We love cruising with Carnival, unfortunately, staffing shortages were quite evident. Food was still good in the dining room, and the smokehouse was delicious. The pizza is not what it was before. We often waited 20 minutes for a drink, even a simple beer. The dining room also seemed short-staffed, we often did not get water refilled, and one night we were there for 2 hours for dinner. The ...
We chose NCL mainly because of the drink package and the boat looked like it would be fun. Overall the vacation was decent, the food was alright and drinks were good when you were able to fight through the crowd to actually get one. Alot of the bars like tobacco road and the atrium were really nice. The cons kind of over shadowed the pros on this ship.
The Cons.
Biggest let down was the ...
Went on this cruise with some friends during winter break. We were really looking forward to seeing some new ports since we had done the western Caribbean itinerary in the past. First of all, the good:
- The ship was beautiful and in great shape. Everything was very clean and neat as always with NCL.
- Food was overall very good. O'Sheehans was quick and tasty on this cruise and the main ...
My wife, adult daughter and I sailed on Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Sea to the Western Caribbean in January 2023. It’s no surprise to anyone who’s been around cruising that RC has been slipping in quality and service for years. Every cruise gets worse and more perks and amenities are stripped away. Frankly, we only ended up on this RC cruise because of a great price for the Owners Suite. ...
We did a 119 night World Cruise, don't know why the menu here in CC says its only 50 nights. MSC delivers a lot of bang for your buck, though not everything was perfect. But the itinerary and the dining were awesome, although strangely the famous Kaito-sushi restaurant was closed during the whole trip. The staff was excellent, I wish shore hotels would have staff as nice and attentive. The ...
Dining rooms had repetitive menus for five months, the two specialty restaurants Prime 7 & Chartreuse never changed the menus. All dining rooms were chronically understaffed which meant long waits for food to be taken and then dishes cleared. Newly hired staff had little to no idea of what exactly they were responsible for - we repeatedly waved down staff for a refill of water and wine with our ...
We really enjoy the relaxation a cruise provides and were looking forward to sailing on the Pride Of America around the Hawaiian Islands leaving Honolulu Jan 7th 2013 returning Jan 14th 2013 . We love Hawaii and have been there many times and visited all Islands, so thought why not see the islands from a Cruise ship.
However:If you want to spend the day watching the Hawaii Islands drift by ...
Excited to experience my first cruise.
Positives:
Embarkation process was smooth and fairly quick.
Loved the food. A lot of choice at the buffet. Quality of food was good too. Table clearing was so quick… the staff were on top of it.
Wait staff in the dining rooms were prompt, attentive and friendly. Loved our chef at Teppanyaki.
Enjoyed the comedy act. Enjoyed Choir of Man ...
We had not sailed with Princess for many years, but this itinerary was just perfect for us so we booked it even with mediocre reviews.
The ship was great, even perfect for a Panama canal experience as she has a lot of open decks and you could really experience the canal and the locks to the fullest with great, open views available everywhere:
Great forward observation, open deck on deck 15, ...
Having sailed at least six times on NCL in the last two years, we ventured onto this Celebrity ship to try something different. Huge mistake that we will not repeat.
Two positives about this cruise: (1) The staff were generally pleasant and tried hard. (2) Embarkation and disembarkation is the fastest and easiest we ever experienced.
Unfortunately that's all there is to say that's ...
