Let met start with my belief that any day spent on a cruise ship is generally a great day. That said, our experience on the Allure was not what we have come to expect from Royal Caribbean. We like the mega ships and after 21 cruises, we know there are always glitches but clearly the Allure has staffing issues.
Embarkment was the fastest and most organized we ever experienced. We had high ...
I was hoping I wouldn't have to write this review. I had written to NCL's President and CEO, detailing our disappointment and hoping for a reply. None has come, so here is my review.
SKIP THIS SHIP. First, let me say, my wife and I had a nice time because we were determined to have a nice time. However, it could have been so much better. Unless you went outside, other than the pool area, it ...
Panama Canal 10 night partial voyage.
The Holland America Zuiderdam has some serious air conditioning problems. Understandable that when you’re walking through the hallways, it can be a little warm with the deck doors open, however, the rooms should not be to the point where it’s uncomfortable. The second night into our cruise, we called down to customer service and asked them to check the air ...
I chose to schedule this—my first—cruise trip, to spend some time with good friends and visit places I've never seen. I was especially interested in visiting Santorini, Greece and Montenegro. Nevertheless, I was disappointed when, after starting the trip, was informed that both destinations were cancelled. Furthermore, the reasons were generic/non-specific and only given thru a letter left at my ...
The ship was clean and the food was plentiful. From my past experiences on cruised, hsf spptix 4600 people. IIt was hard to find a quiet area on the ship. I did not get the Caribbean feel with the constant blasting of music that was playing. We enjoyed Belize Roatan and Cozumel. The excursions were necessary to actually find areas that were quieter and felt more like the cultural experience ...
We chose the cruise for it's destination, the Panama Canal and for it's embarkation port, Ft. Lauderdale. The ship was fine, the stateroom was excellent and the service staff was wonderful. We did NOT feel the same about the ship personnel. They were aloof and never smiled or made eye contact. We also felt that there was a constant sales pitch for jewelry or spa services. We were inundated by ...
This cruise for our time line for our group and went to ports we wanted to see. Or at least it was supposed to. A week before we flew to Venice we got notified that there were “technical issues“ with the ship and would be missing two ports. They also shortened the time in the rest of the ports we were scheduled to actually visit. For this we got only a $100 non refundable onboard credit. We ...
We have been on several Royal Caribbean Ships and had a wonderful experience. We booked this ship because two of the islands we had not gone to. After we booked it, we heard we were not going to those islands due to propulsion problems. The next thing I found out was they had lowered the price by a lot, but they did not lower my price. I called and spoke to my travel agent but got no help from ...
Embarkation was easy with minimal issues. We were able to drop our carry on in the closet while rooms were prepared, and we went to explore the ship.
Within a few hours the popular specialty dining restaurants were booked. We should have used the kiosks in the stairwells to book as soon as we boarded. The specialty restaurants had good food and superb service. If you like dining al fresco ask ...
We chose the Sinfonia for our November cruise as we'd had a brilliant experience on the same ship in May. Unfortunately, six months is a lifetime for this ship.
Departing from Venice, the embarkation was chaotic, unlike the earlier easy and almost seamless experience in Genoa. Not enough staff and a shoving of Italians all trying to push past made the experience one to forget.
The lifeboat ...
