All of the tour guides were fantastic an so knowledgeable.
In Passau we had a wonderful walking tour of the city. Our fantastic chef demonstrated Apple Strudel making, which was quite tasty!

We did not want an ocean cruise, so for our retirement/anniversary gift to ourselves, we chose a river cruise.
Due to flight cancellations and delays, we missed the first 2 nights in Paris hotel and were the last couple to arrive.
If I have one criticism, it would be the lack of help from Viking in obtaining alternative flights for our situation, they want you to pay more for flight help, ...

We chose this cruise because it starts in Porto, which we wanted to visit, and travels up the Douro River, which looked beautiful. The embarkation is on the Porto side of the river, which makes for more convenient access than for the cruises other than Emerald or Scenic that leave from Vila Nova de Gaia.
