This was my second time sailing on the Breeze and my 15th Carnival cruise overall. I do enjoy other cruise lines, but I think Carnival is great when sailing with children. We went on the 8-day Southern Caribbean sailing over Halloween and had a fantastic time. There is no way you will be bored on this ship! We flew into MIA the day before and stayed at the Hampton Inn Brickell in Downtown Miami. ...
I've always wanted to go to Aruba & Curacao & finally, I was able to go. I had a porthole 1A on Deck 2. Other than the bed (which I thought was too narrow, but there was no way to convert it to something larger), I thought the cabin was excellent. Very roomy & spacious for one person. I emptied my suitcases & there was space for them in the one closet I didn't use. I used the other 2 closets for ...
Let me start by saying there has been a 5 year gap in since our last cruise and some things have changed. Some for the good and some not so good. Fortunately the good out weighed the not so good by far.
Embarkation:
Carnivals embarkation process gets a big thumbs up. We arrived in Miami at 10:08 on the day of sailing. We picked up our luggage and low and behold not next to the carrousel was a ...
Rooms: We picked the least expensive room on both Allure and Breeze.
• Allure was much larger with a couch
• Breeze: Slightly larger bathroom, but the room was a little crowded. It was nice, but small.
Food: The dining room staff on both ships were great. We purchased a ‘soda’ package on both ships. I REALLY did NOT like how they had to take my card and swipe it every time on the Breeze. Also, ...
Let me start this out by saying we've been on numerous Carnival vacations and this was most likely our last. The quality of food, the entertainment, and the smell of sewage was the last straw. Oh yea, did I say we selected this cruise because of the itinary which included Dominica, Grand Turk, Curaso, and Aruba. Because of the hurricane near Bermuda the Captain decided that we wern't going to ...
Hello from the Carnival Breeze as we sail through the Caribbean to our first port of Call Grand Turks.
Day one
It was an educational day as we saw new changes to Carnivals embarkation day in Miami. This first big change that was noticed, when you fly into Miami, if you are sailing that same day, instead of just meeting the Carnival representative and being pointed toward a bus, Carnival now ...
First & definitely the last time with Carnival.
Having been on 6 previous cruises with Royal Caribbean, I decided to give Carnival a try. Worst decision I made. There is NO comparison. I certainly had high expectations going in based on the amazing cruises I've taken in the past. But by the 3rd day on this cruise, I was ready to go home. That was a first for me.
Check-in and embarkation went ...
I'll keep my review short.
This ship has NO organization at all. They did not put bands on kids at muster drill (huge cruise fail); areas were never staffed correctly. Pizza line (and that is all it is a line not a restaurant) was staffed with ONE server at all times. Didn't matter whether it was 3 am or high crowd time like after shows. 1 guy means ONE LONG WAIT! Dining room was so generic. ...
My niece got married on the ship, so there was 60 of us. So you know we were having fun. I hear many complaints about Carnival, but I don't know why. They upgraded me to a grand suite...food was awesome and entertainment was great. I guess the live band karaoke was the high light for us. Booked our own excursions. Key West (did not want to go there) stayed on ship. Went to Grand Cayman rented ...
I thought this was by far my favorite ship yet. So much to do so many things to try. We did the steakhouse the first night it was amazing. Our cruise director Matt was fantastic so full of fun and life. The staff was friendly everywhere we went. The red frog pub was probably our favorite. The bartender Jeniel was awesome so fun. The sushi place they had was fantastic and got a good amount for the ...
