I have been taking cruises for over 10 years and have sailed on NCL, Celebrity, MSC, RCCL and Princess as well as one cruise on Carnival Breeze. To say I was disappointed would be a huge understatement.
I was cruising with three other women and two of us are seniors. We had problems with our hotel shuttle and did not get to the port until 10:30 but luckily the lines were not too bad. Getting ...
I will start this review off by saying that I have done over 30 cruises with RCCL, Norwegian, Princess, Holland American and Celebrity. This was my first Carnival cruise. I was invited by a friend, who is a Premier member, and this was a Premier cruise. She might have been treated as Premier but I certainly wasn't.
First, the good stuff:
Roberto and Big Al, Main Dining Room head waiters, ...
First I want to say is that I am a very forgiving person when it comes to cruise lines. I understand that most ship (especially Carnival ships) are old and being replaced. I spent a week on Carnival Glory and it was the worst experience I have every had. The food and entertainment is not up to other cruise lines standards. The food was way to bland. It was the worst cruise food i have every had. I ...
We have been on many cruises on various lines (20-25+? / we've lost track) including quite a few on Carnival. We are usually skeptical of ‘bad reviews’ and often ignore some of the complaints as ‘unreasonable expectations’. That said; we were very disappointed about much of this cruise and especially so with the lack of hygiene and staff training.
We try to make the best of every situation ...
Being a first time cruiser, I would have to say this ship was not at all what I was expecting when I signed up for a "relaxing" vacation, and it will probably be my first and last cruise.
Positives of this cruise: The crew are very welcoming and were super nice. Got to see 3 out of the 4 islands for this trip - Turks and Caicos was absolutely stunning. Guy's burger joint was my go-to on this ...
Lets talk about the positive aspects of the cruise first. The dining room staff was attentive, friendly ,helpful. and very hard working. The workout area was quite adequate, clean and well equipped.
The stateroom was clean and nicely appointed and the cabin stewards took care to keep in in good order.
Now for the rest of the story.....With the exception of the two "elegant" dining evenings the ...
If you are looking for quality cuisine, choose another cruise company. Ship is old and looked like something out of the 70's. We were waiting for the disco ball to fall from our ceiling. If you enjoy raunchy entertainment, you will enjoy this cruise. One good thing was the wait staff at each dinner was efficient, kind and entertaining. Internet does not work. Be prepared for a sale job in your ...
We cruised on the Carnival Glory from December 13 -20 I found for me that the time on the ship was very boring. I guess if you were interested in Art auctions or gambling it would have been fine. The breakfast well you could skip it and not miss anything. It was far from awesome. The people that worked in the buffet area were not happy people. The best part of this cruise was the ports. For a ...
Very disappointed in this ship. It was smelly - former smoking areas have not been cleaned of smoke smell - several areas smelled musty. The cruise director acted very unprofessional; he was loud, obnoxious, spoke unclearly, and there was huge gaps in entertainment times. The Christmas show was put on very, very late (10:00) which included young children in the show, and the so-called Christmas ...
Just got home from a 7 day cruise on The Carnival Glory. This ship may have been updated in 2012 but you couldn't tell. The rooms had 1 electrical outlet for use and the beds were rock hard. The walls were paper thin and it sounded like someone was in the halls cleaning out the dishwasher every night at 1 AM. The employees were rude and didn't care about pleasing you or making you happy. No need ...
