Short but Sweet

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

This was a short 5 day cruise to Nassau and Grand Cayman. Our balcony stateroom was on deck 8, by the front stair/lift core, unfortunately without our preferred room layout of the couch by the balcony. We like this class of ship, it has a more contemporary feel to its interior design and the public areas are very spacious. This was a short cruise and it had a much younger clientele with lots of ...

At the last moment we decided to do this cruise after having already booked a cruise on another cruise line that was leaving right after this cruise. We decided to do an ocean view cabin and compare it to a veranda cabin, our typical choice. As always, Celebrity offers a very fine, pleasant experience. We found the art work that decorated the ship to be very muted in tones, but it was fine. ...

First Time on Solstice Class

Had cruised twice on the Constellation and enjoyed the Celebrity experience. Made the mistake of trying NCL for two cruises. Although the Getaway was nice the service and quality were no match for the Eclipse. We have been on many cruise lines and the service and crew were the best on Celebrity. We stayed in an Aqua Class cabin and it was clean, spacious, well stocked with spa quality items ...

5 Terrific Days on Eclipse

Eclipse, Jan 5-10 Pre Cruise: As we live in a cold climate, 1000+ miles from the Port of Miami, we schedule a couple days travel buffer to allow for potential storms which can easily cause a full day travel delay. As no serious travel delays occurred and we ended up having a couple days to begin the relaxation process - perfect! We stayed at a modest hotel (The Croydon) in "Mid-Beach" - ...

My wife and I returned from a (way too short) three day cruise on Celebrity's Eclipse and we cannot say enough good things about the entire experience. We have been on the Millennium and Century before and were both excited to see what the Solstice Class had to offer. Well not only did it offer the great food, service, amenities, and atmosphere that Celebrity is known for, but the pristine ...

Eclipse is 'X'cellent !

These S-Class ships are something else. We have been on the Solstice and the Equinox prior to "kicking the tires" on the Eclipse. Each of these ships has their own personality but the Eclipse we found to be in a class all its own. The art work and decor of the ship was different than its sister ships. The "floating" tree is really an amazing feat of engineering and science. The ...

This was the first cruise from United States for this ship and it showed in service. The ship was immaculate, well appointed, with good passenger flow. There were some dining room growing pains such as waiters not knowing the table locations, maitre d' not at post while attending to issues. Nothing earth shaking, and I'm sure it will be polished as the crew matures. The food was well presented. ...

MOSTLY HITS, BUT SOME F&B MISSES

We arrived around noon, and embarkation was easy. Our Concierge Class stateroom was on the "hump," which afforded us an over-sized balcony. Our stateroom attendant, Desmond, was excellent. The stateroom was roomy, the bedding exceptional, the bathroom large and comfortable. The ship is absolutely breathtaking. The art/architecture throughout the ship is fantastic. The layout, ...
