Vilking staff were so helpful kind and efficient. Really wonderful. Food was well presented and consistently good. Regional dishes/wine/beer are included when possible. Don’t forget to ask for regional -included wine or beer.. as it changes. Many meals include both menu ordering and buffet. They individually cared for those with dietary restrictions. Tip: (just ask) I forgot to order my salad ...
The river cruise itself was good, except we could not use the upper deck. First because it rained a little, which we expected, but with the coming of all the low bridges and locks the upper deck was unavailable the majority of the time. Because of this I would not recommend this particular river cruise. The customer service before our trip was not my expected Viking experience. I never received ...
We were on the first voyage for the year. Everything was seamless in the way it functioned! My Cousin referred me to Viking, based on her experiences with Viking in the past. I loved unpacking once for a 2 week vacation in the spring, yet traveling through the heart of Europe! It’s like staying on a floating 5 star hotel!
Only negative thing I can say is that laundry, for some reason, now ...
Excellent crew they give 5 star service. The shore excursions are very informative and in depth for each port. This was my first Viking cruise. The food was outstanding. Our room was very nice and comfortable eventhough we chose the lowest cabin is eas spacious enough the shower was much bigger than on a Princess cruise I went on. The average age of the passengers were mostly older than me but it ...
I chose this cruise because my dear friends louise and don cox recommended it. they have been on 7 previous viking river cruises.
The food was fabulous, the side trips were amazing with wonderful knowledgable guides.
The busses, canal boat, and train used on the side excursions were top of the line.
The waiters, expecially alexandra and rudy, were super efficient and friendly; the ...
Our first Viking Cruise was canceled due to COVID. So when my friend from Kindergarten and her husband invited us to join them, we immediately said yes. The Alsvin Ship cruise and crew were amazing. Every crew member, the hosts, the servers, the receptionists, the housekeepers, the chefs, the captains, the tour guides were so very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Prior to embarking on the ship, we ...
On March 6,2024 we arrived in Cairo and were met immediately by a Viking guide who quickly moved us through immigration and out to a waiting van. The airport was very hectic and it would have been most difficult to negotiate it without the help of Gerkis, our Viking guide. After a harrowing drive through the chaotic streets of Cairo, we arrived at the Fairmont Nile City Hotel. It was definitely ...
We were aboard the Viking M/S Antares for a Nile River cruise, round trip from Luxor. The Viking tour actually begins and ends in Cairo with land excursions.
The ship has a traditional design and the interior is very warm with lots of wood and marble finishes. The french balcony stateroom was extremely large (430 sq ft) and very comfortable. Our cruise was about 2/3 full with only 44 guests so ...
The ship was beautiful the food was excellent and service was great. Bartenders very personable and knowledgeable. The bad was the excursions. Getting from the hotel to the ship involved waiting at a lunch place for 3 hours and getting from the ship to the Memphis hotel took a 5 hour bus ride and a 1 hour wait on line to check into hotel. They should have handed out the keys on the bus as you came ...
This was a dream cruise for me and a high school friend. The time of year was perfect because it became early spring and none of the towns were crowded. Saw UNESCO castles and churches and Roman ruins -- and got to know some very sweet small towns where we docked by just walking around.
Everything on the ship was ideal, from room to views to tours to food. It was fun to try the regional dishes ...
