This was our first Oceania cruise. We have been cruising for 30 years, mostly Carnival (with kids) and Princess. For our 30th anniversary and retirement celebrations we decided to upgrade. Overall, the experience was worth the upgrade. The ship is beautiful, attention to details often overlooked on a budget cruise was impressive, and the food was fantastic.

Some contexts of our cruising experiences in the past. My wife and I have gone on 25 + cruises over 43 years. Our first five and last five on NCL. As time has gone on, we have wanted more of our Cruising Experience. We started with the most inexpensive inside cabin during our honeymoon 43 years ago. Five years ago, we found the NCL Haven and loved it. The Haven Premium was a bit to much for ...
So... the food was great, and every single employee was super friendly. There were just a lot of little irritations throughout the cruise of various kinds, and every employee was *friendly*, but there was definitely a wide range of levels of *competence*, from "very" to "not very".
Our very first issue was getting onto the ship - there was zero indication where we were supposed to go once we ...
We had some credits to use and since we are now in Florida decided to take a short cruise out of Miami. The Summit is an older ship and it shows but is still maintained well. We hadn't been on a cruise ship in a while and were a little disappointed in the food quality. The ports we docked at were repeats for us so we just went on our own way. Cozumel is fun and we took a cab down to Chankanaab ...
We went on this cruise with about 10 other friends. It was convenient as we are all from Arizona and Southern California, so San Diego embarkation was perfect. We drove over the day before with another couple and stayed right across from the port. We last sailed HAL (Oosterdam) on the same Mexican Riviera itinerary back in 2010, so were anxious to see how they compare.

We to cruise in early Dec to relax between the holidays. This cruise was a quiet and peaceful trip as they normally are for us this time of year. Food was good everywhere we ate and we enjoyed the new to us Chopsticks. Only one slow night in MDR, first formal night, which can be expected. The service was good everywhere onboard esp. our stateroom attendant . Only complaint we heard was about the ...
First time on Holland after many cruises on Carnival, RCL and NCL.
CONS: They definitely have an issue with staffing, especially in regards to buffett and main dining rooms. Buffett, they let you choose some items yourself but not others, which leads to big lines. Main dining room you get a glass of wine immediately but any mixed drink, you have to wait 1/2 an hour. Some staff is not as ...
After I read so many negative reviews I didn't expect much for this, my first MSC cruise. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was one of the more enjoyable cruises I have been on in a while.
Good-
The menu in the main dining room was very good and several choices that appealed to me every night. The food was creatively plated, hot and tasty. The service was very good with an amiable ...
I was on a 33-day cruise from Los Angeles to Buenos Aires, Argentina starting Dec. 2, 2022. We sailed along the Pacific Coast with stops in Cabo San Lucas; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Lima, Peru for 2 days; skipped Pisco, Peru due to the coup in Lima; stopped in Coquimbo and Santiago, Chile; skipped Punta Arenas, Chile due to high seas and win and, sailed alternatively through the Strait of Magellan ...
We chose the Dec 1 cruise out of Port Canaveral because we planned to be in Orlando from Dec 5-8 and the cruise returned on the 5th. It had been 20 years since our last cruise. Our embarkation was speedy with the help of Carnival. I had requested a wheelchair assist. The Carnival representative who assisted was wonderful! As were the staff screening passports and taking photos for security. Once ...
