"We chose this cruise for our grandson’s graduation. There were 6 in our party. The good outweighed the bad so I'll just comment on a few items that we were not happy about. Sea days. In past cruises there were..."Read More

Large and busy ship

We didn't choose the cruise,it came as part of a visit to Tenessee. It was a very large ship and very busy as it was half term in some parts of America. There was only one small pool, far too small for the amount of passengers on board, also there's a children's play pool and water slides. This area of the ship was always packed with people, many of whom spent the day drinking alcohol. On ...

First Timer Princess Cruiser - Solid Traditional Cruise Ship & Experience

Review for Royal Princess to Mexican Riviera

Overall score would be closer to 4 than 3 stars. Royal Princess was a solid traditional cruise ship and experience for their great service and good food. As a couple in their mid 30's, we felt we were the youngest on the ship and most of the activities/clientele weren't really catered to us(which is fine because we expected this) but I would not recommend this cruise line for anyone under 40 ...

Cruised same itinerary last February aboard the Royal Princess. This year, the Royal Princess was a completely newer and larger ship. Both cruises (inside room only) were complimentary through a casino promotion . Last year for a small fee was able to upgrade to a cabin with a window. Window rooms do not exist on the 'new' Royal Princess, so this year had to upgrade to a balcony room for a ...

Upon hearing that Carnival was beginning to leave from San Diego, my family decided it would be a great first cruise for 5 year old twins. We took a New Years cruise to fit in winter break. My husband and I have cruised previously (including on Carnival). Embarking was pretty quick and straightforward. We had one of the first embarkation times and made it fairly smoothly on. Getting off the ...

We took the cruise to 4 Pacific Mexican places because we had not been there. The price and dates were also good for us. The towns were interesting. The Princess excursions were reasonably priced, although some turned out to not have a lot to see. Beaches, sun and drinking seemed to be the main reason many took this cruise. We were to board at noon. Since we could not connect from our ...

We sailed on Grand Princess on February 11th, 2020, out of San Francisco and south along the coast of Mexico. We chose this cruise because friends were going, and because we had never visited any of the ports before, so we thought it was a good way to get a snapshot of these ports. The cruise got off to a poor start, which was not the fault of the staff, but we felt we paid for it in ...

Overall we enjoyed the Royal Princess. The staff is excellent with the exception of our room steward who was just average. We returned to our cabin several times later in the day, and it had not been serviced. This also happened at evening turn down. The ship is beautiful and our suite well appointed, however it was very worn with stains on the carpet and couch. The bathroom was "very" ...

First time on Princess line. Embarking and Disembarking was very organized. Tight security getting on and off ship for excursions. One excursion only and it was not so good. The Estuary tour by our guide "Polo" who very knowledgeable was for the most part ok until he put us in water taxi for trip back to ship. At that point he decided to show us how he feeds the wild life and had a bucket of ...

I have been on several cruises before... always on Disney, so naturally the bar was set extremely high. The reason I was on this particular cruise was because it was gifted to me by my mom. I had read alot of review about the carnival imagination before I embarked (on this site in particular) there were alot of reviews in which people's complaints were things I was not bothered by, there were ...

We have cruised many times (with another cruise line). This was the lowest quality of food, variety of food, lack of customer service, and mediocre entertainment that we have experienced. Our room with a balcony was good. Lots of space. The mattress and pillows were not to our liking (too soft) but tolerable. Our cabin steward was great . Bar/drink staff were hard to find many times around the ...
