My wife and I booked this cruise to have a week of carefree relaxation and bliss. A penthouse suite, a deck of 500+ feet, a couple of bathrooms, what more could you ask for? We splurged on the Haven experience after reading so many articles that Norwegian has provided to potential guest. Well, what Norwegian says and what Norwegian does is not the same.
If one is going to spend $1,100.00+ ...
We chose this itinerary because we wanted to share the Alaskan wonders with our adult children.
HITS & OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT
HITS:
+ Viewing the glaciers at Glacier Bay and College Fjord were a highlights of our trip. Great commentary by the Onboard Rangers during the visit to each glacier.
+ Dinner Service on the Royal Princess was ...
Firstly, my wife booked this cruise to surprise me as a 50th Birthday gift to celebrate me turning the big 5.0. What a disaster !
The front desk counter 1 male crew was incredibly rude to my wife, and also what seemed like racist intent. She came back to the room crying and I told her to call the Manager immediately which she did. She got hung up on, so she had to ring back again. Nothing was ...
We enjoy sailing from Bayonne New Jersey in the summer- our annual Summer cruise. This cruise was 9 nights so we had bonus days. The terminal now is much more crowded as it used to accommodate smaller ships. When we enter the terminal area, we dropped off our luggage, then proceeded to an outdoor parking lot as the main indoor lot was full. Since we were in a suite, we had an early boarding ...
Our waiter was EXCELLENT!!!
Our stateroom attendant was also great and kept our cabin in tip top shape. Crew was great!
Ship is beautiful.
Food is okay, Windjammer dessert isn't good and they never had vanilla ice cream. Windjammer is too crowded for breakfast.
I would like to see more daytime activities. Not much going on during the day.
Nightlife was pretty good. However ...
We chose this cruise because it is different than any other cruise, it is a crossing on an ocean liner. My daughter and I loved going to tea in the afternoon, sitting out by the pool at the back of the ship, and all the historic photos on board. Having a planetarium is a unique feature for a cruise ship and we attended several times. The late night "snack" is fabulous and is really another ...
I have cruised to Alaska before and NCL is my preferred line. I am an NCL stockholder and am unhappy to write this review. I expected some problems after the restart from COVID and many things can be fixed. However, the worst part was the itinerary. Most of the stops were useless. Instead of Skagway, we went to Haines where there is nothing to do except take the high speed ferry ($79.00 RT) ...
Have taken 14 cruises using several cruise lines… 2 with Princess that were very good experiences….
This one was disappointing on many levels.
1. Customer service pre-cruise weak (45 min waits on phone and reps with no answers)
2. Limited number of excursions- closed out of several eight weeks before cruise
3. Excursions over-priced and mostly sub-par- not seeing much and tour guides ...
This was my family’s first post pandemic cruise, and we went with our extended family. We had high expectations for this cruise as it was my in-law’s 30th cruise with Princess and up until this point, Princess was one of their favourite cruise lines, and they’ve been on a lot of cruises! The Medallion app they so proudly market only works, maybe, half the time. We were told to complete all steps ...
Greatly disappointed compared to previous cruises. Their app is not easy to use, system crashed several times, very slow and confusing. When calling customer service for assistance before the cruise, they seemed confused and not able to clarify pre-boarding tests. During check-in the staff didn't even check out our covid test results! Several nights we were first in line for dinner and requested a ...
