Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

Traveled with my husband and two teens. Not much to do for teens. Teen club was a huge disappointment. Ship was way too crowded. Couldn't get even 1 chair near the pools. People put their stuff on the chairs for the entire day. You're constantly online waiting, even sometimes at the buffet. Food is fine, very repetitive by the 3rd day. Kids had the soda package. Half the machines ...

Not Well Maintained Ship!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Summit

We took a cruise to celebrate Spring Break. We departed from Miami Terminal G. Upon first arrival in the terminal, the age and lack of cleanliness were apparently going to foreshadow the remainder of the trip. While everyone in the terminal was very nice, it just was not up to the Celebrity status that we have come accustomed to. Our first stop was in Key West which did go smoothly. It was ...

Just my opinion on Oasis/ Seas 7 Night West Car...

Everything is a lot more crowded than you expect. You stand in line a lot. Lines for the buffet, lines for getting on and off the boat, lines for ELEVATOR, lines for any and all food or snacks. I would rather pay a bit more and travel with fewer people. Kids are everywhere unsupervised. People let their children run around by themselves. You can't get near a hot tub or pool. Even in the ...

Feeling Cuts to Pay $11 Billion Pandemic Bond Debt

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Independence of the Seas

Cruise #6 with RCI since 2012. Cost cutting to pay the $11B in pandemic bond debt has really hurt the experience. Food quality and options have declined. Service is hit or miss, with MDR and Windjammer service noticeably worse. Nickel and Diming ($20-ing and $40-ing) for things that aren't worth paying for (e.g. $35 for the escape room, $2 to play skee ball for 30 seconds) -- even the teenagers ...

Not the best, but could have been worse.

App was slow, Didn't hide events that were full and often hid prices till you got to the event. Food quality was inconsistent, some days it would be amazing, others bad. They nickel and dime you as well as having every event on ship consistently overpriced. An extreme lack of vegan food, which i was assured there would be plenty of options for. Would have also appreciated if the game systems they ...

Mostly good, but the bad was really bad.

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Norwegian Sun

We're not among those that are habitual cruisers. At 62, we've probably been on 15 in our lifetime. We like the convenience once in a while and just the ease of travel and leisurely feel. Have been on Cunard, RC, and Celebrity. This is our 2nd with Norwegian (first was right before pandemic in Hawaii). While I'd say the lines overall are similar, Norwegian is probably my least favorite. ...

MSC MAGNIFICA needs lots of work!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Magnifica

Ship is older and fewer amenities but in good shape. Smoking infiltrated all of us anytime we were near a smoking area or the casino. Why is any cruise line catering to the .5% of people who smoke to the detriment of the other 99.5%? The buffet food was horrible. Industrialize food, no variety, missing basic stuff e.g. croutons on salad bar). Dinner in the MDR was much better. ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Encore

As an experienced cruise traveler, I've been on countless voyages over the past two decades, cruising with family early on and then increasingly venturing out solo. Most of my cruises in the 2000s and 2010s were on major lines like Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Carnival. In the 2020s, I've sailed with Virgin Voyages, Holland America, Princess, and Celebrity among others. This Norwegian Encore ...

The ship was a bit dated and in big need of painting and refurbishing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good. The shows were lacking for sure. They had a great band Lady and the Vamps in the Ocean Plaza and a few other great musicians but that was about it. No productions or dancing. I’m just giving you the honest opinion. A few tips were added on our receipts as ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Oceania Vista

First timers on Oceania. Embarkation in Miami was great. Quickly checked in and right onto the ship. We had one of the small suites, penthouse. Beautiful interior. Oversized outside veranda with loungers and 2 deck chairs was wonderful. Tons of storage space. Bathroom very nice. Although the shampoo/soap etc portrayed as something special...not...and bottles very hard to dispense. ...
