Even upgrading to Aqua Class Didn't help. Room service didn't answer the phone!; Canyon Ranch spa was not near as advertised, it was dirty and smelly, and service was non-existent.
Complaints wire answered with: You call room service and just let it ring: what do you expect when there's only one person answering the phone.
Security procedures coming back onboard really killed the moment, ...
Caveat - this was a quick weekend two-day cruise so it's not the same as a longer cruise. But there were some issues that shouldn't have happened on any Celebrity cruise no matter what the length.
Pros - Infinity is due to be revolutionized this year. We were on Summit this year so it was interesting to compare the two. Even though Infinity is worn the public areas looked great. The ship was ...
This was a quick 2-night weekend cruise meant to re-adjust Celebrity's schedule after a "rock and romance" charter. We took advantage of the low rates offered, but it seems Celebrity adjusted their service accordingly (more on the cons in a bit).
Overall Pros: As others have stated, check in was a breeze. Passengers consisted mostly of couples and some friend groups, spanning all ages making ...
We recently took a short, 2 day trip from Miami to the Bahamas on the Celebrity Infinity. Although its an older boat it was in fine physical shape. We were looking for a short, relaxing weekend. However, after a good number of excellent prior Celebrity cruises we were very disappointed. The food in the dining room was very salty. The food in the buffet was very limited in choice, rather ...
Review for 2 day cruise from Miami to Nassau on the Celebrity Infinity, departed February 22, 2020.
Maybe because it was a 2 day cruise everything seemed condensed or abbreviated. We have sailed in 3 stateroom categories with Celebrity – balcony, Concierge and Aqua class. In my opinion, I would just stay with a balcony room UNLESS the cost difference of upgrading is less the 10%.
This 2 ...
Where do I start? We really wanted to like Celebrity, alas it wasn't so. A little background about our cruising history: this was our 6th cruise on 5th cruise line, and first time on Celebrity. Other cruises were on NCL, Princess, RCL, and twice on MSC. We were looking forward to this short weekend cruise on Celebrity Infinity given Celebrity's reputation and accolades. We left thoroughly ...
Hi,
I have to tell you that my mother, myself, and my brother were all VERY disappointed in the cruise. The first night we spent over an hour and a half waiting to play deal or no deal and the game was cancelled. According to the first people we spoke with, we were told that not enough people had signed up. They stated 10-12 people needed to buy into the game so that it could be played. We ...
Went with friends that were cruising for the first time. They wanted the 5 day option.
Started out very rough. The muster drill was inside one of their bars. It was do hot and uncomfortable that several were sweating profusely. We've been on several cruises (several outside) and have never experienced anything like this.
The ship is in need up updating, which we heard will happen in ...
4 night Celebrity Infinity
Flew into Fort Lauderdale on Christmas Day. The reason we chose FLL, was due to the 8:35pm flight, to maximize time with family before heading the the Airport in Toronto. The last flight from YYZ to MIA was ~5pm. Dec 25 is great day to travel as the roads are nearly empty and the airport was also rather empty, but well staffed.
We Ubered (for $125ish ...
First time on Celebrity. Great price. Moved our Diamond status on RCCL to Elite on Celebrity. While the new benefits were so-so, the experience was extensive. I should also say that our Elite status got us to experience Sail away on the helipad, which is accessible only through crew areas. GREAT BEGGING!
Major pluses - food (ice cream, gelato, breads, steaks, soups, variety in OVC aka ...
