Me and my fiancé was starving until breakfast both nights. Breakfast was good. There was no entertainment you had to pay for everything. Comedy so was boring you had pay $9 person. When it free on other cruise ships. We did the tour of Bahamas and beach the weather was bad couldn’t get the water. No kids. Will never take cruise again it was horrible. Bars to get a drink (even just a water or soft drink) were either closed when they should have been open or understaffed ie 1 staff to 15 people waiting with complex orders like cocktails. Food was basic, very basic. Taste was very plain, unless you wanted to pay extra for the one food restaurant. Kids menu food at best. When you pay for a holiday you expect reasonably good food. Big letdown when you can’t get off ship or have to walk a mile off ship and pay for food. Only good food was the poolside small cafe grill - hotdogs, hamburger and pizza (cheese and sauce). Although this had long lines and wait. Not what you would expect when your trying to holiday. P and O did a better job. Shows were good Read Less

It was by far the worst cruise we have ever been on! The service was terrible! Nobody was friendly. Bartenders are not nice or helpful. The food is absolute trash and the chefs and servers are very very rude. We talked to over 50 people and all of them agreed to never go on a costa again. After 8pm you can’t get anything to eat except for the pizza that they charge you for. Can’t get bottles of water unless you want to pay $8 for a bottle. Anytime food is put out it’s a race to get it first as they run out every meal. There is more things to list then I can even remember. It was terrible and nobody was happy nor did anyone speak English or understand you when you talked to them. Most of the crew would turn there back on you and walk away and not acknowledge you at all. No basketballs or volleyballs available they said they were all rented. No other activities on board. Pools were closed half the time. 4 year old boy couldn’t sit in the hot tub with parents. Drink packages never included everything there was always a catch or scam to charge you for something even with the unlimited drink package. Hotel room service charge daily per person. We have been on many different cruise lines with great experiences. I can only say that we chose this cruise line thinking we would get a different experience. This cruise was to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. We paid for a room with a balcony and wanted a view. Was put in a room with a solid metal balcony and we couldn’t see the sea unless we were standing. Food was absolutely the worst. Over 7 days we had a couple of decent meals. Staff were (for the most part) unfriendly, rude and totally not helpful with issues presented to them. Went to the spa and there were no towels and when I asked staff they told me they didn’t know when they would get any. Broken glass, wet floors, dirty public restrooms. The whole cruise was disorganized and there was little or no communication about a weather “ issue” that kept us from our last port of call. I have to say the Sushi Restaurant was incredible and we ate there twice because the food everywhere else was so bad. Photo gallery charged us for a picture package we never ordered. When we took this issue to Customer Relations we were told that they do that with everyone. They directed us to go to the gallery and get them to remove the charge. We did that, but it took an hour in line to fix this. We really felt this issue should have been resolved by Customer Service. We also paid $240 for a special, supposedly luxury 5 course meal in their seafood restaurant. It could not hav3 been worse food. Not one thing was decent or luxury or anything close to worth the amount we paid for the meal. BTW, we were celebrating our 30th at this meal. No manager or anyone came to our table to check and the next day we made a complaint, again at the customer service department. Their response— nothing they could do. Too many people onboard and it really just seemed that staff did not know enough to guide, direct and assist cruisers. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We will always have this crappy experience to remember our 30th. Very sad!! Read Less

Way too many children, 1 hour wait for water slides most of the time. The gym is way, way too small and lacks equipment. Room, food, restaurants, entertainment were all good. Make any RSVPs for spa, excursions, go kart etc before you get on the ship. It will be sold out by the time you get on the ship. Watch out for the drink package, be sure to ask when getting a drink if what you want is extra charge or not. They don't let you know then it's on your bill. Starbucks on board and good service. NCL blew it on this ship, bad design/layout, not such a stable ride either due what I am told is a German built ship that lacks the stabllizers on other ships. Read Less

I choose this cruise because of the Princess reputation. But in the end I was highly disappointed both in the food which was a major turnoff their menu. New Years eve is a very special time, and they had no balloons or confit falling like the picture you see. This never happened. The entertainment was just okay for new years, I've seen a heck of a lot better. The restaurant seating was a disaster on New Years Eve, they should be ashamed of themselves on how they handled this not only on New Years Eve but throughout the entire cruise. The galleria on this ship sucks, very small and the shops are not worth shopping it, selling garbage jewelry and lousy clothes. I thought Princess cruise was well known for their food, at best their food was average, their dinner menu was terrible. I was very disappointed, to say the least. I thought Princess cruise exhibited a very cheap and frugal type of experience. Read Less

We chose this cruise because it ticked a number of boxes with regards to islands visited, we boarded the ship on the 27th December 2019, the boarding process was very efficient. The first issue we had was the aircon did not work in the cabin, we informed our cabin boy and also reception, it took two further days and a number of calls and requested before I had to insist someone visited to the cabin and repaired the system. The cabins are typical cruise ship small and the bathrooms are very small however we have cruised before so it was as expected. The itinerary was good and apart from the dropping Grand Turk for no real given reason the islands visited were good and as expected, we took a number of tours which were all very good in particular the champagne and lobster on Granada which was probably the best trip of this kind I have ever been on. The overall entertainment on board was poor apart from the live music bands that were generally very good. We are not heavy drinkers however we choose to purchase the unlimited drinks package for convenience, however it does restrict the type of drinks (particularly in wine) you can have and they are generally of a lesser quality than if you purchase direct, overall I doubt it cost any more or saved ourselves money but it did restrict the choice of drinks so I would not advise it unless you intend to drink 15 pints of Stella every day (which many did) The bar service on the boat is appalling, the staff in 90% of cases have contempt for the passengers, service is slow and very unprofessional. The quality of food served in all the restaurants was average particularly for a cruise ship, I would rate it as a poor 2 star all inclusive resort and certainly not what we have seen on other cruise ships. On most days and evenings there was no room on the decks, the ship feels very overcrowded and also very intimidating, the open decks are a permanent drinking frenzy and I watched numerous people downing pints of Stella like it was going out of fashion, a number of the older or more refined people on the ship told me they stopped going out on the decks as it frightened them. The tables were dirty and rarely cleared of glasses, the whole of the outside including all the areas around the pools are smoking areas, there was heavy smoking and drinking on most tables, also people smoking in the food areas outside and the children’s area. In my opinion the ship is no more than a very expensive booze cruise. If this is the new target audience for cruise ships we shall have been on our last cruise, I would certainly never recommend this this ship (or P&O) to anyone. Read Less

The Epic ship has been an epic disappointment. After a ton of research, time and talking to other cruise going friends and an NCL rep, we finally decided to plan our honeymoon with NCL. We were very excited about this trip, planning and saving our money to make this happen even before we put a deposit down, so you can see we came in with a positive and excited mindset that got systematically crushed by your ship and staff. Our day started fine, the flights and transportation to the airport uneventful and nothing special. We got through the port and check-in and into our room without anything to note happening. This was a good start in our books. However, this was where everything took a turn for the worse. We quickly realized how inadequate the beverage package we got was and called the operator to see if we can upgrade to the Premium Plus Beverage Package. They told us we can go to any bar to upgrade it. I asked them if they can do it right there over the phone since they already have my credit card information. They said no. This struck us as odd. We went to the nearest bar and they told us we had to go to yet another bar. Eventually, after visiting several bars, we arrived at the Atrium on the 5th deck where we were blatantly ignored for 10-15 minutes and were told to go to YET ANOTHER place to sign up for this premium plus package. So we go down to a table near the Le Bistro and we go buy this upgrade. However, we cannot buy the premium plus package here we just get a piece of paper saying we are going to buy it. Surprise! Yet another waste of time but we are committed to having a blast and this minor event will not hold us back. So we go to the Guest Services line now which was extremely long. After waiting in line for over an hour, we finally see the end in sight. I love wasting my precious time on our honeymoon to get mislead and waiting in lines. There were about 5 more parties ahead of us when the ship's intercom notified us we had a ship safety presentation that will be conducted soon and we had to go to our designated rally point. We stayed in line but were quickly told we had to leave the line and go right away. Ok, fine, can we get a number or something that reserved our place in line? We waited over an hour just to get denied any resolution. They blatantly made it clear they did not care and told all of us to leave. I asked them to just charge my card and be done with it but again no, we had to come back later. By now the tension, frustration, and anger among the passengers were quite visible to us, adding to our discomfort. We have not even left port yet and the people were unhappy wherever we went. We went to our rally point, where things continued to get worst. Our rally point was the Manhattan Room which for whatever reason was closed. So we had this large group of people (all the 'J' people) just waiting outside the rally point. Clear and obvious frustration was on everyone's faces as we waited 10 or so minutes to enter. Finally the doors open and we had to endure the pushing and cursing of over a hundred people trying to get to the rally point but could not due to the terrible funneling of the doorway. My poor wife had to deal with rude and angry people pushing her and stepping on her feet this whole time and to add to this the heat was near unbearable. I was not even sure the ship even had A/C at this point. To be brutally honest, I've been to airports in Afghanistan that was more comfortable in terms of people and organization. This is no honeymoon I want to be on and my wife agrees. Once we finally checked in and found someplace to sit we had to wait an additional 30 odd minutes for the presentation to even start. I told my wife that we should get our money back and just get off this ship. We did not even want to be there anymore. So I asked someone who I can talk to about that. I was told to talk to Guest Service. Deflated we went back to sit down and wait for the safety brief to start. Once it was over we had to fight our way to get out of this dining room and rush to get back into the Guest Service line. By this point, I will like to point out that Carnival by far outperforms NCL at this point. We had no trouble at all with Carnival and the whole experience was pleasant from start to end. If they had a cruise that we wanted for the timeframe we wanted to go we would not have looked at any other cruise. Since that was not the case we did our due diligence and NCL seemed to be the best option. People spoke highly of NCL cruises and again I want to emphasize we were so excited about this cruise and our honeymoon! We do not have any brand loyalty yet and we are open-minded about all cruise lines at this point! We arrived at Guest Services and not to our surprise the line was even longer now then it was when we first got there. My wife was nearly in tears looking at it and her face failed to hide her frustration. This is not the honeymoon we envisioned with NCL. I told her to just head to the room and see if our luggage made it there and if so unpack and try to relax. She does not deserve to have to endure this dilemma. So I waited alone now in this line that went on forever. I watch as people slowly went to the desk and unleashing their complaints, their faces showing their emotions clearly. Passengers were becoming rude quite frequently to each other and the staff. To describe the guest service line, it went past the Le Bistro restaurant the first time I stood in it, and even further the second time clogging up the hallway. It would have been helpful if the staff seen standing around had helped to create a line behind each customer service rep instead of just one line clogging up the atrium and hallway. After a couple of hours of standing in this dreaded line, it was finally my turn to talk to guest services. Never in my life have I had to work so hard to give a company my money. The actual process to get the premium plus drink package took a minute but I requested a formal complaint be filed about this very incident. By now I’d spent half the day in a line in one form or another and this is what set the tone for our honeymoon. Now I do not have all day to write about EVERY bad thing about our experience with NCL, so I will hit on some of the bigger events and things that need to be addressed. The first thing was the premium plus drink package. After being disappointed with the process of purchasing the premium beverage package, we then found out the beverages provided in the room were not included, which made no sense to us. These were the same beverages provided in our drink package. So we decided to use the premium plus beverage package at a bar we had worked so hard to acquire, at which time we were told items weren’t included. This was before the bartenders/staff even looked at our key cards! Every time we ordered the premium package item we were denied until we pointed out to them that we were premium plus package members and asked them to re-examine our cards. This was VERY frustrating. At the end of the night, we examined our account on our TV and it showed that we racked up a $2500.00 tab from drinks all included in the premium plus beverage package. Meaning that even though we reminded staff over and over we were premium plus members, they had STILL charged us. I had to get back down to guest services just to get it to fix and by now, we know how I feel about guest services. The rest of the cruise the inaccurate charges subsided, but I had to monitor my account continuously day in and day out to confirm. Initially, we were told only the premium plus package could be purchased for myself only since my wife does not drink anything that would require the Premium Plus package. Later we were told she had to purchase the package as well, doubling the cost. Yet another thing that made us feel that NCL was trying their best to gouge us for every dollar. It was frustrating that the staff was not sharing information and providing us with misinformation at every step. Also, the taxation simply felt so petty and cheap when we had the Premium Plus Beverage Packages. Nowhere did it say we will have to pay taxes on everything when in U.S. waters and if it did the print was so small it escaped our eyes. Got to love seeing all these small charges on our account, and the fact we stayed on the port the first night in Puerto Rico till after 1 AM meant we paid taxes on every drink after the reported 930PM departure time. It felt so cheap that the NCL would not even cover the taxes after you spent so much money on the Premium Plus Beverage Package. The only positives that came from this, was that we made friends through voicing our mutual disappointments waiting for our beverages. We heard people having the same struggles and it brought us together and made us form friendships. Let us just say, we made a lot of new friends throughout the cruise. The second string of events I wanted to address was the complimentary dining (the Manhattan Room and the Taste in particular). The food was served often lukewarm or straight out cold. I know I am not the only one that experienced this as we watch other tables complain loudly in the dining rooms about this very thing. Service was an insult to us. Nearly every time we decided to eat at the Taste, or the ONE time we went to Manhattan Room we waited much longer than is acceptable anywhere else in the world. We would sit at our table and had to wait for 20 some minutes to just get water. Then we would get our menus and we will be ready to order but we had to once again wait for 20 odd minutes to order. Now if the place was packed or extremely busy I can be understanding but less then half the room would have people seated. Every time we go there was staff standing around and just not working. Once we went to breakfast and we saw one man working very hard to get clean and set up tables for people then turn around to the lazy staff members and loudly condemn and reprimand their actions in front of the passengers. It was truly a sad sight to witness but even that other staff would slowly work and the first chance they get they would slink off to somewhere. Going back to the wait times in these restaurants, it took an average of 1 hour to get our food from the moment we sat down. My wife asked for ketchup once for her hashbrowns as it came and we waited for 30 minutes before we decided to just leave Taste. The waitress in question we did not see again after she got us our food. We asked every server for ketchup after the first waitress failed to show up in 10 minutes. There were maybe 12 tables with people in the entire dining area. The Manhattan Room was so disappointing that we never went back. We went there for Christmas dinner. The first thing was the crowd outside the restaurant that all seemed bitter and blue. It is Christmas and this was the mood. This was not a good sign. We go to the reservation table and tried to ignore the mood. We were grateful for a nice window seat near the corner of the dining room as we did not have to deal with the crowds much, giving us some hope about dinner. However, that hope was quickly dashed. Water and bread came out in a timely matter as did the menus. The waiter got our food orders and we felt some relief as this by far has been the best experience with the complimentary dining. We ordered wine and enjoyed our time together. This is when I started to notice something was odd. The table next to us ordered their food as we were sitting down, ate their food and left as did some of the other tables around us. Those same tables left were cleaned and had new parties seated. We finished our wine and we still have not seen our waiter. Now that similar feeling of dread came over us. Those new tables that got seated well after we did, started to get served their dinners. At this point (after an hour and 3 minutes, I timed it and wrote it down. It became my new hobby on this ship to write start and end times) I had to leave the table and go to one of the dining room managers asked what is the problem with our orders? We picked things off the menu with no changes. We have no special needs or allergies. The woman apologized off handly and to make a point I asked for another bottle of wine (indicating we had more than enough time to finish 1 bottle). We got our food as the new tables got their desserts and our 2nd bottle of wine was running low. At this point, we wanted to just leave but it was Christmas and we paid for this cruise. We asked, as our food came out (appetizers and main course came out together. I had a soggy salad and my wife was served something cold), for the dessert menu. During this time 2 dining room managers, 1 assistant dining room manager, and 3 waiters kept coming to our table to ask if our food was alright or if we needed anything. 6 separate people came to talk to us from receiving our food and before the dessert menus were delivered. We then felt bombarded. If you can see we are eating hungrily in our formal clothing, why would you continuously bother us when the hour prior we did not even matter? My wife, bless her soul, was very patient this whole cruise and refrained me from causing any scene even when she was so distraught this whole cruise. Our honeymoon has been thoroughly ruined by NCL and the Epic crew. Once we got our dessert we quickly exited the Manhattan Room. Again there was so much more to bring up but I think this covers the major issues we have had with the complimentary dining. Specialty dining was by far the best in comparison. The next complaint we had was the fact the shore excursions did not have the weight limits somewhere visible or if so, noticeable, for us, the passengers trying to spend money, to know what we can and cannot do which would have reduced the time customers stood at the counter asking questions about each excursion. I am a large male (300lbs and 6 foot 5 inches) and it would have been great to know ahead of time that most adventure activities had a weight limit. We had to go to the Shore Excursions desk to confirm the weight limit of the activities. Another line. Good thing we been treated so badly that we decided to double-check everything. The excursion we chose was fun once we got on the boat, but also started with too much WAITING and seemed poorly organized. What is the point of gathering people for excursions in the theater early where we just have to wait roughly 45 minutes to be told what zone we are going to once we got on the port? That information could have been easily been put onto our excursion tickets or told to us the day prior on paper with our FreeStyle paperwork they deliver to our rooms every night or just have some of the crew meet us on our way out to tell us what zone we need to meet at so we weren’t waiting to disembark while 20 other excursions meeting locations were announced. This also brings up another point about the general lack of care by the crew was when one of the passengers dropped a glass cup on the ground and it broke. The woman upfront asked multiple times for someone to come clean it up and the whole time we sat there no one came up to clean it up. Just another thing in the sea of problems that could have been done better. We meet an older couple that has gone on 11 or so NCL cruises and they tried to tell us this was an isolated experience. They told us how great every other cruise they’d been on with NCL had been and their experiences on the Epic have been so underwhelming and disappointing in comparison, that they might have to look elsewhere for their next cruise. No one on this ship seemed to care about how poorly they were getting treated. Even the people in the Haven that we have met and befriended complained about how the Haven has fallen far from the standard Haven experience on the other ships they been on with NCL. This gives us no hope with future NCLs cruises. Things like the Thermal Room running out of water for hours even when told by multiple people it was depleted or the level of visible corrosion in the hot tubs in the Thermal Room made everything about the cruise feel so unkempt. We even witnessed crew members nearly going to blows, arguing loudly on the 9th deck by the elevators in clear view for us and the other passengers showing a lack of unity among the staff. A large majority of the passengers did not have a good time for the whole duration of the cruise. The 2 saving grace of this entire cruise was that the destinations were simply wonderful and that the final disembarkment back in Puerto Rico was painless. Never had we been on a vacation where we wanted to be home after the first day. We would have gladly paid double if any other cruise line had the same itinerary had we known how poorly NCL runs their cruises and how badly we would be treated on the Epic. Read Less

We chose this cruise because we wanted to visit different islands for Christmas and we had not been to Turks & Caicos or to Half Moon Cay. This was the only option. I have done more than ten cruises in my life, but it was my first Carnival. NEVER AGAIN. The ship is old, the decoration is very tacky, the whole ship smells of mold, sweat and grease. The curtains had poke holes throughout the ship. The swimming pool's water was brown. The buffet food looked like something you would eat in prison. At the formal dining restaurants, the food was better, but nothing compared to a Royal Caribbean or a Norwegian. However, if you paid extra to get the Specialty Menu, the food was delicious. The cabin carpet had stains. Entertainment was terrible, the only thing fun was the Cruise Director, he made the impossible to keep people entertained, but he was on his own at this mission. The cruise did not stop at Half Moon Cay and they only let us know about it an hour before the scheduled time, blaming the weather conditions (I had faced much worse weather and was always able to leave the ship). It was a terrible experience and I am never choosing Carnival again. Read Less

Had previous safe trips but this one was horrible. Not only injured but upon return home was advised by ship insurance carrier that we required tons of previous medical information in order to obtain satisfaction for injuries and loss of ship use for 10 days after injury. Tender was ordered to stop operations after my injury but should have happened in advance. Lack of security to stop Tender operations in rough sea resulted in personal injury. Poor food service in all restaurants, except room service ; obnoxious child in suite opposite ours was running about unsupervised and sometimes naked and knocking on doors before 6am! Ship medical officer was less than helpful and failed many requests or obtain my medical records. Ship did have highlights but since this was a cruise to latin isles there was little to none of latin music in clubs or entertainment Ship excursions were less than satisfactory; on one the guide was obnoxious and some cruise members were stuffed 6 into a 4x4 car resulting in pain and back injuries. We lost 3 excursions booked in advance; 2 cancelled due to Tender injury and 1 cancelled at last minute by vendor. We recommend NOT using the ship for excursions but booking you own, either on the dock upon arrival or with other companies in advance. Read Less

We were on the ship for two weeks supposedly the whole itinerary since booking in September was changed we were not told about Jerusalem and Bethlehem stop even though the ship had been doing this for the last six weeks until we got on board so that the company did not have to refund us or compensate us for yet another change. Our cabin was absolutely disgusting there was vomit on the floor which had less stains on the carpet the beds were soiled with other peoples bodily fluid the head pillows were further soiled with blood and sweat and absolutely stunk after the first night in the cabin I developed breathing difficulties from the dirty tired air-conditioning. We spoke with guest relations manager and told him we needed to leave the ship due to the breathing difficulties I was experiencing thing on board. We left the cabin that day to return to find everything of our belongings were taken from the cabin the carpet been ripped up a brand-new carpet laid and glued down the fumes from the blue further exasperated my breathing problems but as there are no further cabins on board vacant they are unable to move us the ship further even due to my illness could not get off the ship for six days and even then they wanted me to pay for my own flights home when we had £200 in our on-board spend account. They agreed after speaking to their head office that we should pay for our own flights on our card and they would then refund us are on-board credit in cash we flew back to Cardiff and had to pay for hotel accommodation there before we could do our return journey back to London. The food on board the ship was absolutely diabolical the cheapest nastiest sausages bacon thick with fat or collect together frozen vegetables cheap wines and poor quality food chicken still on the bone , stale sandwiches with curled up edges for afternoon tea sausage rolls served warm with no sausage. Every day the buffet service was an absolute feeding frenzy with very dangerous hot serving trays which are sat into a bath of boiling water when you reach into the serving tray the steam comes out and burns you on your wrist and lower arms. The ship overall condition is poor and tired and dirty the rust inside and out is very apparent and the boat creeks and moans when she’s at sea . The pollution that she puts out is unbelievable and the smell of fumes within the ship is disgraceful. The Christmas decorations on board were absolutely pathetic with a small 3 foot blowup Santer being your main feature outside your restaurant door Christmas trees were about 4 1/2 foot 5 foot tall with old-fashioned tinsel and decorations randomly thrown on the tree the whole affect was cheap and shabby. I can only like in the bars and restaurant to a good old-fashioned working men’s club. The pool area even though it was really not hot enough to sit out but not supervised properly and the only thing they had adults could use with a hot tub there are signs up saying that children were not allowed in the hot tub and supervise yet every single day the hot tub is full of children with no adults in sight now we seem to care or do anything about it the ship was full of children with very little entertainment for them on a daily basis. The pool area even though it was really not hot enough to sit out was not supervised properly and the only thing the advice dogs could use where the hot tub is there are signs up saying that children were not allowed in the hot tub and supervise yet every single day the hot tubs were full of children with no adults in sight now we seem to care or do anything about it the ship was full of children with very little entertainment for them on a daily basis Since returning home I have been confined to bed with a lung infection in both lungs having to take antibiotics and steroids daily and rest this has been contracted through poor air-conditioning and is a ongoing serious issue at this precise moment. The ship did organise a private transfer for us to the airport so we didn’t have to go on the coach with the other passages I do actually think as much as we requested this it was probably in their best interest to do this to stop me spreading any kind of infection to other passengers I might of picked up on board the ship I arrived on the ship on the 18th of December fit and healthy. Staff of the ship are way too good to be subjected to what they have to work with there all cheerful smiley bright personable people and way too good to be on the dream. I’m so sorry that I cannot add photographs to this but writing it on my mobile phone it does not give me the facility to upload the photographs of the disgusting cabin and other little treats around the ship Read Less

This was a group booking of 42 people the cruised with us immediately following our beach wedding. Price: We paid extra to have the aurea experience, and I did appreciate the priority boarding and massage...but the slightly bigger room wasn't worth it. Service: Awful, disorganized, major language barrier- granted this is an international cruise line but it made it increasingly hard to communicate all the issues our group was having. We had many adult men sharing rooms and were place on 1 queen bed instead of specifying 2 beds. We had 2 people that paid for drink packages and did not get the upgraded package they ordered or it showed they never got one at all. Despite having the best drink package, we were not allowed to "buy" drinks for anyone...kind of a waste for $300. The other drink package doesn't allow you to get any drink over $6....which is every alcohol on board fyi. The beers were $6.50, so either upgrade to deluxe or pass on it. Our mini bar was not stocked and had two half drank bottles of water in it when we arrived. Gross. We were given my choice dining but we still assigned a table at the 1st dining which we did not want. Half our party was assigned to 1st and half to 2nd. When we attempted to sit with our family and were seated by a manager, a waiter came over and told us to move to an empty table despite explaining his boss moved us there for a reason....the waiter did not care. That night while everyone else had dinner, it took 60 minutes to receive our entrees and 90 minutes to receive coffee...only after complaining to a different manager when 2 waiters saw me with my hand up, looked and turned away. Our lunch the next day took 2.5 hours from start to finish. The food is not as flavorful as royal carribean or norwegian and there was nothing anyone was dying to have again. The buffet is not open as much as other cruiselines and is insanely crowded. If you go, be sure to get breakfast at 7am or it will be a madhouse. The pizza and waffles are best at the buffet. No one was allowed in the water due to a storm coming on their private island which is understandable but not when there is not a wave in sight and the sun is still shining. Our guests kept getting the run around on loading money into their accounts and were not permitted to pay off their balances in full which was odd. Most of the staff either did not understand our guests complaints/questions or just did not seem to care that much. Some were generally nice but others were rude. Our room steward was pleasant and kept the room nice....and the dancers and acrobats were good, no comedian, but I guess that is the norm on a shorter cruise. The boat is pretty but it took a few days to figure out the ship and by then we were leaving. They could use more activities on board. Basically, what you will save by getting a whole cruise for under $300 will cost you in other ways and be prepared to be nickle and dimed. I am a relatively cheap traveler, but my guests were very disappointed by this and all the other charges and bad service...not exactly the service you expect at the start of your honeymoon with such a large group. The first and foremost part is what let’s the whole thing down. We were forced to leave our baggage outside the rooms at 2am the night before leaving . I complained and said I wasn’t comfortable and I was told their was no option. My case and my wife’s case turned up in the U.K. missing a £3.5k work MacBook Pro , 400 cigarettes and several items of designer clothes. The security seals were broken and the locks completely gone . After speaking with other cruisers since back they had the exact same issue with security seals tampered with and missing items. When I contacted TUI they weren’t in the slight bit interested and fobbed me off to travel insurance despite me asking for help in trying to track it down. No ownership of the problem whatsoever essentially means I have spent my last penny with TUI and will be telling people to avoid also. All in all the ship has been updated in the public areas but needs renovation in staircases and cabins. The atrium lifts were always filthy. Most staff are pleasant and friendly on the bars and restaurants but the entertainment staff less so (apart from Manuel and Tom) Restaurants are generally good however it’s very chaotic at times and service can be a little all over the place. My 30 year old wife was served a dessert saying “happy 60th Tony” on the plate. The buffet is absolutely atrocious and is school canteen standards, You would easily find a better breakfast in Asda. Alcoholic drinks are good but soft drinks again are atrocious with the syrups not mixed properly due to old machines and poor mixing. Read Less

When it's all said and done, I would strongly advise no sailing with Princess. While our destinations were beautiful (Mexican Riviera), the experience onboard was - at the end of the day - really bad. The good things: - easy boarding, easy disembarking - all staff are kind, prompt, and trying their best. - decent pool setup. good for swimming. - lotus spa has a very luxurious turkish bath Now the problems: - slow internet. 1995 slow. you can't do much. and you pay a large amount. - the food is the worst I've seen. lowest of the low. borderline prison food. you can't get decent quality food unless you pay $30 at dinner. think watery eggs and square cheese bad. My family felt ill most of the time. Fast-food is better quality, i kid you not. - ship doesn't have decks clearly marked. you think they would have figured that out. - the medallion thing is a scam. mine didn't work. got it replaced. resolved nothing. - there's a gigantic TV on the top deck blaring prescription medication ads (really guys?) - bad elevator music follows you e v e r y w h e r e you go. bring earplugs. - my room had broken balcony door which made wind gust loud at night - poor alcoholic drinks! decent selection but no one made a good cocktail. - NO! DRINKING! WATER! - was dehydrated the entire trip (i'm 33, in shape). They do sell $4 bottles of water as room service only. There's also tap water that tastes like you're drinking laboratory chlorine. They use this at the restaurants/cafe. - ship was rerouted. lost time at destinations and there was no compensation for that. - entertainment is a mixed bag. the stage productions: terrible! but trivia a good laugh. - medical station charges $100 to see a doctor. sold me a $14 bottle of rubbing alcohol. This is the worst cruise I've taken, hands down. I'd say look elsewhere - there are some very special cruises out there. This is bad for families and couples alike. Good luck and hope this helps! My Husband and I went on this cruise to go to Grand Turks and Amber Cove DR. From jump bad experience cause in the flyers they put out they said laundry is across from room U154. Well for 2 and a half days people was knocking on our door asking for Laundry. Dilma at guest services did all she could but was only able to give us Chocolate Strawberries and a bottle of Champagne. We wanted to move rooms, but none was available. So every night approximately 20 to 50 people outside our room talking loudly. Well it didn't help the boat was rocking back and forth very badly everyday on the sea. We did make it to both ports, but my husband got sick on Amber Cove and we didn't get off the ship. He was still sick the next day, but felt a little better thanks to dramamine. Then coming out of Amber Cove the motor broke down and we was going 6miles per hour for about 4 hours and then it was back to rocking back and forth. Sick again. Then we was supposed to debark at 8:30 that changed to 9:30 then 10 then we finally got to disembark at 11:30. Mind you people had flights to catch, but was Late, We drove from Alabama so we have to drive back and Carnival doesn't care. The staff was great. But nothing else was Great. Never again!!! Read Less

This was by far the worse cruise I have ever experienced. First they really were disorganized and out dated. The ship was old and difficult to navigate. The rooms were so small and seemed like they just wanted to cramp as many people into that boat as possible. We didn't even see the places that we were supposed to stay. They try to nickle and dime you on everything even after you already prepay for it before you board. The drink package is a scam and so is the internet. they try and up sell but the quality is so poor so that you don't get the higher value. We never saw mexico which was changed and made us stay at sea longer. The activities were terrible, the nasty European guest were allowed to be disgusting at the buffet, one lady literally licked a serving spoon and put it back in the general bowl- so disgusting. Not to mention their poor hygiene in the pools and even after I asked for them to be reprimanded and then cleansed the staff seemed unable to check them. The activities on the boat were limited and poor quality and I overall hated this boat and experience. Read Less

My husband chose this Cruise because these were places that we've never cruised to before. This was also a Carnival ship that we had not been on before. It was literally a mess from the first day to the last day! We were so disappointed that we thought we deserved a refund! I would not recommend this Ship or trip to anyone! We have cruised with Carnival several times and have never has this experience! It makes us want to Cruise with other ships from now on! This was my husband's Birthday Cruise and he did not have a good time at all! Even on his Birthday!! We spent the entire Cruise in the Casino, they were the only people making sure that we had a great time. All though we are Premiere Club Cruisers we didn't feel like we got any special treatment on this ship. There was no Adult entertainment like really good shows! The food was very horrible, the service was poor, the Ship is dated and needs a complete make over. They worked on the Water slide the entire time we were there so one ever got a chance to use it! This just was not a good experience at all. We flew in from Dallas, TX to Miami to take this Cruise and when you go through all of that traveling to Cruise, you deserve the Royal treatment! Read Less

First of all I want to say that my husband and I are Elite on Princess and have been Elite for about seven years. We were also on Royal Princess for 49 days in February and March 2019. That being said, we were excited to sail on the brand new Sky Princess and were shocked and dismayed at the incredible decline in service and food quality in just nine months. Over the years each time we boarded for a new cruise, this feature or that was cheapened, vanished, or became an upcharge. I must admit also, this was the first cruise that we didn’t buy any future cruise certificates. Cabin - We had a forward mini suite on Deck 12. We were not offered our welcoming glass of champagne that all suite passengers are supposed to get on either the first seven days or the second seven days. Bars of soap are no longer available. The Elite toiletries bag was not provided. I asked for it and was told the gold bag was no longer available. No more hair conditioner, no more tubes of lotion. My room Stewart handed me a nail file, a linen freshener, a shower cap, and a tube of chapstick. He said they put it on a towel now. We had already been aboard for two days. It took two days to get our bathrobes and Elite cocktail guides. The lights behind the sofa were constantly not working. Maintenance got them both working for about two days, then back to only one light again. There are two TVs in a mini suite. If you are sitting on the sofa and attempt to turn on one TV, they both come on. To turn off the second TV you must take the remote to within one inch of the TV then you can turn it off without turning the other TV off. It was aggravating. Non skid bathtub mats were also no longer available. Food Sabatini’s- There is a new menu so we thought we would give it a try. Big mistake! The upcharge is now $25. We expected better than what the buffet served. First, menu descriptions do not match what you actually receive. The bread is the same as every other dining venue. The appetizer was not as described. We got some kind of pastry puff instead of the wheat loaf. The fried zucchini while tasty, was three McDonald’s French Fries size pieces with two strings of yellow squash. They came with a slice of very stale bread with a glob of cheese melted on it. Just plain nasty. Next came the pasta course. I got the trio. They came in small baking dishes. What I actually got was the exact same lasagna paste served in the buffet, what was called chicken parm but turned out to be cubed chicken, half of which was breaded in a tomato soup sauce with a few salad croutons, a leaf of spinach, and a sprinkle of cheese. The third pasta was a rigatoni with pasty Alfredo sauce and mushrooms. I choked down the Alfredo pasta and pushed the rest away. At this point I began to complain how awful it was. Next course was fried sole. The fish was very fishy and tasted very old to the point of being spoiled. Needless to say I pushed it away. Hubby had seafood linguine that had no linguine! What he got was thin spaghetti with two shrimp and two clams in olive oil. Next he ordered the veal. He got two paper thin slices with a leaf of spinach in between, covered in brown gravy and mushrooms. The veal and the spinach were the same size. At this point, we again said how awful the food was. We got up to walk out. We asked where to pay but we were not charged. We then ended up getting a hot dog. World Market Place - Is the Horizon court with a new name and worse food and service. Food is a matter of taste so I will speak to quality and preparation. All over the ship passengers were talking about how horrible the food was. I got mashed potatoes with with hard cubes of nearly raw potatoes. I later saw mashed potatoes nearly brown from reheating so many times. Cheap cuts of beef brisket were served nearly every day. All food looked warmed over and most vegetables were previously frozen. Before our first seven days, the ship ran out of lettuce. We saw lots of people eating salads. Soups were mainly broth based with not much of anything in them. I noticed one woman who got rice in the buffet and vegetables and broth in the bistro. The day after formal night the buffet had a lobster dish with the tails cut into 3-4 pieces shells and all covered in a red sauce. Looked nasty to me. Food on the buffet was never hot. By the time you got to your seat it was tepid at best. Horizon Bistro - We got many meals here. You can make your own sandwiches, salads, tacos, or nachos. It was always crowded. Layout of the taco bar is backwards and you have to move back and forth to get meat and vegetables on your tortillas but it was edible. International Cafe - sandwiches and salads were edible. We ate breakfast there most every day. The panini press is gone but a new type of oven replaced it. It seemed to do a good job without ruining anything. Salads are now served in jars, about 2/3 cup per jar. Condiments are gone. You have to ask for ketchup to be put on your plate. At the coffee bar, sugar packets and coffee stirrers are gone. The biggest complaint is the muffins would be served no matter how stale and hard they were. If you really paid attention you could avoid this by remembering the muffin assortment from previous days. Salty Dog Grill - Real hit or miss. Real American cheese on cheese burgers was replaced with American Singles in plastic. It was hot on the deck and the grill cooks has issues getting the plastic off the fake cheese and the fake cheese stuck to their gloves. No cheeseburgers for us. The tacos at the grill were disgusting. Prefilled tacos were reheated on the grill. Soggy where the filling was and hard elsewhere. One bite and they went into the trash. Grilled chicken sandwiches were very thin. You really needed to order two and take the filling out of one of them, to get close to what we used to get. Hot dogs were just placed on the grill now. They were edible. French Fries were edible if you got them fresh cooked. Slice Pizza- The Lido deck pizza was very greasy. Lots of people were eating it. Not sure how they did it. Alfredo’s Pizza - We ate multiple meals here. The food was hot. Menu descriptions did not always match what you were served but, everything that was served was all right. MDR - we never ate there. We also heard the food was poor from other passengers. Entertainment - We went to one magic show that was just OK. We attended two movies in the Vista Lounge and two MUTS. There were lots of football games for football fans. Embark/ Debark- we were held up in the cruise terminal for about 2.5 hours because VIPs were aboard having a naming ceremony. Debark was a breeze. Internet - worked great when it worked. It frequently went out and took in room movies with it. Ocean Medallion- Personally, I don’t like carrying around a tracking device. It opened my stateroom door and recorded my transactions just like my key card used to do. I don’t see any value added to using it. Read Less

I always wanted to try NCL. The minute we got on the ship it reeked of disgusting smoke. Come to find out this cruise company, could care less about non smokers. The president of this line and the designers must be smokers, because you can't escape it. Its in the hallways, the rooms in the restaurants, on the balconies, the theater, absolutely disgusting and gross. My wife has lung cancer and I felt so bad for her on our honeymoon. Had marijuana smokers on the balcony beside us, complained and they did nothing. The deck officer on deck 12, tells me to contact her immediately on her direct line if it happened again, lo and behold when I called her 4 times she never answered. 4 hours after the fact she finally answers and says I will be right down. What a complete joke and a liar. The casino is in the middle of the ship with zero walls, its open to the complete ship. Apparently the smoke is supposed to read the signs and not move from the casino. Its open to 3 floors with 8 restaurants are right in the area with zero walls. Are they complete idiots, with their designs. Even in the casino, the "non smoking" area is separated by one foot of air. I guess the smoke can't read the no smoking signs. Just to show how little they care about the 80% of people that don't smoke, they have all the garbage machines nobody wants to play in the "non smoking" area. If you want to play good machines, you have to get polluted by the 20% that smoke. No days in the casino with no smoking. We went to eat at one of the restaurants on the first day and you may as well forget smoke free, it felt like we had a smoker right beside. On the same night we asked to take our dessert to our room, because my wife couldn't breathe in the restaurant! A stern NO from the server. It was everywhere, the grossest most disgusting smoke lovers ship ever. If you want to kill your kids early or yourself, go on this ship, but if you do, you must not care about your health or your kids. Their "smoking" room on the 15th deck is a complete joke, even smokers were commenting how stupid it was built. Basically it's an area wide open to the rest of the ship, but hey the smoke should know better, it can't wander from that joke of a smoking area, no door, basically two slats of glass open at the top, middle and bottom. What do you think the smoke will do, when the ship is moving? It's again everywhere, you could feel and smell it on the other side of the ship. As for service, this is the rudest most uninformed group of people I have ever encountered. First day we're in the jewelry store, Vadim almost knocks my wife to the ground, so he can rush to make his sale. I called him out on it, "hey that was rude, you should never step in front of your guests" I got the old stupid rye smile, he didn't give a crap as long as he got his sale. We didn't get our complimentary soap and hand cream until day 5. Our room didn't get done one day, we had to ask the room attendant to do it, her answer, "I thought I already did it." Got room service on the first morning it showed up without what we ordered, called down, "that will take 45 minutes to fix our mistake" I wouldn't order it for 8 if I wanted it at 9. That day our dirty dishes were left in our room until I put them in the hallway at 4pm, her answer was "I tought you weren't finished" cripes our dirty linen was on top of the food!! Day two we put our card out about 8 hours before the deadline to get room service the next morning, they never picked it up so we got none. I asked 5 different members a question about the ship, I got a blank stare from 4 of them. One that I asked, was where's the bake shop, again "uh, the bake shop?" Was her response, come to find it, about 120ft from where she works. Totally clueless workers, they seem to not comprehend, what you're asking. Even the cruise director, was asked a question at a question period, he didn't answer what he was asked, he blabbed on about something else. On Stirup Cays, I asked to buy lime juice for my wife as she can't have alcohol because of her cancer, even told the bartender, he showed me the bottle of lime juice and said no, you can have our other juice, I had to give 20% for that service!!! In the 7 days, I got one morning of warm breakfast, all others, cold eggs, cold hashbrowns, cold sausages, luke warm coffee and tea. Had to ask 4 times if bread was coming, BREAD! Like they had to bake it or something. This is the minute the dinning room opens on some occasions. I finally said something to Jeanette Asst Maitre D, she promised if I came to her restaurant the next morning, she would take care of us and make it was warm, do you think, that my breakfast was warm? Ya right corn beef hash felt it came from a fridge, eggs were cold. She offered a Margaritaville lunch on the house for my troubles, just go up and "I already contacted them and got you the free meal". We arrive and the guy said, after swiping my card, "you know there's a $18 surcharge", as with everything else there's a gouging surcharge, even when you gamble, they surcharge your card when you apply a charge to your card. So anyways, Jeanette obviously didn't bother to call up!! So we order an appetizer and entré, appys show up and 5 seconds later he plots the entre right beside, so it can get cold. We go to dinner and show, entré shows up, then 10 seconds later the desert arrives and is placed on our already overcrowded table, where they sat 10 people at 4 single tables, one of the couples was eating on a crack, where the tables joined and guess what? There were at least 25 other empty tables. Basically this cruise line doesn't give a crap if you're a non smoker and doesn't care to give proper service. Once on this ship the whole week, did I see a worker step out of the way for a guest/client to walk by. I saw a worker almost run over an older guest with his cart and never said excuse me or pardon me, or I'm sorry. They give you a Freestyle sheet with all the activities, which are supposed to be the same as their ITV, the information didn't even match. Tried to reserve a show on the tv and this is what it said, "reservation required, first come first serve, reservation will be released 10 minutes before show, so I click on it as is it reservation or not? Well when you click on it a box pops up and says reservation not required. How do you plan anything? One night we never got a freestyle, Why? Room attendant's response, duh "I don't know"". Had desert one night, it said comes with chocolate sauce and strawberries, do you know what strawberries is? A dot of strawberry sauce. Another night our dinner said, comes with fingerling potatoes, what's fingerling potatoes on Norwegian? Frozen french fries!!! At brwakfast I take a ham and cheese omelet, i still can't find the ham and the cheese was exactly one small strand about 1 CM long and cold eggs. I have several and I mean several others to write, but my finger is getting ready to fall off. The GM needs to teach his workers. But, when I approached him about, his ship, I said this will probably be my first and last time on NCL, his response, "oh ok" if he doesn't give a crap, why should his workers, fire that guy!!! Too too many more to list. Unfortunately a couple of good workers were outnumbered by thousands that provide brutal service. Cripes even this site wasn't working on the ship and it was supposed to be free, their free upload a picture to facebook, never ever worked, I tried a dozen times. Funny how all the items that are free don't work, but all the ones you paid for worked!!!! Can't add photos it doesn't work Read Less

We heard that the MSC Meraviglia was one of the biggest and newest MSC cruise ships and thought that the ship would be spectacular so we booked a cruise for Dec 1st 2019.. We were very disappointed. The crew and service was great. No problem there but the ships policies are very bad. Cabins are only allotted one roll of toilet paper per day which is ridiculous. On two of the seven days we had to line up at customer service (5th floor) and get toilet paper. The cabins have empty metal boxes for facial tissue and for women's sanitary bags, but they are no longer supplied. You cannot even buy them on board. We had to use toilet paper. The ship is also poorly designed. The ship has a capacity for 5,000 plus but not enough room to spread out. It felt at times claustrophobic. We have been on bigger ships like the Oasis of the Seas and we never felt the capacity being a problem, but we did on the MSC Meraviglia. It has the maximum number of cabins and the minimum area of common space. We are also the first ship to visit MSC new island, Ocean Cay. Well if you like sand and beach you will love it but not much else. Very few were swimming. The water is shallow, and you have to go far out to swim. I was not impressed with the island. They do have jet skis, boat rides but not many took them. Must have been expensive. The food on the island was basically junk food. Better to eat in a dining room. The buffet on the 15th floor was a big disappointment. If you like junk food, hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza you will love the buffet but if you want a better variety you will not find it here. You would think that an Italian ship would have excellent pizza. That is not the case. We ate on the 6th floor at the Panorama room dinner and breakfast and lunch at Waves on the 5th floor. The food was better but I would only rate it as good. The salmon dish was very good. This was the first cruise ship we have been on that had options at extra cost on the complementary menu. The first two nights we did not enjoy the main entertainment, but it was much better the remaining nights. We had a balcony cabin with a sofa and hide a bed. Not bad but the shower is very small. There is very little room to move around. If you cruise just on price you might enjoy this ship at a discounted amount but otherwise choose another ship and line. Warning about the destinations. You might be well advised to stay on the ship when it docks at Ochos Rios Jamaica. Even the merchants were telling us not to keep my wallet in my back pocket and stay on the main street. Don’t take cabs or a bus excursion that is not booked on board. We never felt safe on the island. There is so many people hounding us that it is not enjoyable. If you have a problem and have to go to Customer Service on the 5th floor expect a long line and a big wait. Don’t buy tickets to Cirque du Soleil. It’s a waste of money. Not anything like the real show in major cities. We have seen better aerial acts on other ships that were free. This was our first cruise with MSC and I have to say it will be our last. Usually ships this size keep us so busy that we cannot decide what to do first. Here you have much less options. Other than at the pool you cannot get ice cream without having to pay for it. Other than the buffet I could not find a place to get coffee free. My suggestion pick another ship and line. Read Less

We decided to go on our first cruise with Norwegian, joining a group of friends. Since we both have been on other cruises we thought this would be great fun. Very disappointing. Starting from the moment we went online to book. We used NCL.com made our reservations. Once done we still had questions, and also wanted to purchase other packages. We called the reservation number listed. They could not help us because it shows that we booked our cruise through South Africa. It is not possible to even get on to those sites from the USA. We tried on three different computers. Three days later, countless hours and people, we finally got to one in corporate who was most helpful and frustrated that no one was able to fix the issue. Took him minutes to make our reservation a domestic one. The initial deposit for the cruise was processed at the Bank of England. We informed the cruise line of our travel times. We purchased the hotel and transportation through NCL. Arriving at Orlando airport, met up with the NCL reps. They had not record of us for the transport to the hotel. Fortunately the hotel has a shuttle service. Embarking on to the ship was okay. A little disappointing to enter the ship into a hallway. Past cruises you've entered into a main area that is quite impressive. Add to the fact the bathroom in the entrance area was out of order. The rooms were ready quite quickly. However, the hair dryer was broken. Actually broken, as in the handle not attached anymore. The faucet in the bathroom would come on scalding hot and take forever to get cool water. The paper products in the bathroom, the absolute cheapest you could get. The toilet tissue is one sided its so thin. From that day forward this just went downhill. The staff is very hit and miss. You will find a few that seem to enjoy their job and are quite helpful. You will meet many more who do not like their job, and it shows. The ship is lacking details maintenance. Rusting showing on our balcony, and all around the ship. Stained furniture, worn carpets, broken lounge chairs, very sloppy painting, dripping and over painting throughout. Be prepared to wait for everything. Getting a watered down drink can take as long as half an hour. For the most part there are only two bartenders trying to serve hundreds. No constancy in the drinks. Order the same drink from different bars and they will all taste different. Dinning, reservation all taken. You are expected to reserved way before you've even gotten onto the ship. They are very concerned about the guest health. But I witnessed so many things that put the guest's health in jeopardy. One case in point, the bars serve up bar mix (nuts and crackers mix) in glasses. I watched a guest pour them into their mouth, lips touching the glass, put it back empty. The bartender refilled the same glass with mix and give it to another guest. From then on I watch as they just reused and reserved the bar glasses with the bar mix over and over. It was gross. The food is pretty unexciting. The buffet, ugh! Biscuits are hokey pucks, chewy waffles and pancakes, I'd swear powered eggs. Much of it way over cooked, to the point of burnt. Try going to the individual restaurants. A step up. But still just okay. Hour cabin stewart was excellent. Very helpful and attentive. Customer Service desk, not so much. We took our issues to them, and all we got was I'll note your account. The excursions were great. However, there will be lots and lots of people. From NCL's descriptions they make is sound like an intimate time at a secluded beach. You and five thousand of your closest acquaintances. There were other cruise ships docked so you have all of them to deal with too. I could go on and on. Needless to say, this was not a pleasant experience at all. Save your money and the frustration, take a different cruise line. Then executives of NCL need to get their butts out of their offices and go undercover and cruise their ships like a regular guest. Then maybe there would be some improvements. Read Less

The food was so bad in every outlet. In normal dining the food compares with Golden Coral. We decided to pay to go to the steak outlet and the rib eye was so tough you couldn't chew it. When the server asked how it was after I left more than 2/3 of the steak, I told her bad and unable to eat. She said that was nice. Still charged us over $100.00. AC didn't work very well in our room. Called and complained 5 times over a 3 hour time frame and some guy came by and felt the air and said it was fine. We spent most of our cruise in the hall or other cooler locations. Was hard to sleep in the hot room at night. The sewage smell was so bad in the bathroom it made my wife sick. We went to the bathroom in the public areas and held our nose while taking a short shower. Called guest services but no one did anything about it. The food issue is the employee's fault, the company is buying cheap quality food to save money. This is my 6th cruise but first with Norwegian and will be my last. If I could have found a flight back, l would have gotten off a the first port. Carnival has MUCH better food at a cheaper cruise price. I would have been willing to pay for the upgraded food package if the food had been any better. I've been in the hospitality industry for more than 40 years running both hotels and restaurants and would never serve that poor of quality food nor do nothing to help my guests. No one I spoke with knew what to do other than, I'll tell my manager. No one called or do anything to make it better. Read Less
