First Time Cruise, Not the Last

Review for Carnival Freedom to Caribbean - Western

We chose this cruise because of the port mainly. The ship was wonderful with so much to do, I don't believe we even did everything there was to offer. Embarkation was smooth and so was disembarkation. The ship was clean, the staff was super nice, a lot of fun, and accommodating,We had rain all day on one of our sea days, but that did not matter with all of the other options to keep busy.. The ...

Great experience

This was my second Carnival cruise and this one was better than the first. The food is pretty good and the activities are well organized and fun. We had a stateroom. My fiance and I had a very relaxing time on this cruise to the Bahamas. Only negative is that Carnival ships are very family friendly, so there were alkot of kids in the hot tubs and pools, making it hard for adults to enjoy ...

We were first time cruisers, and the Carnival Freedom was an excellent choice!! Staff The staff was friendly, accommodating and everywhere!! No need went unmet, they had a smile from day one to day fourteen. They attempted to get to know their guests on a personal level, and also made an effort to learn consistent dining and cabin habits. Food The wait staff was fantastic, friendly and ...

This was our sixth cruise and our fifth on Carnival. Since we live in Florida, we drove to Miami from Orlando and arrived at the cruise terminal around 10am. We checked in immediately and were assigned Group 3 to board the ship. The wait to board was about an hour and a half so we passed the time by talking to other passengers that we met on the cruise critic board for this cruise. Our group was ...

My Fiance and I, along with 22 guests, met in South Beach the night before departure. Everyone came together to celebrate our wedding, which was to take place on Megan's Bay, in St. Thomas. We chose an Eastern Caribbean Cruise, with ports in San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Martin. Everyone stayed at various hotels in South Beach. We, along with four couples, stayed at Essex House. It was a nice ...

We've been on several cruises...sailing on Carnival, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean in the past. We chose the Carnival Freedom because of the itinerary it offered for this sailing and we wanted to sail on a new ship. The Flight: We flew into Miami from Phoenix two days prior to sailing. Taxi from the Miami Airport to the Holiday Inn Bayside was $22 (plus tip). The Hotel: We stayed at the ...

Background: We are a family of 4 (myself, husband, son- 14yrs old and daughter- 12yrs old). This was the kids' first cruise but our second on Carnival. We flew down the day before out of Boson to Ft. Lauderdale on JetBlue. This was the first time we have flown on JetBlue. We were very impressed and would highly recommend JetBlue. Once in FLL, we had pre-booked a private car to take us to Miami for ...

Carnival Freedom....Not So Good

So, we booked our 14th cruise on Carnival's Freedom of the Seas for the Western Caribbean....I wish we had chosen another ship! We've had wonderful experiences on other Carnival Ships (Inspiration, Imagination & Paradise) so we thought one of the newest ships would be fantastic, but I can honestly say it was the worst cruise we ever had. The first thing you notice about the ship is the lack of ...

Our Fabulous Freedom Cruise

Background: We were a party of 10 (ranging from 27 to a young 72). For us it was our 5th (all on Carnival - Victory, Victory, Valor, Glory, Freedom). We also had some first timers with us. Six of us flew down the day before out of Philadelphia to Ft. Lauderdale on Southwest. We were very disappointed with Southwest's new boarding system. Now they have a zone and a number and it took twice as ...

Our two weeks shy of 18 year old son has informed us that this being his Senior Year in high school is in fact his last Spring Break with his parents so we knew this trip had to be special! Saturday in Coconut Grove - We chose to stay in Coconut Beach, as we wanted a quieter scene then downtown Miami or South Beach. We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn using Marriott points. The hotel itself ...
