First Time Cruise, Not the Last

Review for Carnival Freedom to Caribbean - Western

We chose this cruise because of the port mainly. The ship was wonderful with so much to do, I don't believe we even did everything there was to offer. Embarkation was smooth and so was disembarkation. The ship was clean, the staff was super nice, a lot of fun, and accommodating,We had rain all day on one of our sea days, but that did not matter with all of the other options to keep busy.. The ...

Background: We are a family of 4 (myself, husband, son- 14yrs old and daughter- 12yrs old). This was the kids' first cruise but our second on Carnival. We flew down the day before out of Boson to Ft. Lauderdale on JetBlue. This was the first time we have flown on JetBlue. We were very impressed and would highly recommend JetBlue. Once in FLL, we had pre-booked a private car to take us to Miami for ...

This sailing was our 5th in a row with Carnival and our 5th different ship. It was by far the most beautiful. We began our trip via car in Southern New Jersey and drove straight through the night till our arrival in Miami at 3pm Friday afternoon. We had book the LaQuinta Motel Airport East on Le Jeune Drive. The neighborhood doesn't offer much but all we really needed was a bed for the night. The ...

We recently returned from our 7 night cruise on Carnival Freedom. Once again, we had a wonderful time and were generally happy with our Carnival vacation. I'll try to give a short and sweet synopsis of our cruise. Embarkation: We arrived at noontime so we were sent right in to the new Miami terminal for check-in. We were taken care of immediately and once checked in, only had to wait about 10 ...

Carnival Freedom....Not So Good

So, we booked our 14th cruise on Carnival's Freedom of the Seas for the Western Caribbean....I wish we had chosen another ship! We've had wonderful experiences on other Carnival Ships (Inspiration, Imagination & Paradise) so we thought one of the newest ships would be fantastic, but I can honestly say it was the worst cruise we ever had. The first thing you notice about the ship is the lack of ...

Background: We were a party of 10 (ranging from 27 to a young 72). For us it was our 5th (all on Carnival - Victory, Victory, Valor, Glory, Freedom). We also had some first timers with us. Six of us flew down the day before out of Philadelphia to Ft. Lauderdale on Southwest. We were very disappointed with Southwest's new boarding system. Now they have a zone and a number and it took twice as ...

SPRING BREAK with the family 08

Eight of us (4 adults, 3 teenagers, 1 child) flew into Ft. Lauderdale on Friday. We flew into Miami last year and found FTL to be a newer/nicer airport (great when traveling with the family). Overnighted at the Embassy Suites FTL (old hotel that has been refurbished-once again, great for the family) and took a private shuttle to the Port of Miami that I had booked before we left home. Total round ...

We are 53 and 47 and cruised with our two teenage daughters on the Carnival Freedom for spring break. We have cruised Carnival 6 times, Royal Caribbean 3 times and Princess once. The kids prefer Carnival the most because there are so many young people. We like the food on Carnival the best. The kids made lots of friends and had the best time ever. There were many families with kids on this cruise. ...

My wife and I are 45 and 44 and our two daughters are 18 and 16. We have cruised Carnival 3 times and Disney 5 times. We are really big Disney fans and love there cruises, but can't see paying over double for them. The last two spring break we have did Carnival and loved them both. We flew into Miami on Friday night and stayed the Springhill Suites by the airport. Hotel was very nice, but it was ...

This was our 3d cruise (Carnival Triumph, RCCL Grandeur). We are a family of four, two boys 12 and 10. We were also traveling with another family with two boys the same ages. This cruise surpassed our expectations. First was the embarkation. Smooth as silk. We were on the ship by noon. The food was outstanding! Every night in the dining room was a great experience thanks to the wait staff and ...
