Our main purpose for going on this cruise was to get together with relatives that we don't see very often. We weren't particularly interested in any of the 3 stops (San Juan, St. Maarten, Haiti) but looked forward to a week in the sun after a cold winter.
Positives: Food was excellent in all of the several venues that served free meals (we didn't try any of the specialty restaurants,) as good ...
Second time on the Allure in two and a half years. The first time blew us away. The second time was just another cruise. After having the drink package for the first time on the first cruise on the Allure I felt like it was a fair deal. Trying different high end cognacs(hennessyXO) , aged scotch(mcallen 12yr double cask), tequilas (don julio 1942), aged rums...etc in the Champagne bar for a ...
I will start out by saying that the cruise was great. The quality of service, food, entertainment for kids and adults were all spectacular. The onboarding experience was super quick.
What I would like to review is the Key Experience.
We purchased "The Key" for our family of five. One of our kiddos was under 6 years old so she didn't have to pay.
The following benefits were to be ...
BIG ship for sure but only feels crowded at times. Upon entering the ship we were met with....nothing. No welcome drink. No information about cabin availability. No information on the available open restaurants. We were just assailed by crew trying to sell us stuff. I suggest going to the main desk to get a copy of the Cruise Compass and escape the embarkation madness as soon as possible. I do not ...
I was disappointed on this cruise. My bag never made it to my room. I had to find it myself - at 5pm. That is unacceptable! The food was good and I like having the same table every night that was a plus. My cabin mate felt the rug was very dirty in our room. In the Windjammer they have the cruisers serve themselves - that is not good because that can spread disease very quickly. That is why ...
Friends picked out the ship as they liked the amenities and timing.
From the start they screwed up our room keys and dining arrangements.
Keys to our room were missing. Other passengers had them and dropped them off at our room . Although our friends and us requested to be seated together we were assigned separate tables in different zones. It took quite a bit of scrambling and assistance ...
SHIP
Layout is interesting and fun atmosphere. Feels like a small city on the seas.
ROOM
Interior stateroom was small but still comfortable.
MAIN DINING
Service is great. Everything you could expect.
FOOD
Not impressive at all. Maybe you should consider specialty restaurants because there isn’t anything special happening at the buffet or main dining. But if you have to add ...
After an initial cruise on Disney Wonder, I wanted to experience a mega-ship. Also, since we invited my inlaws (my wife's parents, her brother, sister in law and four kids) for their first ever cruise, we wanted to make sure there is enough to do, and the price was not so high that they would regret the trip.
With limited cruising experience, here are some positives and negatives of Allure of ...
Went with a group of friends who had been on the sister ship a year or two ago and liked it. Boarding was easy as was exiting ship on last day, well organized. Entertainment top shelf, shows were all terrific, Ma Mia cast exceptional. They also started in the other main show as well. Food overall was very good and plentiful. Ate mainly at main dining room at night, waiters bent over backward to ...
We have sailed before on other cruise lines and wanted to try Royal Caribbean Allure of the seas... we did not pick the itinerary thats for sure.. We chose the Allure for the size and things to do on board..
