Disgusting Cruise for 1st Timer

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Elation

My mother chose this cruise for mine and my sons first cruise for our Mother/Daughter trip. We were disappointed from the time we stepped in our cabin Suite U75. First, we had faster to the fun which meant our room should have been ready when we boarded ship at our appointed time of 10:30am. It wasn't ready until 1:30 pm. With a 4 year old and carry on bags made it difficult. Once we got to ...

A LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Divina

We choose to try a MSC cruise largely because of the price. We arrived in Miami about 10:30 and were at the terminal before 11am, expecting to be checked in as we had priority embarkation. The ship was still disembarking, so the doors didn't open until almost noon. We proceded to check in where an in training person had difficulty. It didn't matter as we couldn't board anyway. We found a ...

Well worth the investment

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Liberty

This was very first cruise that wasn't just a casino or day cruise. My cruise mate was a platinum cruiser who was more than willing to show me ropes. Day one, embarkation. Getting through the mayhem of the drug dogs was a breeze and boarding went as easy as you could imagine. We scheduled our embarkation time for 10:30am and was on the boat no later than 11:15. The boat was clean ...

Disappointing

This was our first cruise with MSC and we were super disappointed, especially after the big hype. To start off, we were clearly instructed to not arrive before our embarkation time, which was 12pm. We got the just before 12, thinking it would be a smooth embarkation. We stood in 3 different queues. For 3 hours. They don’t have any way of stopping those that arrive too early (there were people ...

The Getaway

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

Because the Gem is no longer sailing out of NYC in the winter we had to catch the Getaway for our annual winter vacay. The NCL Getaway is part of the Breakaway class & is a larger ship at 145,655 tons & a guest capacity of 3,963 passengers & 1,646 crew. Because the ship is larger it has more decks devoted to balcony cabins & more dining options than the Gem. It also features a different layout ...

First Oceania Cruise - Very Disappointed

Review for a South America Cruise on Marina

We chose Oceania because of friends recommendations. We have been on over a dozen other cruise ships and this was by far the most disappointing experience. For a concierge level room compared to similar class on other ships, this was well below average. The concierge lounge was sparse and the appetizers snacks were the same every day. The worst experiences were found in the shore ...

Disapointment

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

Friends chose the NCL cruise out of NYC and since I had cruised many times with NCL I was happy to join them. Sadly my experience on this cruise was far below my expectations with NCL. This is what I would consider a no frills cruise. Below is what I experienced on this cruise. 1- Breakfast in the two dining rooms, Savory and Taste were always cold, pancakes, waffles, frenchtoast & coffee. ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

This was my second cruise ever. Grew up around boats; and have zero interest in the enormous new ships. I want to see the ocean at all times. Grandeur is Royal Caribbeans "Vision Class," and has acres of windows. It is very easy to get around. I never used the elevators. Previously I cruised in a suite; this time I wanted to see if the cheapest cabin on the oldest ship would suit me. The fare ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Sun

We booked this cruise to the Canaries/Spain/Gibraltar and Madeira relatively last minute and paid the extra to get a Penthouse Suite at the front of the ship which came with additional perks. Upgrading was the best decision we made and I also paid extra for the Free at Sea Plus package. The ship appeared to be about 75% full so rarely felt overcrowded and you could quite easily get a seat in the ...
