Some Good, Some Not So Good

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Scarlet Lady

This is really a mixed review. Overall the food was very good. Pink Agave and Gunbae were exceptional. The Test Kitchen was a disaster and the food was not good. The Wake was good, but not great. and the Italian food in Extra Virgin was mostly very good. We only ate breakfast in The Galley, but most of what we tried was very good. The staff throughout the ship was exceptional. Tips are ...

I have cruised with rccl many times in the past. I had a problem with my next door neighbor playing and singing along with rap music from 1:30 am to 2:15 am. I called guest service twice and no one answered. Later they offered 15% of the cost of that cruise towards the next rccl within the year. That's $200. Wow. They give out one pen to a winning team for a trivia challenge. One pen total. We ...

Nightmare

We are platinum members, and this cruise was a nightmare. First, we always get a handicap room, since my husband is very unsteady and uses a walker. Upon arrival, we were booked a regular inside room, which, means the bathroom has a step up and a very small shower. Our agent assured us he booked us a handicap room. Went to guest services and no rooms were available. Entertainment was terrible! ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Magnifica

Left Miami on Friday and back on Monday. Stopped in Key West and Nassau. Embarkation was fast and smooth. We did not bring much luggage so we carried on our bags. On the ship 10 minutes after arriving for our 11:30am checkin. First impressions were how clean and well maintained the ship was and staff were there to answer any questions. Dropped bags in state room which was being cleaned and this ...

We booked this trip because we were looking for a short cruise to the Caribbean and heard good reviews about the food. The food was a huge disappointment. If pork cheek, pork belly, not thoroughly cooked chicken and a minuscule selection of vegetables is your idea of good food then this is the cruise for you. Breakfast far surpassed anything we were served for dinner. Virgin boasts 20+ Michelin ...

I have done several cruises on very large and luxurious ships, as well as on small and very simple ships. I took the risk of doing the cruise with MSC on the weekend of April 12 to April 15, 2024 and I was a little skeptical that I would have a good time;...but what a great surprise I found, it has been one of my best experiences traveling on a cruise. The service and attention was excellent, much ...

Our first cruise, and it did not disappoint. The service and food are both outstanding. Everything was convenient and the atmosphere is very relaxed. People are friendly. There are lots of things to do, or places to hang out and do nothing. The bars are great and prices are reasonable. We enjoyed Pink Agave and the Test Kitchen. Brunch at the Wake was also very good. The pastries and baked goods ...

My 10th cruise on 5 different lines; my 2nd time on Scarlet Lady. Last time I splurged on a suite on < 30% capacity sailing. This time, I got a sea terrace with lovely balcony and adequate room space but teeny, tiny bathroom. The biggest difference in my overall experience between last time and now: ship capacity was > 80% full. It is a gorgeous, modern ship. I like the technology - in-room ipad ...

Great cruise. Entertaining, great food, upscale amenities, and very friendly staff. This was our first cruise and we talked about how we are going to be spoiled for future cruises. Perfect for couples and very social atmosphere. The weather was perfect for us and we found time to relax and enjoys the peaceful atmosphere. We stopped in Grand Turks and Bimini which were both beautiful islands to ...
