One of Our Best Cruises

Review for Celebrity Solstice to Mexican Riviera

My husband and I have taken similar cruises to Mexico a number of times, but this cruise was really special. One of the many reasons was that the ship was only about one third full which made our experience really wonderful. We had a suite so our embarkation was effortless. Our suite wasn’t the biggest, but it had a good sized balcony and a nice sized living room and bedroom. The only drawback ...

I did the Mexican Riviera Cruise from San Pedro (Port of Los Angeles) departing 10/29/22, returning 11/5/22. My assessment of the Cruise Line, Ship, and Service is very fresh. I originally booked/purchased a Veranda Room, on the 7th Floor, midship. I opted to participate in Move-Up and my bid was accepted to move up to Aqua Class. I had cruise credit, I purchased the fastest wifi, the ...

Great Ship, Excellent Crew

Review for Navigator of the Seas to Mexican Riviera

After canceling more cruises due to COVID then I've ever been on I was very much looking forward to finally getting on this ship with my family and my neighbors' family. Unfortunately, not all of us would make it, as my son got sick the day before sailing and my wife decided to stay home with him. That was the beginning of a really weird weekend, but the weirdness had nothing to do with the ship ...

The Mariner doesn't look/act like a Regent Ship

Review for Seven Seas Mariner to Mexican Riviera

1. We are platinum Regent travelers. And have taken cruises on many other ships too. Before covid we sailed on all the Regent ships, including the Mariner (8 yrs. ago). We did 2 cruises with the Splendor earlier this year, making up for lost time since the pandemic. Let me begin that we have been spoiled with the Explorer and now the Splendor. The Mariner is not the same ship we enjoyed years ...

Regent Test Gets Five Stars

This was our first time on Regent. (Previous cruises were on Princess and Holland America). We are signed up for the 2024 WC on the Mariner and wanted to test out Regent, the ship and the suite on a shorter cruise before committing to the full WC. We were fortunate to be able to get the same suite for both cruises so it was an apples to apples comparison. The public areas of the ship are beautiful ...

Great crew, some good, some could be improved.

Mostly went on this as had to fit in a narrow timing window, been to all destinations before. Getting on was very smooth. Getting off had a goofy and really unnecessary shuttle than was 20 minutes from onboarding to offboarding and I think it went less than 200 yards and created a huge surge in Lyft/Uber pricing. Dinner choices decent. Portions a bit inconsistent, would help to label more ...

1st Celebrity Cruise .......... Maybe Our Last!

Review for Celebrity Solstice to Mexican Riviera

My wife and I have cruised four times before. Twice op Carnival and twice on NCL. We were very excited to book our first Celebrity cruise, however I have to say the experience definitely didn't match the hype! Like other posters have said, the ship is somewhat outdated, but overall we thought the ship held up pretty well for its age. For us the dining was a disaster! We ate in the dining room ...

This was a quick get away while our golf course closed for overseeded. We were able to drive to the port as only 51/2 hours away. Happy not to have to fly to cruise. Was our 3rd cruise since the reopening after Covid. More staff than passengers which made us feel pampered. Entertainment was good and always just happy to be cruising. Ports of call of no interest to us as have been on ...

No so much of a 'miracle'

Review for Carnival Miracle to Mexican Riviera

User Avatar

Chose this cruise because of the cost. Guess you get what you pay for. Stayed in balcony Cabin #8241. While the cabin was the expected size, found the TV extra small, and a lack of channels to watch. Half of channels were Carnival oriented. No good movies, and no news channels. Bathroom shower floor very slippery and no grab bars provided in the shower, which made taking a shower ...

Disappointing

Review for Carnival Miracle to Mexican Riviera

I have been sailing with Carnival for years now just made Platinum. The last two cruise’s have been very disappointing. The food is horrible and not even free anymore if you want to eat something decent you have to pay extra. Room service cost now and the menu sucks they have you paying for pizza you can get free up stairs. Entertainment during the day was only trivia all day and music on lido ...
