We did the Rhine Cruise a couple of years ago . Loved this cruise just as much. Were treated onboard by two incredible members of the ship’s waitstaff; Archie and Evan.
This pair smoothed out the rough spots on our trip like it was natural for them to dive in and give special treatment to guests when there was the least amount of an issue. (AC down in dining room)

The Paris and Loire extension was excellent, well timed, with comfortable and good hotels.
Surprisingly, enough time to do a mini city tour of Paris by taxi (no traffic, Parisians are on vacation in August) and easy restaurant reservations.

Overall it was a fantastic trip. I would highly recommend this trip and Viking Cruise Lines. Very impressed with the design and utilization of the space in our cabin. Food and service was good. I was not fond of ocean cruises when I saw the river cruise ads I was intrigued! I am so pleased that I decided this was the adventure for me.
