Good Ports, Mostly Friendly Employees, Overall Another Good Cruise, But Some Issues Persist

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Horizon

We like to cruise to the Sothern Caribbean in January because we know it will be warm. This was our second time in a Havana Aft Extended Balcony. Outlets were limited to the desk area . Beds were good , closet space was adequate. We were in Cabin 7467, which means another deck below us to absorb the sound of the Havana Bar on deck 5. My sister-in- law was on 6 and could hear the bass and drums ...

We are regular cruisers, this being our 10th. My wife and I are in our 50’s. This was our fifth cruise with Carnival and our first on the Horizon. Embarkation was smooth and quick. Arrived around 12:30pm, on in 10-15 min. Debarkation also easy, we waited until they kicked us off! We had an Inside stateroom on Lido deck, room #10292. Amazing location, quick to everywhere. Good size and ...

Fun Christmas Cruise!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Horizon

We chose this cruise as it was a Christmas sailing and we wanted our children, ages 12 & 14, to experience a Carnival cruise. We've sailed other lines with them before, but this was their first time with Carnival and it did not disappoint. My husband and I had tried Carnival 10 years ago when we sailed for his 40th birthday on the Carnival Paradise, and 10 years later we have to say the food, ...

Enjoyable, memorable experience for everyone including an allergic kid

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

We were cruise virgins and had booked, then cancelled a vacation during pandemic. Carnival had a good deal for the cruise just in time for Christmas break, so we booked the cruise again and had the best time for a week. We traveled with our kids and one of them has all sort of food allergies and has a lot of diatery restrictions. Our cruise maitre de Nitin and his team took very good care of ...

This is my first time on carnival and what a bad experience. I paid for premium internet which didn't work for a few days cause of satellite issues and then it was on/OFF the rest of the cruise. That's what guests service said.also the breakfast buffet was a joke who the hell serves pork and beans for breakfast plus very few items to choose from.the ship looked like no one kept up with it stains ...

Havana Experience? Biker bar meets frat house

We have booked an annual cruise on Carnival since 2010, and we recently completed Carnival's Exotic Southern Caribbean cruise which we had originally booked for June 2020. The ports, food, and entertainment were standard Carnival fare and were enjoyable. We especially enjoyed Bonaire, which offers superb snorkeling in many places right off of the beach. Aruba is also one of the best ports ...

This was my first time on Horizon and my first time taking a cruise in many years after notching several back in the early 2000’s. For my girlfriend it was her first, and since my hiatus was so extended it was essentially two first time cruisers. We had a great time overall and there were no truly glaring issues, just a few minor annoyances that I will detail below. This cruise was the standard ...

Excellent Cruise

We went on this cruise with a group of ten people (5 couples.) The cruise was awesome. We had a balcony cabin. My husband really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. We enjoyed the pools. The Tides pool is a little quieter than the Resort pool, which is where they play music, play games and have a large big screen. Service was excellent in the dining room, bars and pool areas. Whether you eat at a ...

Terrible Ship Poorly Ran

I have been on about 10 cruises and while this ship is nice the design flaws and management are terrible. It was an ultra cruise targeting gamblers (which alot of them are). The Casino was 90 degrees and had no bathroom and no bar. If you wanted to get one of your "free drinks while playing in the casino" you had to hope the bar staff reached you before you passed out from the heat. My first ...

Worst managed ship I've ever been on.

This ship was built for 3,960 guest. After boarding we found that 4,400 guest we on board. Long lines for food, entertainment, not enough lounge chairs and we were enroute to Aruba, for 2 days. After getting back from excursion there was no food. It was a hurry up and wait for anything the entire cruise. Over crowding in the limelight lounge for music and dancing was bad but the they ...
