Windstar is the best small ship cruise experience!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Star Breeze

This was our fourth Windstar cruise. This journey took us from Barcelona to Lisbon. Even the before and after cruise days at Windstar selected host hotels are great! Our previous three cruises have been on the Windstar ships with sails. This cruise was on Star Breeze which is an all suite ship without the sails. We miss the sails but greatly enjoyed the extra space in our cabin suite with a ...

We went on the Greek island cruise on the Wind Star in June 2017. It was an amazing experience. The food was wonderful as was the staff. They were all very friendly and took the time to get to know you. We loved the ship. Our cabin had plenty of storage room and was bigger than expected. The excursion selections were well thought out with an excellent variety. Being a smaller cruise ship, there ...

Wind Surf - our home away from home!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Wind Surf

Being welcomed back to the Wind Surf by our Captain Gerry Hogan and his spectacular crew made us feel as if we were being welcomed home. This particular cruise from Dublin to Edinburgh was a dream for us and almost unattainable after a sudden serious health issue earlier in the year. Seeing "the Surf" tied up at the dock brought tears to our eyes. Being greeted by staff who remembered us from ...

Great experience last year on Windstar Pride, wanted to try the sailing ship. Took two back to back cruises, starting in Lisbon, joining another in Dublin, ending in Edinburgh. Just fabulous cabins, bathrooms, great dining, good music in lounge, interesting historical lectures by a very informed historian. Wonderful service and extremely friendly and kind crew. Captain always actively engaged with ...

Our first cruise with Windstar, but definitely not our last!

We took a cruise with Windstar on the Wind Star to visit the Greek Isles. It was our first time with this cruise line. Every single aspect of the cruise exceeded my expectations! From start to finish, (nearly) everything was perfect. The yacht, the food, drinks, the crew members (especially the crew members!) all made for a wonderful vacation. We could not be happier! The food was some of the ...

5 Star Cruise, 2 Star Booking

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Star Legend

Before reviewing a wonderful five-star cruise, let me dispense with my booking frustrations with the Windstar office. Without burdening you, may I simply say that the powers-that-be in Seattle need to properly train their representatives, empower them to answer concerns and questions, and then abide by their answers. Should anyone want details, please contact me. Now for the Star Legend cruise ...

Journey to the Greek Isles from Athens

My wife and I did the Treasures of the Greek Isles cruise that leaves from Athens and stops in Nafplio, Mykonos, Kusadasi (Turkey), Patmos, Santorini, and Monemvasia, returning to Athens. We enjoyed the small ship experience and the no dress up requirement. Very relaxing on board, hectic on the daily tours. Windstar picked us up from the airport on time...it was basically a taxi cab. We used ...

Fumes, Food, and Grinding

Very nice cruise--great destinations, most notably smaller islands where big ships couldn't go. Kusadasi was wonderful--dinner at Ephesus was spectactular; food utterly unedible, but setting and light chamber music was extraordinary. Three big problems. Fumes filled the second and first decks on Monday--might have been paint, but more likely adhesives or sealant. Terrible, but no one on ...

After much research and back and forth decison making, we chose this cruise line and a marvelous itinerary. Our experience met and exceeded our expectations by a wide margin. EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL. Delicious food, romantic moments, INCREDIBLE STAFF, Simulating and fun tours, fun activities and more. My wife had special dietary needs and the two chefs-Stany and Nilesh went over the ...

Cruise was good, management is horrible!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Wind Star

The main problem with Windstar, confirmed many times over by other guests onboard, is that their office NEVER responds . If you have an issue, and you will have because they have some serious internal communication issues, forget reaching them by phone, email, mail, or fax. Yes, tried them all. You leave voicemails, they go un-answered. Emails to multiple addresses...forget a response. You ...
