships) and find the Explorer the top of the line. To back up a bit, we flew to Miami from Vancouver, B.C. using our own air and took the air credit. We flew American Airlines which is a mediocre airline at best but it did get us there. We also took the ...

Transatlantic Cruise March 26 – April 19. Our embarkation in Miami took no more than 10 minutes and we headed for lunch in the Pool Grill. (I later learned that there was a place to check our hand luggage so we wouldn't have to carry it around until our suite was ready). When we got to our suite, the suite door was slightly ajar so we didn't need to fumble with our keycard to get in. Our ...

Impressions of the Regent Explorer based on 24 nights from Miami to Venice, 26 March/19 April 2017 (the second segment, 9-19 April, was the “Regent 25th Anniversary Cruise”) Bottom Line Up Front: If (as impossible as it would be) all of Regent’s ships were doing the same itinerary, we’d choose Explorer, then Voyager, Mariner and Navigator, in order. Explorer because the Big Wins listed below ...
