Our lucky cruise...not sure how many but it seemed to be over 100 15 year old teenage girls from Argentina celebrating womanhood !! They obviously were not properly chaperoned. They girls would adjust their bikinis into a g string and wear that into Garden cafe with only a t shirt for covering. I actually saw one girl in a bikini... decided to change shorts in the dining room. Looking at bare ...
My husband and I chose this ship due to wanting a short getaway and check out a different cruise line. The ship is beautiful aesthetically. The staff (the few than can understand and speak English) were unconcerned and just there to do a job. No one smiles, greets or carries any conversation until the last day of the cruise, then everyone wants to wish you a nice day!
Food was the worst ...
Going into this cruise we knew that it was European clientele & staff. That said, I've sailed many European lines and the service on this ship was, to put it simply, horrific! 4000+ passengers and one single line to check in. No wait staff in bars/lounges at night, or simply one to serve everyone. Beware of "free" beverage vouchers with Fantastica package. Vouchers only good for drinks up to ...
We wanted to take our grandchildren (who are 5 and 7) on a July 4th cruise. We were told that there would be fireworks and a children's pool playground. That children's pool was a fountain. No fireworks. Big let down - I fired the travel agent. Although there were a lot of children on the ship, the 2 times we used the children's club there were no kids there.
Our cabin was on the 8 floor below ...
We chose this cruise line to do something different. We have been on Norwegian, Royal C., Celebrity and Carnival. We booked at the Boston Travel Show in February and it seemed like a good deal at the time. There were some good things about the ship: The main staircase was to die for, most of the decor was elegant, the room overall was spacious and the balcony was very nice. The crew was was ...
Wanted a multi-generational ship. What we got was a cruise without an identity. Ship is too large for a staff that is not well trained. Crew was polite enough, efficient to the point of being mechanical. Most were not very knowledgeable about anything but MSC talking points. Robots could have been programmed to at least have some personality and be able to tell you something about ports of ...
SO MANY ISSUES- SO LITTLE SPACE.
The constant closing of and working on the pools, railings and other parts of the boat with smelly toxic materials while we were on-board did not make for a great experience. Parts were falling off in our shower and it was a magic trick to flush the toilet. We were told our room would have a panoramic view, but their definition of panoramic was a "big window". ...
This cruise was sold through a travel agent - we expected this cruise to be exotic dressy and fun after reading the dress code review - we expected it to be cosmopolitan - we had high standards of the cruise ship and decor -!
We were so disappointed the first time cruising and it has put me off - there was o dress code - it was a tired ship - it stunk of tobacco in the casino and a bar area ...
The ship should be retired. Although the cruise was only four nights, the amenities on this ship are severely lacking.
Worse than that I brought a group of ten people and booked eight staterooms. One person from my office couldn't go and so one of the staterooms ended up being vacant. I was told when we boarded that after the ship sailed we would be ale to move one of the doubles to the empty ...
The ship needs major work. Rust spots everywhere, rooms very average and food was average. The snack menu for after hours eating was horrible. I brought 2 teen age grandchildren with me and the ship had very little for them to do. The shore excursion were a major disappointment. Its better to find your own than to pay the ridiculous prices they have. The shore excursions staff tell you one thing ...
