A truly lovely crossing and so much more on the Costa Mediterranea!

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Mediterranea

Just returned home after our incredibly delightful journey across the Atlantic on the Costa Mediterranea with a few day's post-cruise stay in Trieste, Italy. We began our trip with very low expectations due to most of the recent Mediterranea reviews blasting the "tasteless" food and other problems. Our personal experience was so much the opposite that I almost feel I was on an entirely ...

A LARGE SHIP WITH EFFICIENT FRIENDLY STAFF

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

I had labeled myself as "not a cruise ship person" until I took this cruise on the NCL Epic. What attracted me was the availability of the Studio Cabin design and a way to avoid the usual single supplement charged by most cruise lines for solo travelers. The studio cabins were very well-appointed and had enough storage space if one utilized space under your bed for luggage, etc. The only issue ...

Reflection is Perfection!

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

Having just returned from a week on the Reflection, I have only good things to say about my experience, so if you're looking for major criticism, you'll want to move on! Embarkation - Seamless. I arrived at the port at 11:40AM and was on the ship within 30 minutes. Staterooms are not ready until 1PM, so I enjoyed my welcoming glass of champagne while browsing in the library. Stateroom - I was in ...

Fun, yet expensive

The cruise as a whole was extremely fun, but we avoided doing as much as we would have liked because of prices. We only had one drink a day each (there were 2 of us), and the drinks cost about $20 (together) every time we ordered. It was frustrating that we pre-payed the service charges, yet there was gratuity tacked on to every drink order. We didn't even do enough on the ship that would have ...

We just got home from our first Norwegian cruise line. We have previously sailed on Celebrity. This cruise we were sailing with our 4 children ages 13, 15, 17, and 20, as well as my parents (in their 60's). This was Thanksgiving week so the boat was full. Embarkation was excellent we arrived at 11 am and were on the boat by 11:20 am. The boat is huge. Day one was a bit chaotic. Trying to use the ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Divina

This was the first time on this cruise line and I absolutely loved it. It was the cleanest ship I have ever been on and being an avid cruiser that says alot. Crew was constantly cleaning everything down to using a toothbrush style brush to clean the metal stair runners. Typically I do not go to the shows but being the first time on the Divina I went and sure glad I did. The entertainment was ...

Disney Wonder is Gluten Free Heaven

We boarded the Disney Wonder on Sunday April 27th, 2014. I have celiac disease and I'm very sensitive to cross contamination. My husband and son are also gluten intolerant. We chose this vacation to be our first since I developed my condition 2 years ago. This was based on all the great reviews I read about their handling of allergies. We were not disappointed. I've lived in NYC, Los Angeles, and ...

This was my first cruise, and my moms 6th cruise (5th with Norwegian). It was her first time on the Epic. As a first timer, if I had to make a decision on cruising again, I wouldn't cruise again based on my experience on the Epic. Here is a list of what we did not like: Food: - portions were small, and quality was lacking - too many specialty restaurants you had to pay for and the menu was ...

This was a back to back cruise for 28/01 and 04/02. I have only been on a couple of Princess cruises in the past but found the Celebrity experience just as enjoyable. We arrived in Miami on 27/01 and stayed in the Miami airport hotel for the night after the long flight from Manchester via Philadelphia. The hotel was just okay, I expected the lobby and bar area to be nice relaxing place but it was ...

Enjoyable but unlikely to repeat

Just returned from a 7 day cruise to St. Martin, St. Thomas and Nassau. We were looking forward to experiencing the "super-sized" vessel. We've cruised once on Celebrity to Alaska and then been with NCL in Hawaii, Mexico and Western Europe. Flew into Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood, primarily because of Southwest. Arranged shuttle with SAS who provided superlative service to and from Miami cruise ...
