Had lost of fun - but one BIG problem

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Seaside

The embarkation process was fast and easy, we were on the ship in no time. BUT - Upon embarkation we went to the little kiosk right away to link our cruise cards with one credit card for our family of 4. After that, only 2 of the key cards were working, 1 for each room we had. We scanned our cruise cards at the little kiosk – my name was assigned to my daughter, my son's name - to my ...

Other family members have been on amazing cruises and that's why we decided to book up for this NEW super cruise. WOW To look at it's breathtaking, higher than an apartment block... sleek and very inviting. The decor I honestly couldn't fault. The interior was designed magnificent (with things I wouldn't even have thought of...) I loved the fact there were hand wash facilities going ...

How do you average 2 great days and 1 tragedy?

My mom had a brief window when she felt well enough to go on a short cruise to Cuba which she had always wanted to do. We were lucky to have 10 family members able to join. It was a special treat to be able to all get together. I don't know how to describe a trip with very good and very bad events. Day 1 Havana - It was such a great learning experience in Cuba. The old cars are ...

We chose this cruise because we were going with family and they liked Norwegian and were Platinum members. The waiters at all of our dinners were very slow. It took a long time to get our food. Refills were very hard to get. We ordered the birthday package for our son and a cake for one of our specialty dinners and the cake was sitting in our room when we got their the first day which was not what ...

Nickel and Dime you to death!

Will not go on NCL in the future. We loved the ports, enjoyed our time on tours. Nice ship, poor management. They charge extra for everything. Experienced cruiser so no excuses for all the nickel and dime extras. Even charge for some of the entertainment. Never before on a ship that you have to schedule a time to see a show. Disembarkation a nightmare at best. This cruse ship lets the guests ...

Haven Embarkation - NCL put you in a tiny room and then took us upstairs to a holding area similar to an airline gate area. The small room is tiny and the new terminal will take care of that lame first impression. Disembarkation - Very unfair to NCL to complain because this cruise was the one where the crew member went over and could not be found at sea when we went back to look for him. ...

I decided to take my family on this new ship from MSC. We had traveled before on the Divina last year and we had a great time. This is a new ship so I expected much more from this one. Unfortunately it was not like that. Ship cleanliness on public bathroom was terrible. Buffet food selection was the same bay after day. Cabin bathroom, was horrible you cannot sit comfortably on toilet. Don't ...

Not What We Expected

We took the Caribbean cruise on the new ship MSC Seaside, advertised as the best in line for this cruise. We were in a group who travel together at least once a year and have done a few cruises together as well as some alone. This cruise was a disappointment. If I rate it amongst the past cruises it comes at the bottom of the list. Why? A cruise is a special all paid in holiday where you expect ...

Embarkation: Quick and easy. The design requires each passenger to walk through where photos are taken. There is no way around this. We politely said "no thank you" and walked through. They did try to convince us further however politely moved on. We like to take our own photos so nothing against the cruise line for trying. Arriving onboard: Prior to sailing we knew we had to ...

We liked the itinerary of an overnight in Havana and that the cruise was only 4 nights, We chose an oceanview cabin which was quite small but good enough for a short cruise. Would not want to spend 10 or 12 days in such close quarters. We did not do the ship's excursion in Havana as I had booked a private all day tour for 4 of us. It was considerably less expensive than the ship's tour and we ...
