We decided to add the cruise at the end of a land holiday in Italy and after 3 days in Venice. Check-in was very slow. No food or water was offered on a hot day. Not sure why staggered check-in times were required when all passengers were in the terminal at the same time when check-in opened. Our cabin in the middle of the ship was very nice. Champagne on ice in our cabin was a nice touch. ...
I’m currently on the Vision. To say the LEAST I’m disappointed and underwhelmed. The food has been disgusting and I can’t get iced tea after 10 pm or before 11:30 am. This is not my first time cruising on RC, I was on the Grandeur of the Sea before. My experiences comparatively have been night and day. The only thing that gets an A+ is our waiter in the main dining room (food also sukd). He was ...
We went on this cruise because family members invited us. We didn't like the ship at all. It is very claustrophobic and feels more like being in a shopping mall than on a cruise ship. You can't see out when on the main entertainment decks and bars. The food was awful, tasteless and overcooked. Drink service really slow. This was our 11th cruise on various cruise lines and was definitely the ...
Took this ship over to Barcelona and back to Port Canaveral for the "replace the whale tale" transatlantic cruises. Wow, what a mistake! First mistake was not knowing that you don't take a cruise on a ship that's going into or out of dry dock because there will be contractors working on various aspects of the ship all during the cruise. Fortunately, we weren't bothered by this in our cabin ...
The ship is very old and the furniture is ripped and needs cleaning. We were surprised how dirty the ship is. Carpet desperately needs cleaning. Service and all amenities are cut back. The cabin service has been cutting back. The Windjammer food is HORRIBLE. Cold burgers are served. Most dishes are very tasteless. I really not looking forward to the food on this ship. The specialty restaurants ...
The ship was decorated well and largely clean and comfortable.
There was little reprieve from the noise of people (there were lots of groups talking loud languages), not as much space as other cruise liners we've been on, the entertainment was loud, there was music in almost every space we went in. We often retreated to our cabin for some peace, our teenager son often in there as the teen club ...
Booked a European cruise that sailed out of Southhampton in October. First the good. The meals were good. The Garden Cafe buffet was actually good with a variety and selection that pleased multiple tastes. We also enjoyed the the food at Cagney's and Moderno. They make good food for specialty diners. The crew were very friendly and attentive to doing great service in housekeeping, food, ...
Uniworld packages 3 voyages together as "Ultimate France", this covers week 3.
There is no bistro on-board this ship & there were 147 passengers onboard - this might be why dining room service suffered during week 3.
Housekeeping:- cabin was clean and well maintained.
Food:
By week 3, it was very obvious that dishes at dinner were repeating weekly (eg; foie gras brioche, baked Alaska, ...
Unfortunately I am surprised to have to write such a negative review. This was our 2nd cruise on RCC and our 4th cruise totally. Our plans were made with the assistance of a travel agent. My husband and I use wheelchairs to get around. We required assistance to our room to obtain a rental scooter reserved. We boarded the ship afte4 we search for help. They only could take us to the lobby not our ...
Let me start with this: I love cruising. I've been on 15+ cruises, from the Odyssey of the Seas to the Nordic Prince that was retired ages ago, from RCCL to Princess to Celebrity to Norwegian to Holland America, and more. As cruises go, this was one I won't ever do again. This was supposed to be a "Fall Colors" cruise, but we missed the colors by a couple weeks, I think, as most trees were bare ...
