This was our first Viking cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We added two days at the beginning and end of the cruise. I definitely recommend the extra days up front because of jet lag. Our cruise was amazing. It was the perfect time to go as we still got to see snow and the mountains and all the waterfalls created by the snow melting. Port of Tampa was very easy port to get into and park. We had Priority Boarding went great on the ship and eating lunch in 10 min. This was our first cruise, and coming off a cruisetour (Y4L) we had four days on the ship. We had an opportunity to upgrade to a Signature Suite from a Veranda and glad we did. If you have not done Alaska, put it at the very top of your bucket list. We did the Northbound on the Jewel plus the five day land tour from Seward to Fairbanks via Denali.
