Cruise every winter and after a couple of disappointing cruises on NCL and RC decided to upgrade a little to Princess and Celebrity. Chose this cruise based on excellent deal on line, plus ports. Have done 2 other cruises on Celebrity. Generally an older crowd; a few families Overall very pleased: Crew - exceptionally friendly and service oriented Food - generally excellent. We purchased a dining package that we felt was worth it due to excellence of food and unrushed meals. Skip QSine unless you like creative things and have at least 4 people; Murano and Tuscan Grille were excellent. Regular dining ok except last night was rushed. Ports - St Maarten is a new hotspot and is exceptionally well done; handles lots of ships easily. St Kitts was new to us but was also excellent Arrived too late for PR Tours - Very high seas caused most to be cancelled but the usual stuff is available normally Shows - 1 excellent comedian, 1 so so; good production shows with forgettable music; Beatles imitators very good. Cabin excellent (balcony) My only complaint was not Celebrity's fault but we wound up spending 5 of 7 days at sea, a couple w/o pool. Also seems like everything costs more; forgettable wines at $40 Read Less

Ship: This was our first Celebrity cruise and we had high expectations based on reviews. Overall, it met our expectations. There was a better mix of people (few young families, large amount of middle age couples and some older people) than a more upscale cruise line we sailed before. Embarkation was well organized and quick. The ship was very clean, easy to find our way around, and mostly friendly crew. We did feel crowded at times. On nice days it was packed on the outdoor decks with no chairs to be found. Also, the tiny dance floor in the atrium wasn't sufficient for the number of passengers who wanted to dance. Blind Vinyl, the band, was outstanding by the way. Dining: The food in the buffet, main dining room, and specialty restaurants was always delicious. We wish the main dining room had been open for lunch more often though. The Mast Grill was the same food every day (hot dogs, hamburgers, fries). Service: We were happy with the service in all areas of the ship except the person handling specialty dining. He was not friendly or helpful at all and even rude to my husband. One other recommendation was they need to work harder at cleaning up used glasses and plates from the pool area and Sunset Bar. When it was windy, glasses were falling over and rolling around on the deck. Several times we picked up other's glasses and took them to the bar ourselves. Entertainment: We thoroughly enjoyed the shows, especially one of the comedians and the Beatles group. We do wish the game shows were done in a larger venue as you had to get there very early to get a seat. The shows were fun though. Cabin: We were in a concierge level cabin on deck 10. The room was very comfortable and adequate space. We liked the extra storage over the bed. The shower in the bathroom was pretty small though. Don't plan on bending over to shave your legs! Read Less

Have sailed on RCCL, Celebrity and Holland America 5 times each. Chose Celebrity due to mid size ship with adult solarium, chance to stop at a new port for us - St. Kitt's and the fact it had several sea days. Stellar service and ship. Rocky seas for 2+ days curtailed ability to enjoy balcony, pool or walking around ships deck and necessitated taking meds for sea sickness. Ship was delayed docking in San Juan until about 6:30 pm and then left at 10 pm. Cruise director Sue fantastic, comic Robbie Prince hilarious. Musical numbers average. With so many sea days (ended up being 4+), deck seating was an issue. So many cruisers come down at 6 am or so and block off chairs - many one in shade and one in sun. Almost impossible to find 2 seats together and very hard to police. Our biggest disappointment is the now high cost of specialty restaurants (unless a high tier cruiser), venues exclusive to suite and high tier guests only and resulting exclusionary status. Read Less

We really did have a great time and if it weren't for the fact that we've cruised on Celebrity multiple times before and are aware of some perks that they've taken away recently, I would have rated this a 5-star experience. The staff was outstanding, the cleanliness was impressive, the food was great, and really everything went very smoothly. The entertainment was good although I would have liked to see a bit more variety in the shows rather than just the Celebrity cast, the comedian, and the singer. Other ships have had more unique shows that we couldn't stop talking about (like jugglers, ventriloquists, magicians, or talents you've never even heard of). On the down side, all of those in our group who were experienced with Celebrity noticed a list of perks that were missing from previous cruises: *no more free sushi in the buffet - it's now only at "Sushi on five" at a-la-carte pricing *no more food sculptures or food art anywhere onboard throughout the cruise *no more special event nights on the pool deck (like the chocolate fountains and food art) *no more linen tablecloth set-up on the balcony with room service *no more towel animals in the stateroom *significant reduction in higher-end liquor availability Now, none of these lost perks are deal breakers by any means and like I said, we all still really enjoyed the cruise. My guess is that they've made cuts to some things in order to offer so many all-inclusive drink package "specials" where basically all guests are now able to get the basic drink package for free when booking. So, that's a reasonable trade-off. Guests (including myself) are probably simply willing to have fewer of those perks if it means unlimited drinks. If that's the case, I can't really blame them :-) Read Less

Cabin crew great! Restaurants great! Loved Q sine , Marano, Opus. Coordination of Costco cooking special cruise was terrible. Not enough music at the bars. If you asked for it it was background music they would turn on then off? Sunset bar would have been nice to hear it, there was a Dj for a hour I think one day we caught. To much extra costs now? Had a defective necklace card holder twice and would refund it? Coffee shop was great and like the idea of coffee on 7 but they didn't tell anyone about it? It was terrible changing the arrival times at the ports (Key West) people missed there excursions they booked on there own? The lawn section was always roped off so you couldn't enjoy it? I guess they rent out those lawn chairs sections? why have it and advertise it if you can't use it? Hoping the Equinox had changed to that or this is my last Celebrity cruise I didn't rebook? The price was right for us on this cruise as we took the go best (4 perks). We spent some extra on the specialty restaurants. The entire cruise ship staff and the cruise director Sue were really very good. We were also fans of the food in all the venues we tried. We did a future booking and will remain loyal to Celebrity. We would recommend this ship. Great highlights were: Tuscan Grill Grillmasters event at Lawn club The Porch Martini bar Cozumel - beautiful hot sunny day Key West always nice Cruise ship staff (very good) Beautiful ship Food was very good everywhere Sunset bar (FUN) Liars club show The minor flaw: Ocho rios dock (Carnival ship got the better dock) Read Less

Just a short note to say we had a very enjoyable cruise. Celebrity continues to have our loyalty. The food was very good. I even had a steak one night in the main dining room that was as nice as the one in the Tuscan Grill earlier that week... so that is really saying something! As good as the food was, our main complaint always is with how horribly uncomfortable the main dining room chairs are. We even saw some cruisers bringing the sofa cushions from their cabins, to give their backs a little support. Our cabin was great, steward was thorough and dependable. Always well stocked with toiletries and towels. Cabin was close proximity to the elevators. LOVED that new addition of a LaVazza coffee station in The Hideaway on level 7! We made good use of this! Only 2 small things, not deal breakers -- we didn't find the live music to be as good as we have enjoyed on previous sailings. It wasn't bad... we just found we weren't as eager to find the performers on the timetable and follow them to see them all week. Plus we did not enjoy the pier area in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at all! Otherwise a perfectly fabulous vacation! Read Less

Celebrity Reflection is amazing. Excellent service, entertainment, food, shore excursions and activities. This was our first Celebrity cruise and we were pleased. The only criticism we have is that we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. We chose a night to celebrate, marked it on the registration form, etc. Nothing happened that evening. We stopped at guest relations to ask what happened. The attendant looked through our records and acknowledged that there had been an oversight. She guaranteed us that they would help us celebrate that evening at the Opus. (Dinning Room) This did not happen. We were disappointed. Special recognition goes to the singers, dancers and aerialists in the cast. What a talented group! Also, Sue, our cruise director did a fantastic job of keeping us informed. Thanks Sue! Katalina, a Casino dealer, was amazing. My husband did a bit of gambling Katalina was our dealer two times, yet, when she passed us in another area of the ship she remembered our names. That made us feel special. Read Less

Our TA suggested that we try Celebrity (after cruising NCL exclusively for the past 15 years!). We are so glad that we took her advice - as suite passengers on NCL we know how special that experience can be. On Celebrity our suite experience so far exceeded our expectations that we have two more cruises booked on the same Ship. Our S1 cabin was large, comfortable and our cabin attendant and butler went above and beyond to be sure that we have everything that we needed. We loved Michael's Club (the suite lounge) and enjoyed having easy access to the two concierge(s). Complementary beverages in Michael's Club were available at anytime - both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. The musical nights in Michael's Club were an enjoyable way to relax before dinner while enjoying our beverage of choice. The ship itself was immaculately clean and the crew that we interacted with (including maintenance, cabin stewards, bar servers, etc) were genuinely friendly and always first to say good morning with a smile. We had a package that included tips and when we check our bill on the tv the tips where added to our bill. So it took me 5 times going to the front desk.and we also had drinks on our bill that shouldn't have been on there. We had to had them removed but if we didn't check we would have been charged. All else was great the room size was plenty. We have been on the ship 6 times so we know the ship well. They did change our dining package where the didn't include lunch in the specialty restaurants which was a little let down. We would book again with Celebrity and love Reflection. Celebrity is our favorite mass marketer. Our loyalty has provided perks via our status so we prefer to stay with a company who values our patronage. This ship provides excellent utilization of space, harmonious furnishings (but rather weird, meaningless photography on the walls), acceptable food (but changes just from one year to the next are obvious in quality and quantity as well as lack of servers/waiters, etc.) Our room steward was excellent and, for the most part, service in Blu and, on the one occasion we lunched in the main dining room, was good as the staff worked hard to cover a larger share of tables than they could handle with excellent care. Embarkation and disembarking were both smooth. Entertainment on this voyage was better than I've seen in a long time on a ship, with production numbers that weren't "tired" or monotonous, but had edge, talented performers, the aerialists, really funny comedians and a couple of acceptable musical performances. We wanted 14 days so decided to do a back to back. But we won't do it again as most of the shows were the same. We only had two entertainers that were different from the first week. But our cruise experience was excellent. Fabulous room steward and an excellent waitress in the dining room. This was the fastest luggage delivery that we have ever experienced and our cabin was always immaculate. We found the food in the main dining room to be excellent and the service we received was stellar. Our waitress totally pampered us and always steered us right with her food suggestions. She remembered the names of all 8 people in our group even when we would see her in the ocean view. We found all the staff we encountered to be very courteous with only one exception and that was our first week on Valentines Day in the Qsine. The music was so loud that we couldn't hear the waiters or each other and when we asked politely if it could please be turned down we were told no. Other tables also complained and one group got up and left. However the meal itself was excellent and we didn't let it deter from our overall cruise experience. Read Less

We have only sailed on Celebrity and love it! We just returned from the Eastern Caribbean and had a wonderful time with friends that we met a few years ago on another Celebrity Cruise. The Reflection is our favorite ship; it is also the newest in the Celebrity line. Our cabin, 8285, was in the perfect location, mid ship, and just behind the elevators for easy access without a lot of walking down the hallway. We always ask for this location and we like deck 8. Embarkation and disembarkation was smooth with no waiting. We met our friends as soon as we boarded and we were greeted with a glass of Champagne. Our balcony cabin was spacious and very clean. Dining in the main dining room was good, but we like to eat in the Ocean View a few nights for variety. The entertainment on the Reflection was fantastic as was Sue, the activities director. She made everything more fun and is very talented herself. We will continue to sail on Celebrity because we have never had a bad cruise and think it is a quality line. The ports are not that important to us as we have been to all of them a number of times. In all, another perfect cruise with Celebrity Read Less

This is the third cruise we have taken on Celebrity Reflection and the first where we had a suite. We sailed on Reflection when she was about a year old, then again in 2016. The Reflection does not show much wear and tear. It still looks relatively new. We usually book Aqua class, but decided to upgrade to Suite 2181 so we could try Luminae instead of Blu. Frankly, I don't think there was a huge difference. The food in Blu was, in my opinion, always quite good and likewise in Lunimae. The dining room in very nice and elegant and the service was superb. The food was good, but certainly not as good as the for fee restaurants. We had great meals in both Tuscan Grill and Lawn Club Grill. The lunch menu in Luminae is always the same, quite limited and only available on sea days. The dinner menu varied every night, but a couple of nights I didn't care for any of the options, so they let you order from the main dining room menu if you wish. We only ate in the buffet once for lunch as I dislike buffets. As usual, the venue is packed at lunch with people literally tripping over you to get food-like they are going to run out! The shows were about average, some good, some awful. We walked out on the comedian/impersonator as neither of us thought he was entertaining or funny. A couple of the production shows and were fairly good. The Tenors of Rock were great. It was nice having reserved seating for the suite guests. The Sky Suite was quite a bit larger than a standard balcony stateroom by about 100 square feet. That gives you a much larger bathroom with bathtub/rainfall showerhead and lots of storage. I thought it was awkward getting into and out of the tub as the side is very high. There is a huge amount of storage in the cabin, large TV and upgraded balcony furniture. We never had a butler before and I'm not sure what to think. He really did not do much for us, but then we really didn't ask much of him either. He seemed pleasant enough. Our room attendant was awesome. I think it will hard to go back to the smaller Concierge cabin we booked for an Alaska cruise in August. My only real gripe about the entire cruise is lack of deck chairs. We had 3 sea days. On the second sea day, I got out to the deck about 7 am to get a couple of lounge chairs in the sun and even at that time there were literally no seats left around the pool. Hardly anyone was sitting in them, but they were all "occupied". They really need to do something about enforcing the rules about saving chairs. Read Less

This was our second time of Celebrity Reflection and we still rank it near the top of ships we have cruised on. First of all, we love new ships and even though the Reflection has been around since 2012, it remains in great shape for being almost five years old. Read recently that it is going in for a refubishment sometime this fall. We are not sun lovers so our favorite place on the ship is the solarium which offers a covered pool and quiet surroundings free of the noise and sometimes crazy happenings on the pool deck. The food was above average...sometimes my wife who is a picky eater, had a difficult time finding an entree, but could usually combine some appetizers. We chose anytime dining so we could eat when ever, but we usually got there right at 5:30 so we were guaranteed a window table. The stateroom was in great shape and was kept immaculate. We saw several shows, two comedians and three stage production, all excellent. The house band was the highlight...played a good mixture of new an old. The casino was deserted most of the time...I love the slots, but have learned to avoid ship casinos!. Beware of lounge chairs hogs. We saw several incidences of people putting down towels and personal stuff and leaving for more than 30 minutes...a no no! The ports on this cruise didn't really interest us that much. This was more of an R and R trip for us and other that walking off the ship to do a little shopping, I can't say much about the port highlights. Embarkation and Disembarkation were smooth and fast. Crew throughout the ship were friendly and always greeted you. This was our first time getting conciege level service and don't think we would do it again...the benefits are not that great to warrant the increased cost. We are booked on the Reflection this fall for an east to west transatlantic and are looking forward to the journey. Read Less

I always sail with Celebrity and this was a great quick trip to get out of the Northeastern February winter. I booked this cruise on board during my last trip - so I got the GoBetterBest promotion - which was a nice perk. After four years at sea the Reflection is holding up very well. All public spaces are beautifully maintained and the stateroom was spotless. The crew is as attentive as ever. This Eastern Caribbean trip was out of Miami where the embarkation was flawless. Due to a flight delay, I arrived at the terminal at 1:00 - so there was no line, no waiting, no problems. Excellent start! My suitcase arrived before dinner. Have you ever heard of such a thing?! I was able to change clothes and freshen up before dinner! Luminae, as always, was very nice. The menu hasn't changed since my last cruise so there were no surprises with the cuisine. I was surprised, however, at the raucousness and merriment of the guests this trip. I like to dine in Luminae because it's quiet, I dine alone, and I like to read while I eat. This time it was not possible. And I don't begrudge others having fun, it was just surprising to run into boisterous groups at 6:00 in the evening. What I did mind was being told by the maître 'd that he didn't think he could accommodate me on the second "casual chic night" because it was "lobster night and we are very very busy. It will be hard to find a table for one, would you like to dine in your room?" Now THIS was inappropriate. As a guest sailing alone - having booked a Sky Suite for the amenities and having paid DOUBLE for the privilege - I was insulted that it was being suggested that I eat alone in my room. What the hell is so great about frozen lobster night? This really upset me. Sailing alone is hard and costly. So, I availed myself of the concierge in Michael's Club. Denny said it was very nice of them to offer to send dinner to my cabin (really?!), but tried, nonetheless, to book me a table at Murano. He couldn't get through and frankly was not helpful at all. He did suggest I eat at Sushi on Five (more frozen fish) and bring him the receipt for reimbursement. Now I was even more upset. Imagine sailing on this vast ship through the Caribbean Sea and not having a place to eat on "lobster night". I returned to Michael's and retold this story to Alex, who was understanding and sympathetic. He managed to "squeeze me in" at Tuscan Grille. This whole incident was really upsetting and I hope that Celebrity will think about making some concessions for solo travelers. Or at least sensitivity training for the managerial staff. I did not return to Luminae for the last two nights of the cruise. I am a member of the Blue Chip Club - so I enjoy the Fortunes Casino. On this ship, for some reason, the slots are old and the variety is wanting. I was surprised to see so many three-reel slots and very few video slots. It was a disappointment. On the other hand, Angel, the casino host, was a total delight. He was charming and engaging and a bright spot in a dull room. I applaud him and his excellent energy and dedication. The gym needs to be cooler. A body benefits greatly from exercise and weight training in a cooler room. The facility could use a little tune-up: some cardio machines were out-of-order, the mats are worn, and there is only one foam-roller. We patiently waited our turn to roll out our aching muscles. I almost bought a few more in San Juan to donate to the cause. I must mention Hilario the butler. Hilario is a gentleman and an excellent staff member. He was attentive and gracious and I hope our paths cross again. Denny and Alex, the Michael's concierges, were fun, engaging, and very good at what they do. I was, however, put-off by Denny's indifference on the night of my dining debacle. But overall, they were a bonus to the sailing. The cruise in general was without incident. The seas were calm and the sun was shining. The one day that it rained, it came and went. Disembarkation was a breeze. There was a slow-moving line, but once you got off the boat it was quick to go through customs. And I was at the airport two hours before my 11:00 flight. Read Less

This was an extraordinary ship. First and foremost it is quite literally a floating art gallery. I assume this is a common theme throughout all of the Celebrity fleet, but this is the only Celebrity ship I have been on. At every corner and every turn the ship is outfitted with modern art of every form from crazy sculptures to fancy paintings. The service probably stood out more than anything. It was truly impeccable. The food was almost as good. All of the areas of the ship are kept clean and neat. Was not a huge fan of the ports of call but hey, I chose this cruise and where it went. Only complaints would be the live music selections were a little slow and they didn't really have too much in the way of fun and party music. My gf and I are in our early 30's and we wanted a cruise that did not have a million screaming kids. Well this ship certainly did not, but the average was still above 60 and very few people wanted to drink and dance the night away. Another con, finding somewhere to lounge by the pool during the day, they have very limited space and everyone is out there. Overall, 4.7/5. Read Less

Celebrity has done it again! Beautiful ship, great cruise. We arrived in Miami Friday for our Saturday cruise, and spent the night at the Intercontinental Hotel. Had a great room on the 22nd floor with a wonderful view of the cruise port. Short ride to the ship the following morning. Arrived at a popular time, but the line moved quickly, and we were soon onboard sipping champagne. We were in Aqua class 2106, great cabin, centrally located with an excellent cabin steward, Hubert, who took excellent care of us throughout the week. We chose Aqua class primarily because of our past experience in Blu on other cruises, and we were not disappointed. The food was wonderful, and service was very attentive. Our waiter, I Ketut and his fabulous assistant were true professionals. They had excellent daily suggestions and offered items available in other restaurants as well. We will miss our new friends Mila, Wulam, and Umesh from Blu. A new bar, the world Class Bar has a limited, but wonderful menu of specialty drinks. It was fun to try new things we could never recreate at home. The bartenders there were fabulous also, very friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the many talented musicians and vocalists throughout the ship, really the best we have ever seen on a ship. The cruise director, Sue Denning, was also incredibly talented and a lot of fun. She brought the house down with her one woman show, and had us rolling in the aisles at Celebrity's version of the Newlywed game. It is amazing what people will share to win a tee shirt! I have never seen more talented and hardworking cruise director who clearly loves her job. Our favorite port was Labadee. Perfect beach day, with great food and service. Read Less

This was out third Cruise with Celebrity. The ship was The Reflection. We booked specifically based on past experiences and have recommended to numerous people over the years. For this particular trip, our group consisted of 9 total. Two families, 4 adults and 5 children aging from 8-13. For the purposes of this review, I would like to highlight that we are very low maintenance travelers. However, when spending a large amount of money on such a trip as this you do expect a level of service. Positives: Our cabin steward was wonderful. He was very attentive, always smiling and helpful to every request. Our room was always clean (despite the clutter of a family of 4 in a single cabin). Our main dining room staff was helpful and friendly (Waiter, sommelier, assistant server). By the second night, they knew all our names, came quickly with our preferred drinks and recommended excellent dinner options. They went above and beyond to entertain the kids and make everyone happy. Overall cleanliness of the ship is good. Room for improvement: While there were a handful of extremely nice crew members as previously mentioned, the overall friendliness can be improved. Not sure if they are just overworked, or tired of dealing with people, but some of the bartenders and members of the Ocean Café are less than friendly. I felt like I was bothering them when politely asking for eggs or a drink. The pool area is small. During sea days it’s a nightmare. Trying to find a chair is impossible. People set out towels at the crack of dawn to claim a spot. The towels can sit there all day without use but won’t be removed. The ship included a large lawn area which we believe was a total waste of space. No one was ever utilizing this area and it consumed at least 1/3 of the deck. This space could be used for additional lounging area, another pool or more recreational activities. Big Negatives: Kids entertainment: The kids club was constantly closing. Celebrity claimed this was due to lack of participation. Trust me I get that there happen to only be 52 kids of 3008 passengers on this trip, but we still paid for our kids to be entertained. Our group of 5 kids repeatedly went to the kids club to participate in the scheduled activities to only be turned away by a closed sign. We were also given a very hard time about the kids being together despite signing off multiple permission forms. If you plan on brining the kids, I would confirm with Celebrity prior to the trip how many are expected on board. Website: Celebrity’s website for booking excursions and dinners pre-trip is terrible. I was on the phone with Celebrity multiple times regarding this issue. Although we pre-booked a standing 8PM dinner reservation each night (assured by Celebrity personnel), we showed up the first night to no reservation. Damaged luggage: Upon receiving our luggage in the cruise terminal after the trip, we found the back of two of our suitcases torn through. As we were being pushed through customs, we immediately took images of the damaged luggage. We sent this issue to Celebrity upon our return. After much argument with Celebrity, they finally offered what they called “a meet in the middle”. This was a $175 on-board ship credit on a future booking. This is extremely disappointing considering we have spent over $15K with this line. Make sure you report any damage to luggage before leaving their terminal and hope you have some type of insurance otherwise you will be out of luck for their caused damage. Read Less

Following a week in the Florida Keys, this Reflection sailing fit in very well with our schedule. After a pleasant drive from Marathon, we were able to drop our rental car and still have plenty of time to get to the ship. Embarkation was one of the best I have experienced. Slightly over a half hour "door to door". The only other Celebrity ship I have been on is the Summit. While the Reflection is much newer and in some ways nicer ship than the Summit, I think purely from a size perspective I prefer the Summit size boat. 2000 versus 3000 passengers that is. At one port we were beside the Oasis of the Seas. With 6000 on board I would guess that you would need to get up at 4am to secure a lounge chair by the pool. On the Reflection the same prevails, at least on sea days. Chair Hogs arrive early, stake out their chairs and disappear for hours. At some point I would think that the cruise lines would realize they are annoying more passengers by allowing this practice to continue than they would if they enforced the policy. Regarding food, we had select dining. Unlike on some prior cruises, we tended to go to dinner at 5:30 because we learned that at 5:30 we could get a table for 2 by a window. Any time later, you can request a window but you get what is available. Request "Alexander By The Window" on the port side of deck 4. Opus food was quite good if not memorable. The Lawn Club. On the first night Celebrity was offering 30% off specialty dining so we opted for The Lawn Club. I would not pay extra again for this at 70% or 100%. Very limited menu along with a self-serve salad bar. The Porch. I would recommend this ($30 up charge pp) only if you go early and enjoy the sunset view. There are only a few tables and you have much more room between tables than at Opus. Absent the sunset it is not $30 better than Opus. Entertainment. For the first time ever we went to entertainment every night. We particularly enjoyed the individual entertainers. A.J. Jamal was great. Tenors of Rock were good. If I were to do this cruise again, I would avoid like the plague the two "production" numbers Elysium and Broken Strings. Thought Sue to tour director was good. She also put on a good show of her own one evening at 10:30. Martini Bar. Glad we had a premium drink package. The bartenders are amazing as are the martinis. Quibbles. Whoever is in charge of the music played at the Sunset Bar should be fired. Never, on any cruise, have I heard such annoying music for so long. One screeching Whitney Houston-like song after another. Nothing festive. Nothing Caribbean. The only respite was an occasion DJ. Tapes of the house band, Blind Vinyl, would be a huge improvement. Falmouth Excursion. The Blue Hole excursion was way overpriced. Cost more than our prior two excursions combined and was less enjoyable. Unless you enjoy being in a bus 4 out of 7 hours. Something that isn't pointed out in the excursion description. Wifi is fast with a strong signal Read Less

Embarkation: very smooth, not a lot of waiting - we got to Port of Miami at 10AM and were on the ship before noon. It definitely helps to get there early; the Port really filled up by about 11:30. Ship: Reflection is an absolutely gorgeous ship, decorated very tastefully and laid out such that it was rare to find ourselves stuck "in a sea of people." The general atmosphere of the ship is laid back, with passengers who are not looking for a 24 hour party. Cabin: ours was a partially-obstructed Veranda on Deck 6. The obstruction came from the life boats hanging between Deck 5 and Deck 6 and did not bother us much at all. Our cabin was kept spotless by our great Stateroom attendant. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of room for luggage & other belongings to be stowed away. It was a quiet cabin. Dining: For dinner we had the late seating dining in Opus. I would have preferred to not have such a late meal (8:30 PM) but we made the best of it, frequently having a tiny "pre-dinner" snack in the Oceanview Cafe between 5 and 6 to tide us over. The dining room experience itself was very nice; our head waiter was a gem and the food was as good as we were led to expect it to be. We had all other meals (breakfast, lunch) at the OCV minus one breakfast we took at the Opus. I really loved the OCV for the variety of offerings, the quality of the food and the general atmosphere. The one downside is that I am a rather fast eater, so if our drink order was taken, the drink often showed up after I finished my meal. Entertainment & Activities: In addition to the nightly shows in the large Reflection theater there was a constant rotation of live musical acts around the ship throughout the day. Service: All service that we received was top notch - nothing but good things to say in this area. Ports & Excursions: Our ports were Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Falmouth & Labadee. We did excursions in Cozumel and Grand Cayman. We enjoyed all of the ports we visited and the excursions which were booked through the cruise line were great; if I had to do it over again I would also have booked something in Falmouth. Labadee of course is the cruise line's private beach area, so it was nice to have just a relaxing beach day at the finish to our cruise. Would definitely sail with X again (in fact, have our next year's cruise already booked!) and would highly recommend a cruise on Reflection to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. Read Less
