GREAT SHIP AND GREAT SERVICE

Review for a Cuba Cruise on MSC Armonia

The ship is obviously older and doesn't have all the bells and whistles as a new big ship. That, being said, the ship is beautiful and well maintained. We have never been on any ship with such outstanding service all around. The food was fantastic is the dining room and the wait staff and maitre d's were always on top of everything. Even the Captain and his executive staff were always around, ...

This one was the only one that we could find that spent an overnight in Cuba. We also liked that it was a short trip because it was my and my sister's first cruise experience. They had numerous promotions at the time that we booked, which made our experience even better - especially the specialty dining promotion that my husband and I used to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was larger than I ...

First Timer

This was my first cruise. I chose MSC Armonia due to the itinerary and I am so glad that I did. The moment we stepped foot on the cruise ship, everybody seemed to be smiling and happy and the crewmembers were very helpful. We had one little hiccup, which was our drink vouchers. When we booked our cruise, it was under the “Fantastica” which included a book voucher for 12 free drinks. We did not ...

Not up to standards in Miami

Review for a Cuba Cruise on MSC Armonia

I’ve traveled on MSC Divina out of Miami and loved it, I can honestly say that MSC brought a new level of elegance to cruising in south Florida, but the Armonia is just not up to the standards that Miami cruisers are use to. Even the cheaper Carnival lines out of this port are better. The air conditioning didn’t work for 2 days Not just in our room but all the rooms in our section. The ship ...

Headaches in more than one way

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Norwegian Sky

I chose this Cruise because I needed Four Points to achieve Platinum Status. This Cruise went to Cuba. I was on the Breakaway one day before I boarded the sky. The Breakaway put a hold on a lot of money, boarding the sky, the money was still under a hold. I could not spend any money on the sky. Guest Services was not helpful, they refused to ask NCL corporate to send a settlement statement to ...

I did read the reviews but I choose this cruise because of it’s Cuba itinerary. Most Americans reviews don’t like MSC because it’s too European. While I find that to be the same for me, there was other negatives which were more for my experience. These negatives were the following: Food (worse cruise food ever and I have been on a lot of cruises). They had the same items for every meal time at ...

short quick cruise. one day in havana, one day at sea, one day at stirrup cay. Havana was GREAT, arranged a third party tour and spent all day in Havana and night at Tropicana. Tropicana show was ok, all in spanish, all the music sounded the same to me. Was about 2 hours, but could have been much shorter for me. Didnt do Stirrup Cay, it rained nearly all day there so we missed it but we did ...

We have cruise 50 plus times on various lines (Carnival, RC, Princess, Cunard, Celebrity, Costa) and this will be our first on MSC. We were a little apprehensive about MSC after reading reviews and this being one of the oldest ships in the fleet. However all that went away as we checked in for our cruise. We arrived early at the port around 10:30am(we had an early flight). Check in was fast ...

I decided to take this cruise to see Cuba. I had already been on the Sky before it went into dry dock for a refurb. It was good to see they made some changes, and some I did not like as much. My cabin was clean, but the shower was horrible. It went from ICE cold to BOILING hot all the time while in use. Many areas of the public space have been changed since the refurb. They moved the Piano ...

Never MSC again

We chose this cruise line for the itinerary. But that did not make up for the terrible experience we had before and during the cruise. We had many smaller issues, but I'll stick with the three biggest. #1 - I paid for the cruise upfront, but MSC didn't book me that way and I didn't notice they hadn't charged my credit card. Shortly before the cruise they emailed that they had canceled our ...
