Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Glory

Overall, our trip was average. Great weather, some decent ports, and had a good time mostly. Let me start with the positive - we found the platinum diningroom staff to be friendly and helpful. Our waiter learned our names on Day 1 and made us feel very welcomed each night. Our favorite was our drink server, who made himself known by a simple "yoohoo" shoutout. On the last day, he went to each ...

Disappointing cabin steward

Overall all cruise was pretty good. Our cabin steward was the worst we have ever had in 6 cruises, She did not keep cabin very clean, was hardly visible as apposed to other cruises and rarely seen actually cleaning. even after additional tipping we still need to leave notes to leave extra towels, change sheets etc.No twice a day cleaning lol. On the flip side Erick was an outstanding cruise ...

Meeting the handsomes-John and Radu!

This was the Bloggers 10 hot cruise and I wanted to meet John. How pleased I was to also meet Mr. Radu! The American feast is not what normal Americans eat. Not much was interesting but thoroughly enjoyed the wait staff-Indrawan and Jemius. The CD was good and the young man in charge of Bingo-Lee- was hilarious. The Glory was not my favorite ship. I think I like the smaller ships. Our cabin was at ...

Not a Happy "Glory" Cruiser

Cruise was chosen my someone else, other than myself. See ALL of my comments in "Cabin Review" section below. Mix of folks on this ship was very weird. Anyone from senior retirees, to families, to LGBTs, to Special Needs, to singles & young couples. Did not like cabin stewards on my deck at all. They were just "so so". Did not go out of their way at all. Not very friendly or ...

Spur of the moment, affordable, liked the destinations.Lines for everything, food on par with golden corral or old country buffet, dining room had some good meals but nothing special.crew was great shows were good. The hot tubs and pools were always crowded or in one case a young couple were appearing to be having sex in it.The ship was full and there were lines for everything. It was Christmas week and ...

Great ports and staff but...

We found the Glory to be old and run down, Everywhere you looked bits were broken or missing and it took away from the experience. We did see uncooked food left out for hours in public spaces which left us feeling concerned about our safety. Sadly we will never sail on this ship again. The staff were great, no complaints at all. This trip we found the ship very rocky a problem only if you get sea ...

I chose this cruise because I had sailed with Carnival before and remember it being much better. I am NOT picky. I usually look at the glass half full, and I really do try and view things positively. This is an older ship, and that part didn't bother me at all. The first problem I experienced was the dining room. We were in the Platinum dining room. This was our HONEYMOON. We were sat with ...

Carnival Downhill Slide Continues

This was our 3rd cruise with Carnival. Our first in 2010 was awesome. The last two have seen a steady decline in food and service. The dining room menu is uninspired, with good service, but warm to cold servings. The food tasted bland and the selection was poor. I cannot believe the decline in menu offerings. Most menu items were offered everynight throughout the week. The buffet ...

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

We are frequent cruisers and have cruised on most cruise lines. We have avoided Carnival previously just based upon our observations at other ports. We chose this cruise because only Carnival and Holland go to Grand Turk and we wanted to give Guy's Burgers a whirl. The Good - Bang for the Buck, Carnival is a budget vacationers dream. And for the same standard price on another cruise line, ...

Acceptable time on Glory; Carnival has areas for improvement.

The Good: Sea Day comedian’s show “Family Guy”; we delayed in showing up at muster drill (which resulted in being in the front row at the edge of the marked area, with a/c blowing on us); audience lip sync event in the main lobby; Addy the trivia hostess tried hard with her English and offered a lot of good events, which we very much appreciated; our cabin steward cleaned twice (and occasionally ...
