The entire experience was different in a good way. No cruise director and 10,000 announcements, no kids, no lines, etc.
A pleasant change!
Made to order food! No Buffets!
Restaurant were nice, not crowded!
Cruise did not feel crowded.
Elevators are great, no waiting for them!
The Virgin approach to everything was a positive change!
Shows were not very good, more for ...
We have cruised before on other cruise lines and we were attracted to trying a Virgin cruise becuase it is adults only. Overall, we would give this cruise 9/10 rating.
The food was really great at all of the restaurants but the highlight was definitely The Wake which we visited for both breakfast & dinner. We also really enjoyed the vibe, food and drinks at The Dockhouse. Only negative thing ...
In preparation for any trip, I read as many reviews as I can. I am submitting this short review of our recent Harmony of the Seas cruise in the hopes that someone might find it helpful.
My husband and I wanted to take our adult children on a special trip to celebrate my retirement from 30 years of teaching. We decided upon Harmony of the Seas because we wanted to have a multitude of activities ...
We chose Virgin simply because it was an adult only cruise. The staff was amazing, fun, and friendly and the other sailers were all about having a great time!!!
Our favorite thing about the cruise was that we were able to meet amazing fun people, party like rock stars, eat like kings and queens, and never worry about over indulging.
I do have one complaint, that it was difficult to locate ...
This was our 2nd cruise with Virgin and we wanted to go to the Dominican Republic. The timing was right also to celebrate a birthday! However, the itinerary changed two days before departure and we wound up going to Turks & Caicos instead of Dominican Republic. We had a great time in Turks & Caicos so it worked out! There were many fun excursions offered and Virgin made it easy to book them and ...
I have a few things I would like to bring to attention. Only 1 adult pool for about 3000 adults so crowded while swimming. You have to pay a service charge fee PER PERSON in each room 20$ a day. Hopefully that will be split with every crew member because the housekeeper made our beds and gave us clean towels, don’t think it should be that much of a service charge everyday for only a few things to ...
Where do I start, let's start by saying I have been on 5 cruises and this was my 6th one. The ships I have been on were RC, Carnival and the old Britanice. So I have done my fair share of cruising, I think I would know the good and bad. We went on this ship for a family vacation with my grown children, MIL and SIL. Of the members who went on this trip 3 out of 7 like everything, 1 kind of liked ...
This was the first time my family and I went on this cruise. What really got us was the adults only. It was great not having any kids running around. The food was really good, one of the best food from a cruise so far. Room was clean and comfortable to stay in. We loved the balcony especially the hamachi. The tablet remote that controlled the whole room was nice except they should put music on the ...
We chose VV because of the no kids aspect. We had a blast. Food was mostly great, cabin was great. Embarkation and debarkation were a BREEZE. We showed up with our carryons (we didn't check bags or use the porters since we didn't have huge suitcases). We showed up at our assigned time of 2:30 and went straight to our cabin which was ready immediately.
Our main complaint was the pool - so ...
We have been on 5 prior cruises with Carnival. This was our first time with Norwegian. The biggest difference between Carnival and this NCL Sky was the quality of the food and the age of the passengers. Carnival seemed to have a younger crowd, while NCL seemed to have older families and a handful of children. In our opinion, NCL's food was higher quality and we did not tire of the choices. The Sky ...
