For first time cruisers , the itinerary was 3 stops we had not encountered previously . Snorkeling in Turks/Caicos 2 days after Christmas made the trip for me . My own fault I didn’t book an island tour of Half moon cay in advance , but the island has plenty of beach and a hike up the coast shows off crabs and sea urchins . Nassau , well , is Nassau and we did take a tour of Nassau proper and ...
We chose this trip because it fit into our schedule and for no other reason. It was a premium week and the prices were jacked up as it is everywhere. Having traveled on Carnival before we had some idea of what to expect. Nothing high end, but clean and most of the employees are very hard workers. The designers were extravagantly awful. Terrible colors and lots of odd choices. It looked like ...
Needed a cruise that left after Christmas and this fit the bill and was longer than other companies offered. The ship looks like it needs an update. The decorations are outdated and very pink, seats are cracked and it needs a facelift. Not much to do on the ship in terms of activities. Two waterslides and mini golf did not hold my children's attention (ages 10, 12) and they did not want to go ...
Five of us went on the Splendor the day after Christmas.
We had a great time!
We jet skied on the private island which was just beautiful!.
We enjoyed the ports but especially loved the beach at Turks & Caicos.
Nassau was not as pretty but still had fun shopping at the straw market
The specialty steak house restaurant was very good!
The staff were polite and courteous
I ...
This was our sixth Carnival cruise and we really enjoyed it. We went with some friends and we both had extended aft balcony cabins on deck 8. It was nice to look out and see the sunrise and sunset and see the wake behind us. The ship is a little dated but it's fine. I had the Hub App on my phone and we used the chat function but the Splendor doesn't have facial recognition for pictures so this ...
We are a retired couple from Texas. We arranged two cruises in Florida before we stayed with family on spring break there when we returned. Seemed to make the long drive more worthwhile! We left the Conquest in Ft. Lauderdale and boarded the Splendor in Miami the same day. Weather was good except for a quick shower in the Bahamas. It was my birthday so all good anyway! We loved all the ...
This was my first Carnival experience and I was really excited to go but was quickly disappointed. The rooms are outdated but ok but our balcony doors was smeared ,residue all over banister. My husband wiped the chairs and banister down so we could look over and sit on balcony. The restaurant food we were assigned to "The Black Pearl" food selection was good but the buffet was very limited and ...
This was out 9th Carnival cruise. We left out of Fort Lauderdale Port. The Splendor is one of the smaller ships of the Carnival fleet, but was still clean with things to do onboard. Food was good, really good burrito bar. Our cabin steward, Joey, was friendly and extremely attentive to our cabin. Dining room staff were awesome. We don't drink, but there are plenty of bars on-board. Enjoyable shows ...
I choose this cruise b/c it was a Spring break time frame and it went to a couple places we have not been.
I have to say check in and the wait was fair. We had 11-11:30 check in and I think we were on board by 12:30-1.
I went to the Tandoor once on-board and it was great. Unfortunately I did not make it back(cant figure out why). Actually I missed out on the grill too :(
I like the ...
We chose this cruise because of it fitting in prior to another cruise sailing on 5/27/16. We have sailed Carnival before and this was the worst ship yet. Employees seem unhappy and agitated. Bar tenders are rude if you correct them on a drink make incorrectly. Food sucks, as always. Using left over hot dogs every day for breakfast..really?? And good luck finding a table to sit at because no ...
