Hadn't heard of this before, friend at church mentioned it & I booked it at last minute. Ship was great, cabin steward Wirat ("call me Wee") great service. Also great service from our Golden Olympian (gorgeous dining room) server Yadnya (called him YaYa). Showrooms like Venetian Palace or Flowers Lobby (w/glass elevator) were verrrry beautiful
The singers were mostly Southern Gospel so I ...
As far as the cruise itself, this was par for the course for Carnival. I am Platinum with Carnival and while most cruises are fun regardless, I am disappointed in the direction Carnival is going. We started out this cruise with our steward notifying us that we could no longer choose our preferred cleaning time...this was not a big deal, but a shock to me. I then dealt with problem after problem ...
Have previously loved the “ silly” and felt well treated with the food. Presently main dining room offers are more like a Bob Evans…plenty of stew type or pasta dishes. Veggies are skimpy , overcooked and inexpensive. No real meat, starch , salad and good veggie meals.
Specialty restaurants are way overpriced except for the Lawn club..food there is excellent.
Most employees do their best to ...

Super fast embarkation process. Clean rooms. Great crew - especially the officers and our room attendant (Jan). Food is always subjective, but there was plenty and we were satisfied. Breakfasts at the buffet are always my favorite - waffles. Lots of variety at ...
I loved just about everything in this experience. This Ship was immaculate. The employees were magnificent beyond words. The food was great, and plentiful. I wasn't impressed with Guy's Burger Bar...but there were plenty of other options for food. My rooms was cozy, pleasant, temperature-controlled, and made the evening's rest just a delight.
Templeton Tours did a wonderful job with all ...
we decided to try Celebrity after reviews and friends stated they were high end and food was great. We were disappointed with the food. The dining room portions were small and selection just okay. We were glad we upgraded 3 dining nights to get a quality food option. Extra costs( $19) for a 2nd lobster tail in the dining room seemed excessive. No prime rib, even for an added fee, on an 11 night ...
If this cruise on the Celebrity Equinox is how Celebrity intends to do with their fleet (other than the brand new Edge Class), then this Celebrity is just a wanna-be. As some previously mentioned, there is no longer a discernible difference between Celebrity and Royal Caribbean ships in terms of standard services, food & entertainment. Not that RCL has raised the bar, rather, Celebrity has ...
This was our 5th Celebrity cruise, however, it was not up to the standard we have come to expect from Celebrity, particularly when it comes to service and quality/selection of food.We had better service on our previous 2 cruises on Royal Caribbean Oasis class ships. The service in the main dining room was mostly rushed. Most of the servers did not interact with us as they have in the past.Main ...
We are old (60+), and huge cruise fans. My DIL selected this cruise as a mid-winter break, and we just tagged along.
Pre-Cruise Hotel:
The thing about Fort Lauderdale hotels is that they either cost a LOT (and come with amenities like fresh-smelling rooms, clean towels and possibly an attached restaurant), or they cost less than a lot (and you wake repeatedly through the night, listening to ...
generally crowded, disorganized, some staff very disinterested
toilet failed four different days, fixed after several hours but not a great experience
surprised how often I was cut off by restaurant staff, very different feel our other crise experience (on Holland America)
food was unremarkable
all special restaurants and some events were sold out before we could register for them ...
