Beautiful Ship With a Few Problems

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

User Avatar

This was our third cruise on Equinox--our fifth with Celebrity. Embarkation was fast and painless and in a new change, our room keys were waiting in the slot outside our rooms. The just took our picture at check in. We were allowed to board at about 1045 and staterooms were available by 1 pm. The ship was freshly out of drydock sporting a dazzling new paint job, new carpets and many interior ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

Booked this cruise , our first , because of the destinations. On boarding yes you can see it is an older ship and needs it’s upgrade due September/ October but in no way is it a rust bucket. Let’s be realistic the price paid reflects the condition. Pay top $ and you will get all the razzmatazz some people seem to expect. Our Junior suite reminded me of my parents caravan from the 70s , ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

User Avatar

This was our first time on the Dream. The Ship seemed a little smaller that the other two Carnival Ships we have been on. The embarkation and disembarkation went better than I expected. Very easy to board the Ship, with very little wait time. We had a Spa Cabin, which is great if you enjoy the Spa. You get some great Spa perks and access to the Thalassotherapy pool, which is awesome!. The room ...

This was not the first time on the ship. No children. "Almost 50 couple" Highest level of Princess Cruiser, Elite. Don't like structure. Never do excursions. Don't do traditional dining. Yes, that type of couple. Dual Income, No Kids (DINK) First, Fort Lauderdale with embarkation and disembarkation is just flawless. We know what to do as experienced cruisers, and they are just ...

The St Lawrence River from Quebec to Kingston

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Canadian Empress

User Avatar

The Canadian Empress is a replica of the old steam operated passenger riverboats that used to cruise in the Thousand Islands of the St Lawrence River. There are of course modifications for the 21st century, even WIFI, so our travel was more comfortable than it would have been in the early 19th century. All travel is done in daylight hours, so you can maximize the scenery. We travelled from ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

User Avatar

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

We chose this cruise as it was our first and the destinations were places we wanted to visit. We missed embarkation photos etc. as the bus was late. The ship was very nice but a little tired. Getting around was extremely confusing and we found our way round with more help from other passengers than the staff. There could have been clearer sign posting. The dining rooms were excellent, the ...

My wife, 10-year-old son and I chose this cruise because it gave us the opportunity to spend some time in London and then cruise into ports we had never been to before. We are a family of three from Saint Augustine, Fl. This was our 37th cruise and 8th cruise on Princess Cruises. We love all the main cruise lines and usually choose the deal and itinerary over the line. I do believe Princess ...

Alaska - Land and Sea

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

Bucket list to see Alaska and it’s beauty. The land portion was most enjoyable. We took the Wilderness Express from Fairbanks to Denali to Anchorage. The train allowed you to see aAlaska not many people get to see. We were lucky to see Denali from the north and south side of the mountain. It was very warm and two of the hotels did not have A/C just fans. The ship was very clean and ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

User Avatar

6-10 Cruises • Age 60s

Ship - As many have pointed out, the Enchantment of the Seas needs some serious maintenance. So much so, that it's not really maintenance anymore. The ship just needs a major dry dock for new paint and varnish. This did not in any way affect our cruise. In fact I really like this ship and its layout. I really hate seeing it so unloved by Royal, but a small ship like the Enchantment isn't the ...
