Exciting itinerary that should have been the hi light of our music route tour of the southern states but proved anything but.
Chose an A grade cabin which was tired and very small - thank heavens we had our own balcony. Clean and well tended by our cabin steward who was delightful.
Entertainment was good if a little narrow in scope relying on a good band and song and dance group. The Mark ...
We just completed a Viking River cruise called Tulips and Windmills on the Viking Magni. This will be the last Viking cruise we will take!
We have been on two previous Viking and three previous Uniworld river cruises. This is the worst cruise we have ever been on.
We had planned to be able to drop off our bags at the boat and be in town to do some sightseeing and we had tickets to the Anne ...
Like most of the other reviewers, we wanted to see Cuba before any major impact by USA tourists. Our tour had been canceled twice before we were able to make the trip. Prior to the cruise emails to Pearl Seas "oyster Society" for multi cruise passengers requesting updates on the status of the cruise were ignored. Phone calls to Pearl Seas were not productive and did not provide any information. ...
We chose this cruise, because like most Americans, we want to see Cuba before Americans ruin it. We also enjoy smaller ships & this ship promised to stop in many ports, originally about 7. We origingallly signed up for the first sailing in early 2016. We changed to the 3rd sailing because we were told that the port side would have the best views. That trip was cancelled several times and we ...
We wanted to experience Cuba before it became "touristified." The Pearl Mist is a lovely ship, wonderful service, great staff, very good food. Highlights of the onshore time included the cultural center in Havana, the visit to El Cobre, and the botanical gardens of Cienfuegos. Also the time in Trinidad was enjoyable but we did not see two of the three attractions listed.
But, the cruise ...
BUYER BEWARE!
On my very recent trip, I found that Vantage’s EXOTIC INDIA, NEPAL & THE SACRID GANGES RIVER TOUR to be anything but exotic. These are the things you can expect:
On the advertised 4 day, pre-tour Nepal supplement, you will spend the better part of 2 days just traveling from Delhi to the hotel in Kathmandu and return to Delhi. Once there, due to an earthquake in 2015 and the ...
Seemed ideal for Christmas market cruise - advertised as 5 nights, all inclusive, found out approx one week before commencement that cruise only 4 nights - but same price! Too late to cancel at that stage.
On arrival on board we found it it was not all inclusive as advertised all drinks with meals were not included. When brochure advertising was pointed out to company this was dismissed as a ...
We chose this cruise for a smaller ship, on board lecturer, fewer passengers. We had to miss our first port due to hurricane damage and that was understandable. We missed another port due to engine problems but nothing was said until we had sat unmoving for several hours and then had to turn back to the previous port. No compensation provided.
Embarkation/debarkation went smoothly. The ship ...
Our Profile: my wife and I are young 70 year-olds. We are both very fit and we both are very careful about what and how much we eat. No fatty meats and I don't eat pork - opposite diet to what Germans crave.
We exercise vigorously every day - 10,000 walking steps etc.
We enjoy the dining experience on cruise ships and going to ship's entertainment/dancing following dinner. We've been ...
have been cruising the mississippi with american queen steamboat company and had a great time , I figured that American cruiseline would be as nice with same type of food and a beautiful ship as well.
The food was like cafeteria meals, No great choices , breakfast was a small table with two types of pastries, with a limited menu ,Dinners and lunch were nothing to talk about.Lots of pork ...
