Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Horizon

My husband booked this cruise for our son’s Spring Break. I have been on numerous cruises before, but it was his first cruise so he was very excited to experience it. We went to the Dominican Republic, Grand Turk, and the Bahamas, and had a magical time zip-lining, horseback riding, shopping, and swimming with sharks. The excursions were perfectly executed and made the experience feel safe and ...

The Carnival product has drastically changed since Covid. Diamond members no longer receive the same benefits as before...Carnival has decreased amenities while other cruise lines have increased amenities for their most loyal guests. the Horizon was supposed to be Wheelchair friendly, but elevators did not work for wheelchair users, the doors to the cabin locked out the automatic door ...

My husband and I have been Carnival cruisers for years and are both Platinum members. We decided to take the plunge and booked a Thanksgiving cruise...after almost 2 years of not cruising. We could not have been happier! Ship is very nice and the crew worked super hard to always keep it extra clean and wiped down. We chose not to take any excursions this time and we just got off the ship and ...

We picked this cruise due to price and destinations. We had not been to the Dominican Republic and the timing of this cruise worked well. We had studied reviews of this ship and felt it would be a good experience. We were interested in knowing if we were required to wear masks and how Covid requirements affected cruising. This is our 14th cruise and we have cruised on NCL, Royal, Celebrity, ...

Thought I shared this review back in November after completing the Carnival survey, but guess I forgot. My favorite cruise so far and will be sailing Horizon again in July. Notes from last trip: This was the best cruise experience that I have ever had. The service was first class. The staff made you feel like their personal friends and family. At nearly every location on the boat that I ...

This is our first cruise since 2019 and so thrilled to be back. On this Horizon cruise, it was just my husband and I. We are Platinum so we have been on a decent amount of cruises. Check-in was easy. We had all our paperwork (passport, printed boarding pass, vaccination card, and negative COVID test results) so it took us less than a half-hour to board the Horizon. The Lyft driver dropped ...

Review of the Carnival Horizon Cruise, departing Port of Miami on 8/1/21. We visited Amber Cove, Dominican Republic, Half Moon Cay, & Bimini, Bahamas. This was our 30th cruise, 13th Carnival sailing. We are a married couple, early 50’s from SD. We arrived in Miami the evening before our cruise, stayed at a airport hotel, Holiday Inn Express East (FYI-staying near the airport is a more ...

My husband and I Iove to cruise, couldn't wait to get back on a ship after the long drought due to COVID. We have been on 32 cruises. We cruise on Carnival, RCL, NCL, Princess, and Celebrity. We like them all. We took the Horizon out of Miami 7/18/21. Embarkation was fast and easy. There was a long line and everyone was wearing masks, no problem. It took 15 min. As soon as you get on the ship the ...

FUN CRUISE WITH FAMILY, MET SHAQ TWICE.

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Horizon

Year after year Carnival just gets better and better. Carnival Horizon is Carnivals BEST, by far. We had just gotten on board and were waiting for the elevator. The door opens and out comes Shaq. He came to my 88 year old mother and gave her a hug and said a few nice words to her. He shook hands with 8 of us and he was off. About an hour later my mom and I were in the Pixels area and he saw my mom ...

Embarkation was wonderful so long as you show up at your assigned time. We had put in our credit card during the online check-in. The morning of the cruise my bank notified me a$100 authorization was posted. I assumed to make sure the credit card was good. When checking in at the airport, that process took seconds as they did not check our credit cards again. We just took the boarding pass ...
