We choose this cruise because of the itinerary , Panama Canal , Costa Rica , Guatemala , all those countries we haven't been ..and who are very interesting .
The cabins are not very spacious , but correct .
No need to take a Penthouse class , anyway the area is exactly the same , it's only the situation on the ship that differs , and you get the help of a butler .
There are 3 restaurants ...
I like smaller ships and have always wanted to go through the Panama Canal. A friend found this 16 day cruise that began in Miami and ended up in our home port of San Francisco with dates that worked for us. We found the ship to be very comfortable, the food was excellent and varied, the staff were very friendly and efficient (and represented 57 countries), and the lectures and activities were ...
We wanted to check out the Panama Canal since it's one of the manmade Wonders of World. We did not realize that this was a repositioning cruise until we were on it (the Pearl is headed up to Alaska for the spring/summer). The itinerary was very good, and since we booked about 8 days before embarkation, the price was extremely attractive. We flew into FLL and rented a car (because we wanted to see ...
We are seasoned cruisers sailing approximately 39 times with Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Norwegian. This was our 6th cruise this year and our second cruise on the Getaway. This last cruise moved us up to the Platinum level and are looking forward to the perks associated with achieving this level.
We were very impressed with the Getaway. The ship is fairly new with a modern ...
Overall, very pleased with the boat and activities. Food was great. Servers were all friendly. We had a handicap accessible room and it was the most spacious of the three NCL boats we have been on so far. Unlocking the door with key card will automatically open door which was great for hubby to enter with his motorized scooter. Drawback to this room was there was a doorbell in hallway which ...
First let me start by saying that we are NOT the most seasoned cruisers. This was only the third cruise we have been on. The first was in 2003 and was such a bad experience that we thought we would never cruise again. The second was in 2013 on the NCL Epic. We had a fabulous time and thought we would try it again. We chose the long itinerary because we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary. ...
I sailed on the Norwegan Getaway for 12 days in November 2015 going to all eastern southern ports. I had a balcony cabin and took the unlimited drink package free and purchased a package to eat in several specialty restaurants. The ship is beautiful and well designed. They were very nice packages to have and it was a very nice trip all in all. Here are the ship facts not the ports:

Regatta through Panama Canal Apr 23, 2015.
Ship — moderate size (650+) but both the main dining room and the entertainment room could not accommodate a full shipload of passengers. On one or two nights the line was very long at 6:30 to get into the dining room. Several times the entertainment room was already full from a previous talk/show and so we could not find seats. We have been on a ...
Overall cruise on the Norwegian Pearl was very enjoyable and the staff was wonderful and very attentive.
Our biggest beef was that wifi is advertised to be free, which typically means (at least in the USA) that you are provided with unfettered access to the internet, but on the cruise free wifi only provides access to NCL internet site, this complicated our communication with family back home ...
