Not enough Gluten Free food. Way too much East Indian food, but it was good but not Every single day! One day of Mexican good and it was bad! A joke. The chocolate mouse jiggled, conscestency of jello and literally No taste. Not chocolate, tho dark, just bla.
Carne asada or carne A Sad Duh! was 3 thin slices beef with a blob of spinach on top. Mexican night dinner in dining room had tacos, a ...
We planned this cruise due to some of the ports we had not been to. Ports were great but really RC you need to retire this ship. If it takes a smaller ship to get into some of these ports then build a few of these small ships and then don't load them up to the gills with people. This ship was cramped, lines long and old. They didn't even have a soda machine to alleviate the lines at the bars. ...
The main reason we chose Viking was they tend to cater to adults more than children. (Sorry, but if I go on a cruise like this, I do not want a bunch of kids running around.) The Viking crew was unbelievably attentive and accommodating. I have been on many cruises and have never been catered to as much as this cruise did. One of the main things that stood out to me, was that they pick you up ...
DW and I are testing the waters for later in life. We did our first cruise ever on RC in Feb and this was our chance to see how Carnival was in comparison.
We did an inside cabin to keep it simple. Took the drink package, did 1 excursion, and some limited extra dining (steakhouse and Cucina).
Two things really jumped out at us between the 2 lines:
The party rarely even pauses on ...
Embarkation was easy, because the ships are small. The food in the dining room was of limited variety, because river ships are small. It was pretty good, but we've usually had better-prepared food on ocean cruises. Similarly, entertainment was very limited, but one shouldn't expect a lot of entertainment on small river cruise ships. One thing has caused us great disappointment. There was no ...
Ncl’s dawn is a logistical nightmare with basic cruise processes. The one tendering port process ran an average of 2 hours late and we were unable to go into dublin after our tour as a result of ncl’s incompetence. Ncl knows how many passengers fit into a tender, how many guests are onboard, how many guests are on ncl tours, and what time they are scheduled to depart. Using only 3 tenders that ...
We have sailed on Celebrity several times, and this was our third TransAtlantic cruise. We selected this particular ship and sailing for the ports of call. We have wanted to see different parts of the British Isles, and wanted to finish the cruise in the U.K. so we could stay in London for the Coronation.
BOTTOM LINE: If you want to skip to the high-level overview, this was an EXCELLENT cruise. ...
We chose this ship because of the ports and the fact that we have sailed on the Norwegian Jewel many times and it was absolutely wonderful. We assumed that this would be of the same quality. We are so wrong.
We were told by the embarkation agent that our priority boarding was not available and we had to get into the long slow line to get on. So much for Platinum Level of loyalty. After more ...
We have sailed on many ships but nothing like Norwegian Dawn. It has taken me this long to formulate my thoughts about this terrible ship. There is no dress code on this ship. We have seen it all. Torn, ripped pants, miniskirts cut clean up to where they shouldn't be and even camel toe pants. Disgusting. The food wasn't bad but lacked variety. They even had beautiful prime rib stakes being ...
This cruise from NYC to Rome was quite interesting. Some good, but far to many missteps by NCL. This was a 16 day cruise from NYC to Rome.
The Good. The entertainment was first rate. "Burn the Floor" and "Six" were both professional presented and satisfying to watch. The various bands around the ship were good. The Syd Norman show was excellent. The combined ship band concert in the ...
