I chose this cruise because of the dates and the price. The refurbishment of the ship is great. Very modern and beautiful. the entertainment was also very good. The pool area is very nice (plenty of chairs and good music). The food in the main dining room was very good, no need for specialty dining to get excellent food and service. The crew was very nice. There were no long lines anywhere. Not for the buffet of guest services. We enjoyed the ports of call, even though we had been to all of them before. Nice touch ncl, offering a wet wash cloth to all passengers as we boarded from each port. I especially like a small ship, and this small ship was one of the best i have been on. I have gone on 52 cruises, and this was in my top 10! I din't expect the cruise to be this nice, especially for the low price. Read Less

(I mean if y’all wanted us to get a free one that’d be cool :)) But seriously We has an amazing time! Like I said Kervin is great! He is seriously cruise director material! He was so much better to us than dingo Dave, and dingo Dave was fun, but the experience could’ve been the same without him. My vacation would not have been as much if Kervin was not there. Tutu was a great room steward and the cruise director staff was great! I loved the sing it if you know it, I wish there was more of that!! Also majority rules was very fun! I liked the fact that there wasn’t trivia after trivia. There were lots of different things to do! Y’all made a four day vacation feel like a week! Read Less

The food was very good overall, there is a lot of variety and there are several restaurants that you can enjoy but that you will have to pay but prices aren’t bad. The rooms are very clean & spacious. Also they have a lot of thing to do for lots of different ages. I think you should definitely go. It was well worth it. There is lots of variety in music & there is a few adults only places which is good if you would not like to be around kids & also lots of ways to win free items & money. The process of getting on & off the ship is awesome & good thing is that I was able to travel without a passport just with my drivers license & my birth certificate. Read Less

I saw a negative review, i believe they sailed the same cruise we did. I did not have the same experience and felt it worthy of a positive review. We have cruised Royal Caribbean since the 90's and have never been disappointed. This cruise to the Bahamas was perfect for 2 kids under 11. The water slides on deck 13 entertained them all day. The food was what i expected, decent and ample choices. The dining room was nice and service was fantastic. We had a balcony room and the space was tight for 4 people, but who stays in their room... Coco Cay was amazing, the kids thought this was the coolest. I have sailed many other lines and some were comparable to RCL, one was slightly better and one was absolutely horrible. While it didn't impact my trip nor was the service i received affected, several of the staff members complained about not getting time off and being overworked. We look forward to our next cruise on RCL. Read Less

Great price on a 5 night cruise with all perks! Truly unbeatable value. REALLY low crowds too!! We booked this only two weeks out for the cost if a value cruise line with NO perks like drink package or specialty dining. The crew is one of the best I've seen across the board. Bar service was outstanding...no premises drinks except at the pool with frozen ones...which were great anyway! Restaurant service and food quality was, in my opinion, a step up from NCL's already high standards. Our room steward was AWESOME....very fast and efficient...room pretty much stayed perfectly made. Low crowds made the cruise feel more like a luxury cruise! I can't recommend doing these 5 night cruises. before they go away enough....DO IT. Was originally supposed to be a Cuba itinerary, but no more Cuba cruises. We took advantage of the situation....FANTASTIC cruise. Only disappointment was missing GSC due to rough seas....we are 0 for 2 on GSC....trying again In January on the Breakaway... Read Less

Embarkation: We completed all our paperwork using the app prior to arrival which was really easy and took less than five minutes. The ship left out of Terminal A (Royal’s new terminal in Miami). We arrived at the port around 10:30 and were on the ship literally as fast as we could walk from curbside to the boat. Ship: This was our first time on a Navigator-class ship. We were very impressed. The facilities provided lots of variety in terms of both atmosphere and food options. The outdoor decks were nicely designed and included chairs, day beds, cabanas, and hammocks. It was really a nice change from the field of lounge chairs you see on Radiance class ships. We did notice some food service items which were left in the hallways throughout the cruise which was a little unsettling but other than that, the common areas were kept very clean. Dining: We did My Time Dining but enjoyed our waitstaff so much that we basically went at the time the Maitre’d assigned us so that we could keep the same table each night. The food was good and we felt like they had a better selection than our cruise a year ago. As I mentioned, our waitstaff Neftali and Ardvint) were amazing. They were the perfect combination of efficiency and hospitality. We were also travelling with our toddler so it was great to have some of the other staff like Jose (not sure what his job was, maybe an Assistant Head Waiter?) stop by each night to entertain the kid. Cabin: We had a great cabin. The Panoramic Oceanview room has a spectacular view and a good amount of space. Our cabin attendant, Georgiana was awesome. She would always make it a point to stop what she was doing and talk to us every morning and night, and by the end of our trip our daughter wanted to look for her every time we went out of the cabin. She really went out of her way to make us feel special. Entertainment: We didn’t go to a lot of the shows but we did go to iSkate the first night and it was amazing. The whole family enjoyed it and it’s definitely a can’t miss event. We also had several appearances by the Stowaway Piano Player. That’s a great addition and alway made for a surprise when the elevator doors opened and he was on there. As many other have said, the slides were available most of the week but the lines were ridiculously long so we never took the time to ride them. Ports: We stayed on the ship in Nassau and really don’t feel like we missed much. CoCo Cay really exceeded our expectations. We started out at the kids play area but decided mid-morning to go into the water park. They were charging $44 pp at the entrance and it was well worth it. We found that lines weren’t that bad in the morning or later in the afternoon. Seating around the wave pool, especially shaded seating, was at a premium. The slides were really fun and fast. Service: So, as the saying goes, “I’ve saved the best for last!” From Captain Angel all the way to the crew that goes around cleaning the ship, we found that just about everyone on board to be friendly and happy. Many went out of their way to interact with our toddler as well. The ship was nice but the crew is what made it special. Final Thoughts: We spent the last day (Sea Day) trying to figure out how to take another trip on Navigator before the crew turnover begins later this year. Need I say more? Read Less

From the time we got on board it was great! The crew did an amazing job with everything! Our stateroom was very clean and stayed perfect the entire trip. This was our 20th anniversary and were taken aback with the fact so many of the crew knew this. The food was great, with exception of one dinner. The service was impeccable! We did have a few favorite crew members that made this a perfect cruise! I would recommend Norwegian for anyone has never been for their first time. Our favorite excursion, by far, was the cabana on Great Stirrup Cay. The view took our breath away! The service continued to be amazing. The food was outstanding! We have cruised with RC several times and always had a good experience. Recently we cruised on Harmony and loved it. When an opportunity came to sail on Navigator at a bargain price we said lets take a chance. When you cruise in Sept or October you get the best rates since school is in session and its hurricane season. As far as the weather, you take you chances but we were lucky and had great weather. Navigator is an older ship but she is well maintained overall. The pool area just received most of a 100 million dollar refurbishment. The pool deck on Navigator is as nice as anything I've experienced and is comparable with the newest and largest RC ships. Food was very good. The restaurant servers were great and very accommodating. We actually preferred the food in the Windjammer by the pool because of the variety. We didn't do the specialty restaurants since this was intended to be a bargain cruise. Our cabin was an interior and overlooked the promenade. We loved it and actually preferred it to the balcony we had on the Harmony. The room was spacious and very clean with a great cabin steward. The cruise director was fantastic. Maybe the best we ever had and we've been on 15-20 cruises. The entertainment was good, but not up to the standards you get on the 7 day ships like Allure or Harmony. Overall it was good. The Quest game is X rated and if your not easily offended it's hilarious. Embarkation at the new Miami RC terminal was a breeze. You park in their garage and drop your luggage there. Disembarkation was the fastest and most efficient ever. We literally just walked off the ship without stopping except to have a screen shot of our faces at the kiosk. The RC Coco Cay island is the finest island resort stop ever. RC has turned it into a Disney style water park. It was a major highlight. I loved it and I'm not a beach person. The swim up bar is too cool, and the island buffet was great. Overall this was an excellent get away at a very good price. Read Less

This was the BEST cruise I have ever been on!! All of the staff were exceptional and really helpful. We had lots of fun, saw and embarked on many different adventures, food was EXCELLENT in all of the restaurants and getting on and off the ship was easy as could be. Norwegian is the best cruise for the best price!! We had the BEST service on deck by the pool (Kevin Remy & Felipe), the best cabin steward (Gabriel), and we had a host of wonderful waiters and waitresses while dining. Both Crossings and The Palace restaurants offered amazing food and desserts and we were very well taken care of during our dining experiences. Our waiter Deyan was one of our favorites. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet style breakfasts and the hours that the breakfast was available made it easy to eat breakfast anytime. While at the pool, we had a thoroughly attentive lifeguard (Dragan) who let nothing get past him. He was very helpful, attentive and carried on a conversation with the swimmers. He was VERY good with the smaller children who were swimming in the pool and sitting in the hot tubs. I have been on several other cruise lines and this was my first experience with Norwegian, but it will NOT be my last. I won't book with anyone but Norwegian again!! :) Read Less

Our house keeper Gabriel ensured our cabin is clean and ready to use. Melvin made our drinks on point. Our Children care personnel always had a program for the kids allowing parents to enjoy a moment without Children. Sailing was very smooth good job to the Ship Captains. Boarding the ship was very well organized. Entertainment for all ages was plentiful. Security when embarking and while on board was on point! All staff came from different backgrounds and individual staff had a name tag and a flag representing their country of origin. Good job Norwegian ship for hiring a diversified staff from all over the world. Safety equipments were readily accessible both in the cabins and in common areas making every one on board feel safe. I have wanted to experience a cruise on the largest cruise ship in the world. Symphony of the Seas had planned a couple short voyages that fit the bill. I was able to book August 31, 2019 - September 3, 2019 and not miss a day of work (off on Tuesdays and Fridays and this Monday was a holiday). Perfect! Then in the few days preceding this cruise, tropical storm Dorian became Hurricane Dorian. We were to depart Miami Saturday August 31st, spend Sunday September 1st in Nassau, a day at sea, then home. Many ships were having changes made to their schedule as the storm grew stronger. At 10pm Thursday I packed late, checked the RCCL website at 1am and saw my cruise was eliminated since the extended the August 24th cruise until Sept 4th. I cancelled my airline reservations just after that post. With an overwhelming feeling of disappointment, I went to sleep. By morning, to confirm this really happened, I looked at the website and to my surprise, no listing for my cruise. I called the helplines at RCCL. They found nothing. Luckily I screenshot the website and had it to email the representative. For 90 minutes he searched while I was on hold. Finally I got a text message with word the ship we depart early and be extended a day. I knew before the rep did! RCCL did an amazing job. I rebooked a new trip at the last minute (paying way too much) but I made it there. Embarkation: WOW. I handed a staff member my preprinted boarding passes, she scanned the barcode with her iPad and we walked to the ship. The keys are waiting for you at 1pm in your cabin door mail slot. We didn't much more than pause our walk to get scanned and we were on the ship in 10 minutes. NO WAY could this be easier or better. We went to Boleros to buy the WOW band. It was $5 and cool to have. It worked great as cabin door key, it was OK as a way to pay for drinks. Sometimes I just chose to use the card as it was easier to hand over. The readers in the bars worked ok most of the time but of course walking servers do not carry readers. Grabbed a Mojito to kick off the cruise by 11am. We dined for lunch at the Park Cafe - the Kummelweck roast beef sandwiches. Yes, they are as good as everyone says plus a nice custom bowl of salad. Delicious. Our room had good and bad. I am never one to complain. Room 14-577 was top of Central Park in the very front. Glad i tried it but I won't do it again. If you happen to book these neighborhood balconies, be aware that it is not like an ocean view. There is no privacy so your curtains will likely be closed all the time. Be aware that the 15th floor is the pool deck. You will hear foot stomps when kids run across that deck. While not bad at all, we did notice that. Be aware that in this cabin the ship's framing is a roofline just over your balcony so the great part is - always shady. I didn't care for keeping the key card inserted in a slot to keep lights and air on but I understand it's a good idea. Not a lot of normal TV to watch but who really cares to watch TV? The bed was extremely firm and our steward says they no longer offer the egg-crate pads, I also understand. We managed just fine. Plenty of room, plenty of storage, bigger shower than most ships too. But I will never choose 14th floor neighborhood balcony again. Oh it did include a bottle of red wine and two coke packages (refill cups). The shows? WOW. I have often thought NCL Epic had the natural win in this category but when I saw HAIRSPRAY, I loved everything about it. Then we saw FLIGHT and that was entertaining in a usual cruise ship show kind of way but well done with a mix of technology and live action. The ice show was 1977 and though I wonder what that year had to do with anything, there was excellent skating, beautiful costumes, and it all started amazing drones flying over the performance area giving us a light show. Loved it. Finally HIRO - what an amazing show. I would say that the price of the cruise was worth it just to see this show! Swimming, diving, dancing, arial performances, a lot like Cirque on overdrive. I am still blown away. Food. I would say it was good. Some of it was excellent, some just OK. I was shocked that the prime rib was just OK. I love prime rib. But the tenderloin and short ribs were outstanding. Salmon was better than OK but not the best. Lasagna was OK but not too good. I did order a beef stroganoff dish but sent it back because it was unlike any I had ever had...more like a pasta dish with a light brown garlic based gravy. Not a complainer - everything was edible and decent. But for the quantity served, it is still impressive. Early traditional seating is my choice. Always kind, if we wanted to rush to a show, they put us on fast pace. Wine was plentiful and they kept me with a drink at all times. Activity: WOW. Zip line - long wait for a short thrill but very cool to do. Abyss....long line and awesome anticipation for the thrill. Loved it - especially the que to actually get on the slide being all glass way up there. I ran out of time but would have body surfed the flowrider. Lines were not bad at all. PuttPutt was always in use and looks like fun. the court was half basketball half soccer. They all seemed to love it. I rode the carousel. It's been years since I had done that and well, it just makes me smile. Artwork. another WOW. Some cool stuff. A lot of weird things too. Loved the piano stairs. Didn't quite get the sound art and light art but OK. Plenty to see. Interactive art is always cool. The cruise director Ricky was fun. Led many street parties and works his tail off. They had a balloon drop at midnight day one, they had a Caribbean street party, an 80s party and a pirate parade. We sat in a sing along with a guitar player that was fun (crowd was a blast - singer was excellent). Saw a little piano playing in Schooner but I do tire of the same old 70s and 80s pop songs. Oh another cool thing on this ship is the stowaway piano player - he may be in an elevator (that's where we saw him) or anywhere on the ship at any time. Very cool!! Did I mention we were to be in Nassau on September 1st but Hurricane Dorian decided category 5 would just sit over the Bahamas and destroy...so RCCL sent us to Costa Maya Mexico instead. We were out of harms way, mostly in the hot sun. RCCL added a 4th day to our cruise so we had to get new airfare home but they didn't add any extra cost to our beverage package or Voom package. I think they actually gave us $50 On Board Credit too. I didn't care for Costa Maya but that's just me. I was glad to be there! We did not excursion there either. Just to add to controversy, I will tell you that in my opinion, all cruises should be non-smoking. I won't go in to a casino so long as there is smoking - so I didn't even visit it on this trip. Celebrity has no-smoking in their casinos. A different vibe for those of us that don't like the smell. But to each their own and I was just fine without it. I didn't plan to buy a NextCruise certificate but I did because this was my new favorite cruise. Finally getting off the ship - WOW. We chose late as possible because our flight was 12:30pm. We got tags #69 9:00am. Teh drink package still got us premium coffee drinks for free the day of departure. We waited it our in the Cafe Promenade. When we left the ship we walked into the terminal, chose our bag from the 100 or so still left there and walked to customs. No need to even bring out a passport of fill out the declaration papers...we walked up to an iPad that took our picture, waited a few seconds, got a green check mark and we were out to the taxi line. No more than a couple minutes to get in and no more than a couple minutes to get out. Way to go RCCL and US Customs! Read Less

The games and trivia plus the lounges ... there was lots of quiet places to get away from the action. At port it was enjoy to walk around and go back to the boat early & just relax. This was my most relaxing vacation in a long while. The water was so Beautiful & I saw dolphins. The Spinnaker lounge was the BEST leisure lounge during the day. Quiet & bright, easy to get a day and just decompress. We took photos each day with the ship & got a cute photo album. The was an unique souvenir. Plus, their were free gifts and cheap gifts with a bazaar in the atrium on our Sea Day. Some games had prizes, like dinners or drinks or gift baskets. When we sailed on the Norwegian Sky, in August, Hurricane Dorian was on its way through the Bahamas and our cruise had a change of itinerary. Instead of going to the Bahamas we went to Cozumel and Key West. We were just happy to be on vacation so the change of itinerary didn't affect our excitement about the trip. The cruise was fabulous, the ship was clean and beautiful. There was plenty to do on the ship. The pool was not as hard to enjoy as another small ship we've been on, there was always a chair and room in the pool. We enjoyed the nightly shows as well as some of the game shows in the bliss lounge. We played Deal or No Deal in the Stardust theater daily....and WON! We also won a small chunk in the beautiful casino. The ports, although changed, were still great. We enjoyed the food and the drinks in all of the restaurants. I was probably most amazed by the fact that the staff was super quick and efficient during embarkation and disembarkation both at the beginning and the end of the cruise as well as at the ports. There was little or no wait to embark/disembark. We can't wait to go again. Read Less

Sailing out of Miami we did the Little Havana Food tour and had a great time. When we were leaving for this trip, Dorian was just a little puff. How all that changed. Overall we had a very nice cruise. In Key West and Nassau we walked around on our own. In Freeport we did the glass bottom boat tour and it was very nice and saw lots of sharks. I was talking to our bus driver and another tour lady and it looked like Dorian may go north of them at that time but that’s not how it turned out. I hope all is ok with them. I think we were the last ship out of Freeport. Everything was great with the cruise but we had to skip the private island because of Dorian. Although we were looking forward to our cabana, it was a small price to pay for what the islanders had to deal with. The really surprising thing was how quiet people were when the captain was providing storm updates. They did a nice job with letting everyone know what was happening with the info they had. Great job NCL. Just booked Greek Isles for 2020 and will probably get a couple others in before then. Kudos on helping out the people there with the Breakaway and best wishes for a speedy recovery. I wanted to do a cruise for my birthday this year and after looking at several cruise lines we chose the Norwegian Sky because we liked the idea of cruising Freestyle. It was AMAZING! This was our first time cruising with Norwegian and we were so impressed that I honestly don’t think we will ever cruise with any other cruise lines. Everything was perfect from the price of our cabin, to the food, the entertainment and the drinks. We did not buy any specialty dining bc we aren’t big foodies but the choice of food was plenty. We aren’t breakfast eaters so I can’t give any tips on that but for lunch and dinner we chose to eat at the Palace or Crossroads. We did eat pizza one day up on the pool deck. We never ate at the buffet on the ship but we did at Great Stirrup Cay and the food was ok but we are not big buffet eaters. We loved Great Stirrup Cay and if we ever go back we will definitely be booking a cabana!! The ships entertainment was great and they also had a funny comedian. We also bought bingo cards and deal or no deal cards in which my husband got to play that game on stage and won $40. Our cabin was on the 10th floor inside cabin and it was perfect for us. It was the same size as our camper so we felt right at home. The only thing that I didn’t like was the pool. I felt like too many people were hogging it but other than that it was the best time ever. We did take extra cash to tip our servers even though we knew we were tipping them at the end. They definitely knew us by our faces and always appreciated the extra tip. We didn’t travel with kids but we did explore the area geared towards children and it looked like they would have fun at the arcade and the other room was like a preschool. All in all we had a fantastic time! Read Less

My family and I were looking for a quick getaway before school started back up again. We mainly chose this cruise because we wanted to see the newly renovated CocoCay and it did not disappoint. The ship was spotless, had plenty of staff, tons of places to sit and hang out. Our inside stateroom had a virtual balcony that we loved. We were expecting a small picture of an ocean view, not the full size live video feed. It was awesome!! If you are bored on this ship you are not looking hard enough because there are so many hints to do and see. Our dining room experience was awesome, we loved our waiters Rodrigo and Tomas and the food did not disappoint. I think I went to El Loco Fresh on the pool deck probably around 10 times throughout the 4 day cruise. The food was amazing and depending on how hungry you were you could get a snack or a meal. They advertised the Perfect Day at CocoCay a LOT but it lived up to the hype. The thrill park was tons of fun and the pool was refreshing. There were waiters everywhere and bathrooms and food were plentiful. I have been an avid NCL cruiser in the past but this Royal Caribbean cruise was a welcome change and I am looking forward to many more of them in the future. I can’t recommend this ship enough! Everyone on board the ship was so amazingly friendly! Always with a smile, always offering to help you out, etc. The only "complaint" would be that the buffet served the same food pretty much every day. Just wish there was a little bit more of a variety. The meals in the main dining rooms were great and the service was wonderful. Mom didn't care for something she ordered so they promptly got her a new meal. Another time we had ordered dessert, but I needed to get my mom back to the cabin quickly, so they packed it up and sent it back with my husband for us. Extra special touches!!! We truly loved it! The crew helped with getting food substitution due to food preference and made sure corrections were made with meal orders. I had to tip my hat to how much they do with a smile on their face. I wanted something more adult and less kids, this was it. The on-board activities were awesome. Their was never a dull moment. I wish I had a chance to do more but time flew by so fast. If the sky ship was great, I could only imagine the other ships. The only thing I wish the ship had is more smoking sections. Deck 11 was the only place I knew that had a smoking section. It just became overcrowded at times. Overall, it was amazing! Thank you all for one of the greatest time of my life!!! Read Less

We chose this 4 day Bahamas and Perfect Day at Coco Cay cruise for a few reasons. It was our last summer blast before school starts next week, we wanted to see the new Coco Cay and we wanted the Navigator with the new additions to it. In summary this has been one of the best cruises we have been on period. The Ship: the Navigator was simply beautiful. We loved the additions to the promenade as well as the improved pool area. We spent a lot of time in both. Playmakers was a highlight for us. Great service (shout out to Ann) and I loved the fun family atmosphere. We played jenga, and enjoyed the house band set up nearby. The pools are amazing and the water slides are even better. We loved the cabanas on deck. Our 6 year old did the slides so much the staff knew her by name. Speaking of which the Adventure Camp was one of the best. The play area is huge and they have wonderful activities. Our daughter kept asking “is camp open yet”. I also received services at to dry for and Monique was great. Friendly to talk with and she did a great job. Dining: I was a little disappointed in dining but nothing was terrible. It was all just average. The Buffett was the same most days with slight twists. But so was the dining room. Food was good but not great. No wow factors for us there. Ports: we did not get off the ship in Nassau having been there numerous times before and enjoyed the pool and water slides with hardly any people. What we LOVED was the new Perfect Day in coco cay. Splash away bay was perfect. Our daughter could have spent all day there so much fun for the kids. We walked around and spent time in the beach. Again clean, fun and amazing time. The food there was the best. Great steak sandwich, amazing mango water, fresh fruit etc. Shows: we attended two of the main shows and the ice show. What can I say about the ice show except WOW. The drone opening was amazing and the performers were top notch. Overall the staff was amazing. So friendly, went out of their way to help and just loved their experience there which showed. Sometimes you find some staff who were burned out but not on this ship. Kudos to all! Read Less

I couldn't be happier w my first experience w/ Norwegian Cruise Lines. Thank you for thinking of everything - especially the ice cold face cloths when reboarding this ship from being at Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay. I will definitely be booking any and all future cruise trips with NCL. I absolutely loved the NCL crew who always got the party started and made sure to keep the party going. The food at every restaurant was delicious and the servers and staff were extremely friendly. I would recommend Norwegian Cruise Lines to all of my family and friends. This trip was a perfect getaway. My favorite part was the open bar. The bartenders were courteous and they know how to make the best tasting drinks. I was happy that they were not stingy w the liquor in the mixed drink, too! Mark my words... you will be seeing me again! Read Less

I heard so much about the food and activities with Norwegian that I decided to be my first cruise experience, and I don’t regret it. Perfect cruise, employers and facilities. I really enjoyed everything from the karaoke bar to the mega party at Bliss haha. Bahamas was wonderful and also the Cay, I’m looking forward to travel with you again. Noelia (guest service agent) was so helpful, kind and very attentive. She definitely deserve all the good things. The bartenders were wonderful, like Errol from Local bar...he was very cool, funny, and respectful. The food was AMAZING, gosh.... everything about the food was wonderful. I heard people there saying that Norwegian is better cooker than Royal. I really wanted to go to Cuba (that was the main reason for go with you) but I don’t regret my week with. For my first time been on a cruise I can say that im definitely coming back. Ahh and also I Met some amazing people! Read Less

We booked this cruise to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We had planned to go to Cuba but because travel to that country was recently and suddenly revoked, NCL sent us to the Bahamas. We are very satisfied with the compensation from NCL. It is very generous especially considering it was out of their control. The ship was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We won our bid for a room upgrade and were given an aft-facing balcony room from a porthole room. The room was the perfect size for the 2 of us. The balcony had 2 chairs, a lounger and a table. If you are positioned closer to the sliding doors, it felt very private. If you are standing at the railing everyone above and to the sides can see you. Not a big deal for me. Our room steward, Wil, knew my name even before I met him. He had met my husband the day before and when he saw us together in the hallway the next day he said to us, "Hello Tom. And you must be Samantha. I am Wil. Nice to meet you." This was an impressive attention to personal details that I appreciated. He was always smiling every time we encountered him. We felt the vibrations from the engine, having this room, but it was not terribly disruptive. I would book another aft-facing balcony. We were close to the Garden Cafe, just 3 floors up, and would walk up and grab some snacks or a drink and bring them back to our room. We dined primarily in the dining rooms and the food was always good. Enough variety and the service was great. We also ate at Cagney's. They served one of the best ribeyes I have had anywhere and I live in cattle country. I will definitely dine there on our next trip. The sides were not memorable however. We also ate at Le Bistro. It was an intimate and quiet atmosphere for our anniversary dinner. Our server, Joshua was outstanding and he would playfully banter with the other server, both seeming to enjoy their jobs. Tip: Find the restroom before you go in. I got up during our meal and was directed outside of the restaurant. I never did find it. These were the best desserts we had all trip at Le Bistro. Bars are plentiful on this ship. We hit about 6 of them on our trip just to pick up a drink and carry-on. All had fast service except the poolside bar. This was because they were inundated all of the time. Not the fault of the bartenders. They worked quickly to keep up with the demand. I found it faster to go to the bar on the 12th deck, one deck up from the pool, then to wait at the poolside bar in that line. The bar in the sushi restaurant was rarely busy and they will serve you even if you don't eat. But the appetizer we had was good. FYI, we were told that it was ship policy not to serve drinks neat or to serve shots. All drinks must be poured over ice or mixed with soda or a mixer. However, I was able to order "after dinner drinks" like Frangelico or Gran Marnier, neat, in the restaurants. The only on board entertainment we took in was the adult comedian show, Landry. He was funny and I wasn't offended but he was crude. We walked by a one man piano bar show in the Atrium area that looked very entertaining but it seemed all of the seats were occupied so we moved on. We went to the White Hot party on Wednesday night of our sailing but we sat on the upper deck and watched the party going on below us. Everyone was having a blast dancing and listening to the music, us included. We spent some time in the casino. It was pretty crowded but I managed to get a seat at the roulette table on 2 separate occasions. It had a $10 minimum bet on our sailing and the colored chips are $2 chips. I have never encountered $2 chips before. Drink service here was lacking. For that matter, drink service was lacking next to the pool as well. We had a person serving cups of water on one occasion only. If we wanted a drink anywhere other then a meal, we had to walk up to a bar and get it ourselves, this included bottled water and soda pop. This didn't bother us much though. We got off of the ship in Freeport and walked the meager shops here. There are a few restaurants, small eateries and shops. We bought a few souvenirs and had some conch fritters that were ok. The locals were very friendly and we felt comfortable here. This port is very small and there isn't much to do if you don't book an excursion. We were exhausted from the previous days travels and wanted to enjoy some downtime on the ship and the port so we opted not to do an excursion here. We booked the Pearl Island excursion in Nassau. We were one of five ships in port that day and the port was extremely crowded! I was so glad we booked an excursion that took us away from the main hub of activity. Pearl Island was beautiful and quiet. Tip: If you are one of the first groups to arrive, don't stop at the first beach area you encounter. Keep walking down the island until you get to the private cabana areas and you can't go further. This area is quiet and we had it to ourselves for an hour and a half. We were luckily the first of 4 groups to arrive that day. They had clamshell lounges that are fee free and we had one of these all day. We brought our own snorkeling gear and were able to see lots of small fish near the rocks on the beach area. The water was pretty shallow. It would have been great for small kids. The drinks here were not strong and expensive. A 16oz drink was $14. A bottle of beer was $7. The provided lunch was delicious. Fish, BBQ chicken, rice and plantains. I wish we had more time here. 3 hours was not enough but I appreciated that they staggered the groups of guests so the island was never overcrowded. As we were leaving, the owner of the island came by our boat to see if we had enjoyed our visit. He said he kept the tour groups small on purpose for that reason. On the way back they took the boat by a few celebrity houses. That was fun. We were looking forward to a relaxing day at Great Stirrup Cay. It started out cloudy as soon as we boarded the tender. Tip: If you go down to board before 9am, you can get right on. After 9am, they assign you to a group and you have to wait to be called to board. Once on the island, we kept walking past all of the first groups of chairs. Tip: If you like the peace and quiet, don't stop at the first groups of chairs you find. Walk all the way to the private cabana area, at the end of the island, and this beach is more isolated, less crowded and there are rocks to snorkel around. There was a food truck, bathrooms and gazebo bar all nearby. Tip: They served beer in cans so bring a koozie. On this day we had about an hour before the rain started. And it never went away. It was just hard rain or light rain. This island was beautiful and I really wanted to enjoy it all day but the rain ruined it. I would love to go back on a dry day sometime. Since NCL owns this island, everything was included and it was all good. I recognized some of the crew from the ship working on the island as well. These people never get a break. LOL! Wonderful, hardworking people from all over the world. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. We have already booked another cruise with NCL to the Mexican Riviera in March and we will take our kids this time. We cannot wait to share the cruise experience with them. Read Less

We wanted a soon experience to the Bahamas, we booked our trip for the same month! It was amazing, every starting the greet from nice staff, the food from the dining restaurants, activities, we had fun at the hot white party! The activities at the Bliss were amazing and both of Joel Meyers show were incredible! My room was impecable the hole time! They would come and fix the extra couch for my son and made him fell cozy. I signed up my son for the Teens program and it was super easy for him to make new friends which was great so at the private island he had who to entertain with. At the private island I really don’t have enough words for the Amazon beach! So clear and just great to snorkel and swim with the manta rays and so much colorful fishes!! I would definitely go again in a heartbeat!! Read Less

Lifelong dream. Wanted a nice, smaller venue, not 4,500 people. Loved cruise. Our cruise director Jasper was amazing. He attended every game show or magic show with hints and tips to make our cruise fantastic. Joel Meyer was amazing illusionist/mentalist. The Crossings restaurant was the best on ship for us, particularly one waiter Nadil. The Garden cafe is a buffet. It was also very good. As mentioned, Jasper discussed on Saturday night that the excursions on their private island would all start around 11 am and tenders would start at 8, such would be a good time to go over. I am so glad he did. We had as terrific time. Then we headed back as 2 tenders full with about 400 people each was going to island. That left the Sky pool almost empty which was amazing for a fews hours. Norwegian Sky was clean and every crew member was very nice. Guitar by Angel was a pleasure to listen to in the Atrium lounge. Really enjoyed 2 or 3 shows with him. And you can forget the "washy, washy" ladies at the entrance to every buffet food venue. Amazing, sweet ladies spraying your hands before buffet. Read Less
