Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Horizon

Worst cruise we have ever been on. Food is terrible. Worse food I have ever had. Their soda package is terrible. You have to wait at the bars to get a can of soda - sometimes took upwards of 30 mins. Only decent place to get food was at the burger place and the wait there could be upwards of 40+ minutes. Many activities closed very early (8 pm) so not a whole lot to do after hours unless you ...

Carnival Knows Its Audience...But It's Not Me

TL/DR: Enjoyable week on Carnival Horizon, with pros being cruise director, Paradise Beach Club, Production shows, and free food; Cons: buffet food, MDR food, and guests can get rowdy/loud/rude, especially as the week goes on. My wife, daughter and friend (all adults) went on the 6 night Western Caribbean sailing on Horizon out of Miami in March. Overall, we enjoyed the cruise, but left the ...

We enjoyed this cruise so much. This was our 23rd wedding anniversary celebration and trip. When I say that the staff on-board the Horizon not only greet you with a smile, but they also make sure you feel like family and valued guest. From the time we boarded we were asked several questions regarding our diet restrictions and food allergy. They made sure no incidents were going to happen on this ...

We just got off the Carnival Horizon and wanted to share some of our experiences…. The lively ambiance was contagious and the guests and crew seemed happy to be on the ship. Our room was clean and comfortable and evidently, bigger than interior rooms on other cruise ships. The entire ship was new and clean and well maintained. The majority of the workers seemed happy to be on the cruise and ...

MY FIRST BUT NOT MY LAST

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Horizon

This was my very first cruise and I must say that this was the best thing I could have done in my whole life. Don't get me wrong I can swim but I was so against being on what I consider a little boat in a giant pool of water with no bottom. All of that went out the window. I found the staff to be the most helpful, the eateries were great, and the drinks were to die for. But, to add to the extra ...

I chose Carnival Horizon as it offered a good itinerary, was decently new (launched 2017), and was overall good value for the money. Bought ticket on Costco Travel in March and started getting ready from that time on. Some helpful youtube channels were cruise news (e.g. Cruise Radio, The Travel Scouts) and tips from cruisers (e.g. Tips for Travellers, Life Well Cruised). *note: all monetary ...

Best cruise. Loved being in the Havana cabana room

Havana cabanas are a must do. The privacy of your own deck , pool and hot tubs, from all the commotion, of all the people, was just awsome. The bonzi Hibachi grill is so good and so much fun. For 35 dollars a person. There is so much food, you have leftovers to take back to room. The chefs, doing this are so entertaining, and talented. You also need to make reservations before boarding. ...

My first cruise but best vacation ever

My boyfriend booked this for our vacation and his parents booked the same cruise. I had an amazing time from beginning to end personally. We had a balcony room, and it was worth the price to see the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. We also bought the robes which were so soft and comfortable, perfect for napping in after a day docked on shore. The drinks were all amazing, but the bloody Marys ...

The staff was very nice, What I did not like about the ship, The activities were not up to par other wised really boring, ( DJ) SUCKED The elevators are really difficult to get, long waits, This ship is not wheelchair or scooter accessible at all. My family and I cruised for my daughter's 30th birthday. Several of us were first time cruisers and had the time of our life. The ship was beautiful, and the staff was excellent. The entertainment was awesome and so much fun. The food was not the best but was good, however the omelettes' are top notch. I cannot say enough about the cruise director Leon. We love love love him. We are hooked and ...
