Many great aspects, but dietary needs acomodations were a big letdown

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Magic

I had a lot of fun overall on the cruise and enjoyed the Rainforest room, spa services, character experiences, and entertainment. My room was very clean and the service was great with the exception of special dietary needs. I am vegetarian and gluten-free (celiac). While the appetizer salads were fantastic, I could not get them to actually serve me a full-sized salad or vegetable meal. I ...

Spring Break Chaos

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Dream

We chose this cruise to have a family vacation during our grandson's Spring Break. So we have always gone to Disney since our children 39 and 37 were young but it has gotten so hectic at the parks we thought we would try a cruise. It is like being in the parks on a packed day! The dining room is so full of tables your servers have trouble bringing your food. If anyone has a disability they are ...

Meh - don’t go unless you’re a die hard Disney fan

Disclaimer: we are not Disney die-hard fans. We were already in Miami and the dates worked for us. We are a family of 4: one adult, one 14 yo and two 10 yo. We originally had whatever is below the 1 bedroom suite and it was VERY small. We were luckily able to upgrade to a 1 BR/2 BA suite on the 11th floor (bedroom closes off, separate seating/dining area plus a gorgeous verandah) as soon as ...

Is it REALLY worth all the extra money

My family and I cruised on the Disney magic for Spring break. This was my 1st Disney cruise, and 8th or 9th cruise overall so I was comparing Disney to Carnival and Royal Caribbean. My kids were 11 and 13 when we first booked this trip, but due to covid, it was postponed for 2 years so they were teenagers on this cruise. We spent over $5000 for our family of 4 to go on a 5 day cruise. I had ...

This was my 2nd Disney cruise and my 3rd time cruising. The last Disney cruise was to Alaska on the Wonder, and it was the best vacation ever! So I made a prepayment and couldn't wait to go on another Disney cruise again. Well, this latest cruise would only rate a 6 out of 10. Avoid rooms that have an adjoining interior door with the neighboring room, such as 1050 and 1052. My neighbors had an ...

Embarkation in Miami a bit rocky, the check in was not well staffed in addition to enormous amount of first time cruisers, everyone confused & slow, slow, slow. Stateroom needed much attention lots of patchwork, shower loose and sprayed water from neck, missing caulking to messy over caulked area's and the noise, you could not get away from it on the 8th deck, do not book an stateroom with a ...

Traveled with family group of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids aged 5-9). Same group traveled to Disney World last October. No issues with embarking from Port of Miami. Cabin rooms were fine, as we knew we would not be spending much time in the rooms. Statesroom attendant (Calvin) was fantastic. Super-friendly - the kids loved the towel creatures he created each day. He also rotated the sheets on the ...

Disney is becoming too greedy !

We wanted our grand kids to be immersed in Disney, meet their characters, and experience a first cruise with this atmosphere. Upon signing up, and of course it is expensive, many limitations (cancellation, per Disney, is not lenient) , it was essentially impossible, from the get go, to obtain tickets for the kids to see characters at 'meet and greet' (aka, a total overkill to obtain profit ). ...

Very different cruising experience

I have cruised with Disney once before, and that experience was a 10 out of 10. But now, 5 years later its a very different experience. We took our cruise during an interesting time, during our trip DCL was hosting some Disney bloggers and those bloggers soured this trip for us. My fiance and I wouldn't normally take a Disney cruise as a solo get away, but due to inheriting some DVC points ...

Decent but definitely overrated

Everyone was telling us how incredible the Disney cruises were, so we paid a premium price to take our daughter (7r old) and took off. It was a good cruise. But nothing to write home about. We've been on Princess twice and those ships were better. Customer Service on the ship and cleanliness are what stands out for Disney. The biggest issue was the pools are ship, layout are small and terrible. ...
