My wife and I were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary and decided to do a TransAtlantic Cruise with Virgin Voyages out of Miami to Barcelona. In addition to that cruise, we decided to stay on board for the 7-day Mediterranean cruise. We heard nothing but good things about Virgin Voyages so we decided to go all in on this back-to-back cruise experience. We are experienced cruisers with over ...

After taking our first Virgin Voyages cruise, we recommend it. We took the Valiant Lady on a 15 day cruise from Miami to Barcelona. We usually cruise on Princess and Celebrity. On boarding we were greeted by a female crew member in a skimpy red dress and another in a red sequined gown, who personified the line's hip attitude. The ship has a tattoo parlor. Bingo is led by a drag queen. They ...

Great First Yacht Club Experience

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Divina

We chose this 3 day sailing as an introduction to the Yacht Club. We were markedly impressed with the service. The room was great and the food in the Le Muse restaurant was great. The servers remembered our drink preferences which was awesome. Our Butler and Assistant Butler were awesome. We will definitely be back to the Yacht Club. Areas that MSC could improve on would be some of the ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Divina

To be completely transparent about my review, we booked this cruise about a month before we set sail. We took advantage of MSC's status match, which only put us at the silver level. We paid for a very inexpensive inside guarantee room, but when we were assigned a room, we were upgraded to an aft-facing balcony. The upgrade was so unexpected, and the room was so awesome, the cruise already ...

Repositioning on MSC Divina - Miami to Genoa 14 March - 3 April 2019

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Divina

I chose this cruise for the itinerary, because several ports had an overnight giving 2 days in those ports. I saw Divina launched in Marseille in 2011 and sailed on her as a solo traveller the following year, and loved it, so was looking forward to sailing on her again. I have a friend I travel with now but we choose to have our own cabins. Paying a single supplement is huge so we always book ...

Mostly good except for Lisbon excursion

If you are stopping in Lisbon on your cruise, do not select the tour by Tuk Tuk. We paid almost $100 apiece for what was supposed to be a 3 hour tour. We got barely 2 hours of touring and much of that time was spent sitting and waiting to move from one place to another. Total rip-off! Overall, this transatlantic cruise is a good deal. The stops before reaching Southampton were great even ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Star

I booked Carnival Horizon's westbound TA for 5/9/18, then some cruise friends discovered that rather than flying to Europe days early, we could take this Star eastbound TA and have 3 nights in Barcelona in between sailings. Wasn't sure I could get that much time off, but went ahead and booked everything. For some reason, I'd never been interested in sailing NCL. Now I'm sorry I didn't try ...

First TA - smooth, port itinerary poor

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Star

This was the 2nd leg of a month long B2B after 2 weeks doing the Panama Canal. The transitioning between the 2 cruises was unbelievably poor, various mistakes in the presentation, the most basic being we had to be off the ship before 10am but were due to meet at 10.30am???? Could only access new safe after 10am but nobodys cards worked. More than 100 passengers were in this situation and I ...

We wanted to do a TA and this one fit the timeline. Overall the ship was in very good condition and the staff were great! The entertainment was some of the best we have had of the 17 cruises I’ve been on. The food was very good but the design of the buffet created a great deal of traffic jams. We purchased the spa since we didn’t know how much deck time we would have on a TA. The spa is very odd ...
